[Top 3] Genshin Impact Best Kamisato Ayaka Builds To Slash Through Your Enemies!

Graceful, elegant... and powerful.

"Embrace the ice."

As the Shirasagi Himegemi, Kamisato Ayaka is seen as a beacon of perfection. She is beautiful, elegant, and talented. As the eldest daughter of the Kamisato Clan of the Yashiro Commission of Inazuma, she is indeed a force to be reckoned with. With grace and style, Kamisato Ayaka’s icy blade can slash through even the mightiest of foes.

Kamisato Ayaka is a 5-star Cryo sword user known for both her immense capability of dealing damage while retaining a very simple kit and playstyle. You can never really go wrong with how you want her to deal damage. Furthermore, she is also great as an exploration character with her special dash.

With all these wonderful things from Ayaka, how will you use all of them to gain advantage on the battlefield? No worries, this guide will lead you in the right direction. Without further ado, here are the top 3 best builds for Kamisato Ayaka.

3. Charged Attack Build

Kamisato Ayaka, no doubt, has the best Charged Attack in the game. It is unbelievably quick and also has some range. It can even follow the enemy even after they teleport away! This build will emphasize on Kamisato Ayaka’s Normal Attack skill (where her Charged Attack damage scales from), though admittedly will reduce the amount of times her Elemental Burst will come out.

Before proceeding with the build itself, it is important to note that using Ayaka in any build will require you to take advantage of her alternate sprint Kamisato Art: Senho. With this, not only will Ayaka move at an incredibly fast pace, she will also infuse her blade with Cryo and also apply Cryo to her enemies, slowing them down.

Furthermore, when Ayaka applies Cryo to her enemies with her alternate sprint, it will trigger another passive skill, Kanten Senmyou Blessing, which will restore 10 of her stamina and boost her Cryo DMG Bonus by 18%. All of this will happen in just one sprint!

Going now to the actual build, here is what you will need for a Charged Attack Kamisato Ayaka build.

Artifacts to use:

4-piece Shimenawa’s Reminiscence

  • 2-piece effect: ATK +18%.
  • 4-piece effect: When casting an Elemental Skill, if the character has 15 or more Energy, they lose 15 Energy and Normal/Charge/Plunging Attack DMG is increased by 50% for 10s. This effect will not trigger again during that duration.

Stats and substats to look for:

Ayaka would need some Energy Recharge so she can help overcome the Energy penalty of the artifact set, but it doesn’t need to be a main artifact stat.

  • Flower (Flat HP fixed): ATK, ATK%, Crit Rate, Crit Damage
  • Plume (Flat ATK fixed): ATK, ATK%, Crit Rate, Crit Damage
  • Sands (ATK%): Energy Recharge, ATK%, Crit Rate, Crit Damage
  • Goblet (Cryo Damage Bonus): Energy Recharge, ATK%, Crit Rate, Crit Damage
  • Circlet (Crit Rate or Crit Damage): Energy Recharge, Elemental Mastery, Crit Rate, Crit Damage

Before going onto the weapons needed for this build, there is another passive skill of Ayaka that  is worth mentioning. Since this build will require you to use her Elemental Skill to trigger the 4-piece effect of the artifact, it is great to know that doing so will activate the Amatsumi Kunitsumi Sanctification where it will increase her Normal and Charged Attack damage by 30% more!

Moving on to weapons, Kamisato Ayaka with Charged Attack build would require a weapon that will increase her overall damage output. Here are some of the best weapons for Charged Attack Ayaka build:

  • The Alley Flash is an excellent 4-star weapon for Charged Attack Ayaka build that would require some Wishing, but at least won’t necessarily require real money to obtain. It’s substat is Elemental Mastery, which will be great when triggering Melt (Cryo + Pyro) reactions.

  • If you have bought the Battle Pass, the sword The Black Sword is perhaps one of the best weapons for this build of Ayaka, as it will increase her Normal and Charged Attack Damage. Though Ayaka already ascends with the Crit Rate stat, a little more wouldn’t hurt and would actually allow you to focus more on Crit Damage for her artifact stats.

  • However, if you want even bigger numbers from Ayaka’s Charged Attack, using the 5-star event weapon Mistsplitter Reforged will help you achieve that with ease with all of its extra damage boosters!

For team compositions, it is important to note that Ayaka will always be on the field for this build. Therefore, teaming her up with units that can do what they need to do in a heartbeat is key. Here are some amazing team compositions for Charged Attack Ayaka build:

  • Kamisato Ayaka, Thoma, Xiangling, Diona
  • Kamisato Ayaka, Xinqiu, Rosaria, Barbara
  • Kamisato Ayaka, Zhongli, Kaedahara Kazuha, Sangonomiya Kokomi

2. Burst DPS Build

Coming in at number two focuses more on Kamisato Ayaka’s Elemental Burst. This skill of hers is known for being able to kill most bosses with just a press of a button. This Ayaka build, however, will make her appear less on the battlefield, but when she does, nothing else will stand after.

Here’s what you will need for Burst DPS Ayaka build.

Artifacts to use:

2-piece Noblesse Oblige and 2-piece Blizzard Strayer

  • 2-piece effects: Elemental Burst Damage +20% and Cryo DMG Bonus +15%.

An alternative build for this would be 4-piece Emblem of Severed Fate which will make you need to invest in Energy Recharge more.

