[Top 7] Dota 2 Best Console Commands Everyone Should Use

Console Commands are quite unpopular in the general player base of Dota as they don’t know the advantages and perks it brings to the game. The Console Commands can vary from helping you disable certain settings or can help you enable or optimize your gameplay.

We have compiled this list of the 7 Best Console Commands which will up your performance, whether you're a newbie or an experienced player, these settings are guaranteed to help!

7. dota_health_hurt_decay_time_max 0

This command is quite unheard of by the general masses but it’s quite popular in the professional scene. This essentially is a QoL improvement where there is no delay in the decay of the HP bar. In simple terms, instead of the HP bar slowly fading and reducing as you take damage, this command makes the transition instant which can be helpful in certain situations.

6. key_listboundkeys

This command will help you show what you have bound on which exact button. It’s an extremely useful command for people who are often forgetful about their keybinds and configurations.

5. dota_force_right_click_attack 1

This is a very helpful command for people who have difficulties pressing both left and right mouse buttons at once, or maybe they’re using faulty mice. Whatever the case may be, this command has many uses, but the most important use is that you can use right-click to deny your own creeps.

4. dota_camera_disable_zoom 1

This command works great for all the clumsy players who hastily use the mouse wheel which results in the sudden zoom of the map. This can be risky if you’re in a high-pressure situation and lose control of your hero.

3. dota_minimap_misclick_time x

Ever accidentally clicked on the mini-map while being chased by the enemies? It’s a terrible feeling seeing your hero turn in the opposite direction, directly into their own death. This is preventable if you use this command. You can modify the command by replacing the x with any number (ideally a small one). That number is essentially the number of seconds it takes before your click is registered on the mini-map.

2. dota_disable_range_finder 0

This command is useful for all players regardless of their skill or medal. This command enables the rangefinder on the skills, meaning it shows you the exact range required to cast an ability. The range is marked by green color and the red color after it means you’re out of range for casting the spell.

1. Disconnect

This may seem like a joke but this is a command that surprisingly not many people are aware of. This command disconnects you from the server that you’re connected to, which is faster to do instead of manually leaving the server. This is great if you accidentally click on spectate game and don’t want to wait an eternity to connect and then disconnect.
