Kenshi is full of items that are either incredibly useful or utterly useless. I will give you a list of items that you can sell for a lot to shopkeepers scattered around the world of Kenshi. I’ll talk about how common they are, how expensive they are and how much space they take in your inventory. Let’s start:
10. Generator Core
Heavy as your momma!
Generator cores can be found in robotics/mechanics shops. They are heavy as hell and sell for 2755 cats each. You can also find them in ancient labs, workshops, libraries, and other hellholes. Put a hundred of these things in your backpack and reach 100 strength in a day!
Why this item is awesome for selling:
- Takes very little space in your inventory
- 2755 cats? I’ll take that.
- Perfect for strength training

9. Power Core
Serves no purpose, yet costs a lot!
Power Cores can be found in ancient locations, they take an average amount of space and sell for 3,000 cats each. If you’re gonna go on a trip to ancient laboratories or libraries, you will most likely find a lot of those things laying around. You don’t need them for crafting, they were put into the game for the sole purpose of being sold for 3k cats. Kek.
Why this item is awesome for selling:
- Common in shops and ancient locations
- 3,000 cats

8. Skeleton Eye
Another useless item that sells for a lot.
This item can be found in previously mentioned locations, such as ancient labs, robotics shops, and surprisingly, not on Skeletons. According to the lore of Kenshi, Skeletons don’t need eyes, yet they were put in the game. Interesting!
Why this item is awesome for selling:
- 3,600 cats
- Takes little to no space
- Can be stolen from shops

7. Beak Thing Egg
Are you sure you need those eggs?
Yes, I am sure. I don’t care about the Beak Things, they are the least dangerous creatures in Kenshi. Where can you find them? At a Beak Thing’s nest - there should be at least 5-7 eggs per nest.
Don’t do this if your primary stats are not above 20 - you might die!
Why this item is awesome for selling:
- 4,200 cats per egg
- 5-7 eggs per nest
- F&*K Beak Things

6. CPU Unit
I need a CPU for my PC :/
These things, once again, can be found in PREVIOUSLY MENTIONED LOCATIONS, such as the ancient libraries, laboratories, workshops, and yadi-yada. They don’t take too much space and are very expensive. You should feel happy if you find one of those!
Why this item is awesome for selling:
- 6,000 cats, baby
- Takes little space for its price

5. Fog Prince Head
Bag of potatoes.
This one can be only found in the Foglands. How do you find it? Well, firstly, you need to behead a Fog Prince. Each head goes for a hefty 6,000 cats. Are these guys hard to kill? Hell no, they’re fragile and die in a few hits. You should worry about the Fogpricks that guard them but once again if your stats are gucci, you’ve got nothin’ to worry about!
Why this item is awesome:
- Fog Princes ain’t nothing too tough
- 6,000 cats per head

4. Ancient Science Book
Sell them or use them?
Well, these books are valuable for researching new technologies, but at the same time, they cost 5,000 EACH. And you usually find a few of these books per container in ancient labs and other such locations. They take 1x1 square of space and they stack as well.
Why this item is awesome for selling:
- Take no inventory space
- Sells for 5,000 cats each
- Can also be used for researching

3. Engineering Research
A red square.
You can find those usually in workshops and sometimes ancient labs, they take as much space as an ancient science book and are stacking. They are also used for researching new stuff, such as multi-barrel harpoon turrets, new buildings, etc. It’s a shame to sell those though, Engineering Research is pretty hard to find.
Why this item is awesome for selling:
- Takes as much space as an ancient science book
- 8,000 cats each

2. Leviathan Pearl
How could you?
How could you steal this pearl off of a poor Leviathan? You know that they need those to live, right? As soon as the pearl is taken from their inventory, its status will change to “Dead”. As sad as this is, the pearls go for 12,000 cats.
So yeah, worth it. Make sure to form a group of people with you before slaughtering Leviathans, cuz these enormous animals are tough!
Why this item is awesome for selling:
- Good source of money in late-game
- Leviathans are awesome for training stats as well
- 12,000 cats!

1. AI Core
Sell for a lot.
These bad boys are used for researching the highest tier technology, such as hydroponics, various prosthetic limbs, automated mines, and improved harpoon turrets. But… you could also sell them, for 25,000 cats each. Perhaps you don’t like outposts and you don’t care about tech and all that jazz, you just want that MONEH!
Why this item is awesome for selling:
- Sells for 25,000 cats each.
- Can be found in the Ashlands pretty frequently
- If you change your mind, you can always use these for your outpost!
