Play that funky music K.K.! Animal City is one of few hidden K.K. tracks.

What are KK Songs?

In the Animal Crossing franchise, K.K. Slider is a traveling musician. Every Saturday night, the black-and-white, guitar wielding pup appears in front of the Resident Services building on the player's island. At this time, he will perform live music.

Players can request any original K.K. songs of their choosing, and he will play it for them. These tracks, collectively known as "K.K. songs," cover a wide range of genres, including but certainly not limited to pop, rock, jazz, and techno.

Why Are They Awesome?

K.K. Slider has become an iconic and beloved staple of the Animal Crossing series as a whole. His songs add a charming musical element to the gameplay experience. K.K. is based on one of the Animal Crossing sound designers/directors, Kazumi Totaka.

Players can build their own collection of these songs. By “registering” the tracks to your radio, you are able to curate your  personalized soundscapes for each room!

There are different ways you can obtain all 95 songs. One way is after 6 p.m, K.K will extend an invitation to select a desired song during his performance. This allows players to either make a specific request, or embrace the surprise of a randomized selection. Once you’ve sat in one of the plaza seats, and watched the performance, you will be given that song to enjoy time and time again!

You may also order a random song daily in the ‘Special Goods’ tab of Nook Shopping, which is conveniently accessible in your ABD machine. Lastly, players can engage in online trades to further diversify their music catalog.

While listening to your song, you get to see who helped create every aspect of the game you know and love!

 10. Bubblegum K.K. :

I know what you’re thinking! Bubblegum K.K. may have overstayed it’s welcome since it has found TikTok fame, but it is still a fan favorite at the end of the day! The nostalgia in this ‘bubbly’ track is what helped it earn a spot on this list. Your homework is to watch the villagers sing the catchy melody when it comes on.

Plus, there are some cute hidden lyrics in this song:

“When the bubblegum pops, I want you to smile and remember every good time we had when skies were gray. Oh bubblegum, dear. Why are you crying? I’ll never let them take my bubblegum away”

9. K.K. Cruisin’ :

When he said “la we wo wow me ma” I felt that! The beats are so infectious that you can find various remixes of this song on YouTube! Fun Fact: This is one song that can be played at the Smashville stage on Saturday nights. Smashville is a stage based on the Animal Crossing Franchise in the Super Smash Bros series.

8. K.K. Disco :

This song transports you to the heart of the plaza’s dance party! With its funky vibes, this song is capable of turning any corner of your island into a neon-lit discotheque. The pulsating rhythms of this track  ensure  that both you, and your villagers can't resist grooving to the retro-futuristic charm of this song!

7. Stale Cupcakes :

Stale Cupcakes is for when you are all disco-ed out. This somber tune gives you the guttural feeling that everyone forgot K.K.’s birthday when he wrote it.

6. Go K.K. Rider! :

If only I could whistle, as this song would be perfect for it! ‘Go K.K. Rider!’ captures the essence of  the various theme songs of Karmen Rider, a superhero TV franchise from the 70’s in Japan.

5. I Love You :

In the original games in this series, this song was a secret song. Beginning in Wild World, it became a song that would be played in villagers' homes. Fast forward to New Horizons, you can receive this song by visiting ⅛ of the following villagers by their favor:

  • Apple,
  • Benedict
  • Broccoli
  • Carrie
  • Iggly
  • Sparro
  • Stitches

4. My Place :

My Place can fit into many moods and aesthetics. It’s down-tempo provides a whimsical vibe.. The drumming on this song is unique in comparison to other K.K Slider songs. It is overall worth a listen in the background while rearranging your island home!

3. K.K. Dirge :

The cover of this album encapsulates the energy of this song. It is filled with eerie, doomy sounds. My favorite thing to do during the Halloween event on ACNH is to place a radio outside, and let my villagers sing to this song. It is similar to that of a lifeless-zombie horror scene. Sometimes it is fun to add a spooky element to a child-friendly game.

2. Steep Hill :

I often  find myself humming, and singing the sounds/ noises of this K.K. staple! It is genuinely so fun and catchy! Steep Hill is a true anthem. This exceptional composition stands as a testament to the power of meloncholy music being an experience in itself.

1.Marine Song 2001 :

The vocalist on this timeless track is another beloved Animal Crossing NPC, Kapp’n! Anyone who has been playing this series for a long time, will agree on one thing: This song takes you back to those older games, sitting in the boat with Kapp’n! The ‘2001’ in the title is a nod to when  Doubutsu no Mori e+ was released. This song is an alteration of “Kapp’ns Song” in the Gamecube game.
