The Executioner is a killer where main power focuses on the ground attacking hits, enabling him to hit survivors from far distances, and of course, very effective in looping, where the Executioner's attack can be seen as quite unpredictable, and therefore very hard for the survivors to avoid as it is mostly focused on luck and whether any mind games are present in the attack.

Nonetheless, let the fog reveal the best Executioner Builds:

5. Optimally Fun Executioner Build

Dead by Daylight gameplay by not Otzdarva

The Optimally Fun Executioner build is a build that focuses on how to make this game as fun as possible, using the least toxic but powerful perks so that it can create as much least toxic atmosphere for the killer.

For instance, with the perks I'm All Ears, it would be easier for Pyramid Head to use his secondary power as he would see the aura of survivors from the other side of loops and therefore pretty much guarantee a hit even though a survivor might not see what is happening, making it a great fun unpredictable build.

What the Optimally Fun Executioner Build Excels In:

  • With the perk I'm all ears, you will be able to see the auras of the survivors who have performed a rush action within a large 48-metre radius of your location, which is very big considering there is an unlikely chance of losing the particular survivor when lost in a chase.
  • The perk Enduring is quite an underrated perk as it will allow you to reduce the duration of any pallet stun, which on the other hand, can save so much time, and for the Executioner, it can have the time to use his power to catch the survivor long distance, which is very advantageous.

Build details & perks:

  • Enduring: Reduces Pallet Stun duration by 40/45/50 %.
  • I'm All Ears: Any Survivor performing a rushed action within 48 metres of your location has their Aura revealed to you for 6 seconds. I'm All Ears can only be triggered once every 60/50/40 seconds.
  • Nemesis:  Any Survivor who blinds or stuns you become the Obsession. Anytime your Obsession switches to another Survivor by any means, that Survivor then suffers from the Oblivious  Status Effect for 40/50/60 seconds, and their Aura is revealed to you for 4 seconds. You can only be obsessed with one Survivor at a time.
  • Dark Devotion:  Whenever the Obsession loses a Health State by any means and thus enters the Injured State, Dark Devotion activates: Your Terror Radius transfers to the Obsession for 20/25/30 seconds, and its radius is set to 32 metres. Grants the Undetectable Status Effect for the same duration.

4. The Plaything Executioner Build

Dead by Daylight gameplay by D3AD Plays

The Plaything Executioner build is a build that is separated into two different parts, the generator surprise part and the survivor surprise part, where the perks depend on the situation where you would use them within the game.

When it comes to the combination of Tinkerer and Pop Goes the Weasel, it is great as it will allow you to go to the generator quietly and regress the generator massively without having to use a lot of effort, and with Plaything and Trail of Torment, it is more for making survivors unaware, making it harder for them to concentrate, making it one of the best builds for anti-concentration and incognito.

What the Plaything Executioner Build Excels In:

  • With perks such as Hex: Plaything, it can be very annoying for the survivors, as its effect comes to blinding and making survivors oblivious once of the hook, which is very powerful, especially when they cannot find the hex, which would usually be in enclosed maps such as Midwich.
  • With Tinkerer, it is considered to be one of the most surprising and powerful perks in terms of incognito, as it will allow you to grant the undetectable status effect and see the generator that has activated this perk, and therefore surprise the survivors by going to the generator and regress it, which is powerful with the combination of pop goes the weasel.

Build details & perks:

  • Tinkerer: Whenever a Generator is repaired to 70 %, you benefit from the following effects: Triggers a Loud Noise Notification for that Generator, revealing its location. Grants the Undetectable  Status Effect for the next 12/14/16 seconds.
  • Pop Goes the Weasel: A deep bond with The Entity unlocks great strength. After hooking a Survivor, Pop Goes the Weasel activates for the next 35/40/45 seconds: Performing the Damage Generator Action on a Generator instantly regresses it by -20 % of its current Progression, after which normal Regression applies.
  • Trail of Torment: Performing the Damage Generator Action on a Generator activates Trail of Torment: Grants the Undetectable  Status Effect until the Generator stops regressing or a Survivor is damaged by any means. The Aura of the damaged Generator is revealed to all Survivors in yellow. Trail of Torment has a cool-down of 80/70/60 seconds.
  • Hex: Plaything:  If at least one Dull Totem remains in the Trial Grounds, Hex: Plaything activates on a random Totem each time a Survivor is hooked for the first time: The hooked Survivor suffers from the Cursed and Oblivious  Status Effects until Hex: Plaything is cleansed. For the first 90 seconds, only the Cursed Survivor can cleanse the Hex Totem. The Aura of Hex: Plaything's Hex Totem is revealed to the Cursed Survivor within 24/20/16 metres.

