LoL Best Rengar Skins That Look Freakin' Awesome (Ranked Worst to Best)

Out of the 7 skins Rengar has, choosing the best one is difficult. Here we have ranked them from worst to best based on 4 criteria. These are general appearance, ability animations, SFX and recall animation. This list will help you choose where to spend your money.

7. SSW Rengar

SSW Rengar Skin Spotlight

SSW Rengar is a Legacy skin that was released after Samsung White won the championship. The skin is good-looking in terms of general appearance but it has no new animations, sound effects or particles. It is an old skin and desperately needs a revamp. This would be one of those skins a real Rengar enthusiast would get. Otherwise, it is not worth the buck. If you like the base Rengar animations but just want him to wear cool clothes and a headset, then you should get it.

General appearance: 8/10

Ability animations: 5/10

SFX: 5/10

Recall animation: 5/10

The skin costs 750 RP and is available only when the legacy vault opens. You can also acquire it through Hextech crafting.

6. Mecha Rengar

Mecha Rengar Skin Spotlight

Mecha Rengar is not placed higher in the list and this is due to a lot of reasons. There is something about this skin that doesn’t suit him. The base colour of the skin is bronze and you are stuck with buying a chroma to make him look better. The Q animation is extremely weird and slightly affects your gameplay if you are not used to it. He looks a lot more “boxy” and clunky to play. They did give nice animations to his abilities other than Q and a very cool recall animation but that does not compensate for the rest of the stuff.

SFX: 6/10

Recall animation: 8/10

5. Night Hunter Rengar

Night Hunter Rengar Skin Spotlight

Night Hunter Rengar is the favourite skin of many Rengar mains but we have not put him at the top for a few reasons. The skin has awesome splash art. It is a super unique skin considering you can press Ctrl + 5 to put the hood on and off as per requirement. But being an old league skin, it cannot be compared to the latest skins. It has an underwhelming in-game model. The animations just add the colour blue and there are no new SFX. The recall animation could have been better than just putting your hood on and posing.

General appearance: 7/10

SFX: 6/10

Recall animation: 7/10

4. Headhunter Rengar

Headhunter Rengar Skin Spotlight

I love Headhunter Rengar and use him very frequently in my games. It is an “Alien VS Predator” themed skin. It was also the very first Rengar skin to be released. The skin adds new brown particles for abilities and auto-attacks and when in stealth, he looks a bit different. It adds no new SFX. The recall animation is the same. The general appearance of the skin is purely excellent. There are chromas for the skin as well that make him look even cooler. This skin is recommended for pure Rengar mains.

3. Guardian of the Sands Rengar

Guardian of the Sands Rengar turns him into a Persian kitty. The skin gives a “Prince of Persia” vibe. It gives Rengar a new model, new ability animations, a very cool new recall animation and new sandy SFX. The skin is well designed and gives a sandy feel when you play it. The sounds to this skin are very smooth and so is the W animation.

General appearance: 8/10

2. Sentinel Rengar

Sentinel Rengar in action

Sentinel Rengar is the latest Rengar skin available. It is a very smooth skin with Rengar having tied-up hair. The animations seem very nice. It resembled Guardian of the Sands Rengar a bit giving him sharp SFX. Rengar’s model also looks very smart in-game. All in all, it is a very decent skin. He looks a lot like classic Rengar with new armour and effects.

General appearance: 9/10

1. Pretty Kitty Rengar

Pretty Kitty Rengar Skin Spotlight

Pretty Kitty Rengar is by far the most fun and awesome-looking Rengar skin and in my opinion will continue to be forever. The skin turns the fearsome predator into a kitty with the cutest SFX, ability animations and recall. The skin also has a lot of chromas and the best one is “obsidian”. You’re most likely to stick with this skin for the rest of your Rengar games if you choose to buy it.

General appearance: 9/10 (because obsidian chroma is obviously the best one)

Ability animations: 10/10

SFX: 10/10 (meow meow)

Recall animation: 10/10 (literal kitty in a box)