Stats and substats to look for:

  • Flower (Flat HP fixed): ATK, ATK%, Crit Rate, Crit Damage
  • Plume (Flat ATK fixed): ATK, ATK%, Crit Rate, Crit Damage
  • Sands (ATK%/Energy Recharge): Energy Recharge, ATK%, Crit Rate, Crit Damage
  • Goblet (Cryo Damage Bonus): Energy Recharge, ATK%, Crit Rate, Crit Damage
  • Circlet (Crit Rate or Crit Damage): Energy Recharge, ATK%, Crit Rate, Crit Damage

Building Ayaka as Burst DPS will have more flexibility when it comes to weapons. You can use anything that would help mitigate what you lack on your artifact substats.

Here are some weapons you can use for Burst DPS Ayaka:

  • The craftable weapon Amenoma Kageuchi is an excellent source of both ATK and a form of gaining back Energy. When you achieve 3 Succession Seeds then do Elemental Burst, you will gain a portion of your Energy back!

  • Favonius Sword is your go-to when you feel like your Elemental Burst isn’t as up as you want it to be. With both its substat and weapon skill helping you regain Energy back, there’s no doubt that Ayaka will always be ready with her Elemental Burst.

  • Mistsplitter Reforged is still considered the best weapon for Ayaka even for this build, however it is an event weapon. If you missed it, you can use another 5-star weapon that’s always present on the Standard Banner called Skyward Blade. The weapon’s substat is Energy Recharge, and performing an Elemental Burst will increase your Normal and Charged Attack DMG if you feel like using it.

While Ayaka’s Elemental Burst may deal a lot of damage, it is also kind of finicky because it can result in a loss of damage when the enemy goes away from the center of the Cryo storm it creates. Ayaka’s Elemental Burst will deal a lot of damage if you make sure that the enemy stays in place. This makes Freeze (Hydro + Cryo) team compositions advantageous for this build.

Of course, there are some other ways to keep them in place, like Anemo CC or Petrify. Here are some team compositions for Burst DPS Ayaka:

  • Kamisato Ayaka, Xinqiu, Barbara, Sucrose
  • Kamisato Ayaka, Zhongli, Xinqiu, Diona
  • Kamisato Ayaka, Tartaglia, Sangonomiya Kokomi, Venti

1. Blizzard Strayer Build

And the best build for Kamisato Ayaka is one that will enhance all of her skills, making her deal constant damage, whether it is from her Normal or Charged Attack, Elemental Skill, or Elemental Burst. This build will make Ayaka one of the best DPS units in the game

Here’s what you will need for this Ayaka build:

Artifacts to use:

4-piece Blizzard Strayer

  • 2-piece effect: Cryo DMG Bonus +15%
  • 4-piece effect: When a character attacks an opponent affected by Cryo, their CRIT Rate is increased by 20%. If the opponent is Frozen, CRIT Rate is increased by an additional 20%.

Stats and substats to look for:

  • Flower (Flat HP fixed): ATK, ATK%, Crit Rate, Crit Damage
  • Plume (Flat ATK fixed): ATK, ATK%, Crit Rate, Crit Damage
  • Sands (ATK%): ATK, ATK%, Crit Rate, Crit Damage
  • Goblet (Cryo Damage Bonus): ATK, ATK%, Energy Recharge, Crit Damage
  • Circlet (Crit Damage): ATK, ATK%, Energy Recharge, Crit Damage

With this build, Kamisato Ayaka will even be more flexible and not really look for too specific weapon skills. She will be magnified with anything that increases her damage in any way.

Here are some of the best weapons for this Blizzard Strayer Ayaka build:

  • Amenoma Kageuchi and The Alley Flash are both very usable 4-star weapons for Blizzard Strayer Ayaka. It will only depend if you prefer crafting the weapon or taking a risk and Wishing for the weapon. It goes without saying that Amenoma Kageuchi is focused more on keeping Ayaka’s Elemental Burst up while The Alley Flash will focus on all facets of Ayaka’s damage.
  • If you have managed to save up some Masterless Starglitter throughout all your Wishes, you can exchange weapons from Paimon’s Bargains in the menu. There, you can get Blackcliff Longsword for 24 Masterless Starglitter. This is an excellent weapon for Blizzard Strayer Ayaka as it will increase both her ATK and Crit Damage stat. If it’s not in Paimon’s Bargains menu now, you might have to wait for next month for it to come back.

  • As expected, the best 5-star weapon for Blizzard Strayer Ayaka is also Mistsplitter Reforged. This weapon is undoubtedly built for her. If you managed to obtain this beast of a weapon, you don’t need to look further. This will make your Ayaka a god-like DPS.

Building a team around Blizzard Strayer Ayaka will all come down to how you want to play her, but she is extremely flexible. You can put her in a Melt (Cryo + Pyro) team that can take advantage of the Pyro Elemental Resonance, or much like the Burst DPS build, you can also put Blizzard Strayer Ayaka in a Freeze (Cryo + Hydro) team.

Regardless of where you put her, she will still deal heaps of damage to enemies. But here are some cool team compositions for Blizzard Strayer Ayaka:

  • Kamisato Ayaka, Xinqiu, Kaeya, Barbara
  • Kamisato Ayaka, Thoma, Bennett, Sucrose
  • Kamisato Ayaka, Hu Tao, Kaedahara Kazuha, Bennett
  • Kamisato Ayaka, Zhongli, Albedo, Venti

And that’s a wrap for the three best builds for Kamisato Ayaka! Which one is your favorite? Remember, you can play her however you want! Find the most fun build for you!

If you missed having Kamisato Ayaka in your roster, you’re going to have to wait for her Event Banner “The Heron’s Court” to come back. Hopefully, you won’t have to wait too long since Genshin Impact recently started incorporating three or more Character Event Banners each Version. Good luck!