3. The Find & Attack Executioner Build

Dead by Daylight gameplay by D3AD Plays

The Find & Attack Executioner build a very offensive build that takes on both the generators and survivors in attacking mode. It allows the killer to flawlessly monitor and regress generators without having to use any effort with the perks Tinkerer and Pop go the weasel which gives the ability to come towards the progressed generator undetectable and then pop it, automatically losing -20% of the progress.

Nonetheless, it is a build that is recommended to everyone due to its universality and power, having the ability to press both survivors and generators, making it a very powerful build.

What the Find & Attack Executioner Build Excels In:

  • With pop goes the weasel, you will have the ability to manually regress generators, with an instant regression of -20%, which is very powerful, considering it will lose lots of time in terms of the survivor's perspective and therefore allow you to calmly go on a chase without having to worry about the generator popping.

  • Barbecue & Chilli: After hooking a Survivor, all Survivors who are at least 60/50/40 metres away from that Hook have their Aura revealed to you for 4 seconds.
  • Corrupt Intervention: At the start of the Trial, the 3 Generators located farthest from you are blocked by The Entity for 80/100/120 seconds.

2. The Infectious Pyramid Build

Dead by Daylight gameplay by Silent Executioner

The Infectious Pyramid build is a build that is a virus allowing you to cause chaos within a specific range, for instance, with Infectious fright, which is a great perk for Pyramid Head, as he can, in some areas, snowball the survivors who are within a similar distance and therefore use his secondary power to surprise the survivors.

Nonetheless, other powers come to the generator section, which focuses on blocking and exploding the generators as efficiently as possible, making it a great combination build for attracting more survivors and time.

What the Infectious Pyramid Build Excels In:

  • With the perk Scourge Hook: Pain Resonance is considered one of the most powerful perks in terms of generator regressing, as it will allow you to see the survivors who start repairing the most progressed generator after regressing, therefore allowing you to come back to the generator and gain lots of time in the killer's perspective.
  • With Deadlock, you can see the aura of the most progressed generator and, at the same time, block it, which is very useful, especially when, ahead of time, you know which generator is about to pop, allowing you to patrol the area.

Build details & perks:

  • Deadlock: Whenever a Generator is completed, The Entity blocks the Generator with the most progression for 20/25/30 seconds. The Aura of the blocked Generator is revealed to you in white during this time.
  • Lethal Pursuer:  At the start of the Trial, the Auras of all Survivors are revealed to you for 7/8/9 seconds. Extends the duration of a Survivor's Aura being revealed to you by +2 seconds.
  • Scourge Hook: Pain Resonance: At the start of the Trial, four random Hooks are changed into Scourge Hooks: The Auras of Scourge Hooks are revealed to you in white. Each time a Survivor is hooked on a Scourge Hook, the following effects apply: The Generator with the most Progression explodes, instantly losing 9/12/15 % of its Progression and starting to regress. Survivors repairing that Generator will scream but not reveal their location.
  • Infectious Fright: Whenever a Survivor is put into the Dying State by any means, all other Survivors within your Terror Radius will scream and reveal their current location to you for 4/5/6 seconds.

Dead by Daylight gameplay by RedsGamingGears

The Corrupted Executioner Attack build is a corrupted build that will make all the survivors go crazy due to how corrupted this build is, taking on the universal perks which would make it hard for the survivors within all areas of the game.

Nonetheless, with perks such as Pop goes the weasel and Save the best for the last, it has good offensive chemistry that takes on the generators and then survivors, taking as much time from them as possible, which overall, this build has one of the best chemistry on this list, making it one of the best builds in the deserved number one spot.
