Odette is a beneficial mage who often empowers teammates with her unique skills to stun, penetrate, and slow down opponents. Her one-of-a-kind Ultimate Skill (Swan Song) channels magic around her while also generating a shield that reinforces her other skills and should be relied on by her as a high-powered spongy hero.

Odette is known as the Princess of Swan Lake and specializes in Burst/Poke. She is a well-known partner for Tank Hero Johnson which increases her in-game value, especially during selection phases where players are contemplating their best selection. Odette is a valuable hero that serious mage users should have in their arsenal as she brings a lot to battle in support. 

Strengths

• Crowd Control - CC effects through Odette’s Second and Ultimate Skills can offer support to her teammates in the front lines of battle alongside Tanks. Combined with her outrageous power in burst and damage, this proves to be one of her primary strengths.
• Sizeable and Vast Area of Effect (AoE) - Through the use of her Ultimate Skill (Swan Song), Odette can cover large areas with immense damage and power. She can also dash with this skill on second touch, which is troublesome for opponents on retreat.
• Continuous Damage - Odette’s Continuous Damage fundamentally relies on her Ultimate Skill through Burst. This also provides a temporary shield for her and increases the power of succeeding damage delivered. This is also an offensive strategy that can be used in retreat. Her First and Second Skills also target multiple opponents within range through her Passive Skill (Lakeshore Ambience) that offers Continuous Damage.
• Skill Combination - If mastered well, Odette’s Second and Ultimate Skill provide a lethal combination while her First Skill (Avian Authority) can finish off if necessary as she has a temporary buff from her ultimate skill.

• Slow Mobility - Odette is generally slow in movement unless slightly buffed by her Ultimate Skill which can last for only two to three seconds. Unless she delivers damage to generate HP, she is primarily weak in defense.
• Squishy - As a high damage dealer, Odette can easily be marked by assassins, fighters and marksmen. If not well farmed, her Ultimate Skill may be deemed ineffective against high powered opponents but can be a defensive strategy for her.
• Fairly Difficult to Master - Though easy to understand, Odette is not easy to master in an approach that realizes her full potential. Adding on to this is the fact that she is slow in mobility and so learning how to use her skills in offense and attack takes time and understanding as she can be easily countered.
• Easy to Disarm - Odette’s Ultimate Skill can be disarmed if opponents are too close and she isn’t well farmed. It is advisable to engage her Ultimate Skill from a safe distance and use the dash on second touch to get closer.

• Genius Wand ($2000) - This Magic Wand deals magic damage and reduces magic defense through its unique Passive. It also has a unique Attribute that offers Magic Penetration. This is the perfect item for mid to late stages of battle, as it is a nuisance against CC and AoE heroes that roam the front lines of battle.
• Glowing Wand ($2200) - Another Magic Wand that has the unique Passive ability to Scorch and deliver extra Magic Damage that targets opponents HP per second. Suiting for this build and genuine for late-game, as it offers continuous damage that lasts up to three seconds.
• Winter Truncheon ($1910) - This Ice themed magic weapon has the active skill that enables you to freeze for up to five seconds and become immune for an extra two seconds when resuming gameplay. It is handy when countering high damage attacks in anticipation for skill cooldown amongst opponents where you can launch an attack or retreat.

Emblem

A Magic Emblem best suits this build as it is more flexible in supporting this versatile build. It has a unique Passive that restores Mana and HP upon clearing Minion Waves in Lanes. You can appoint Talent Points to the following on your Emblem Talent Page depending on your style of gameplay.

• Energy - To enhance Mana.
• Vitality - To enhance HP.
• Awaken - For Mana Regen.
• Flow - To enhance Magic Power.
• Desire - For Cooldown Reduction and Magic Life Steal.
• Observation - For Magic Penetration.

Battle Spell

Flicker is the only Battle Spell that should be utilized and mastered with Odette. It offers an escape strategy and also a third dash to her Ultimate Skill while she is generating damage.

2. Late-Game Core

With this build, Odette can burst into damage in the mid to late stages of battle. This is a heavy build filled with High Damage Magic Items. It requires emphasis on farming to build these high value items while leading in gold count against the enemy team.

This is a build that leans more towards an attack strategy, as it aims to capitalize on HP and Mana Regen. It also requires patience in the early stages of the game, as the Items are highly valued and take time to obtain. With good support, this is a build that can be used to poke the front lines and dole out extreme burst in damage during the late stages of battle.

Use this build if.

•  You Have a Complete Team Line Up - This is a build that depends on teamwork and team farm. Its emphasis is on the late stages of battle so maintaining position on the battlefield and achieving farming objectives requires a team effort from a well-structured team that covers all the roles.
• You’re Playing Against High Damage Dealers - High damage dealers such as Assassins and Marksmen become more powerful as the battle goes on but also become more squishy. Odette’s Skill Set enhanced by this build is extremely dangerous against this category of heroes. Added on to this is her CC and AoE Effects that are enhanced by this build and can take on multiple heroes, from Tanks and Fighters to Mages and Marksmen.
• You’re Well-Learned in Playing Odette - As Odette lacks defensive skills, she is more vulnerable with this build. The build emphasizes HP and Mana Regen through her Burst Skills but renders her powerless if her Skills are timed and countered. Mastering Odette is a daunting task when considering her simple yet complex design.

Use this build if you’re playing against High Damage Dealers but with the intent to neutralize front line opponents in the late game. Take note that Odette is defenseless and relies on her Burst in Damage for HP and Mana Regen to sustain her while farming into the late-game.

• Glowing Wand ($2200) - For the mid to late stages of battle, this is a superb harass and continuous damage item that escalates Odette’s Skill Set. It stacks up to six times and delivers Magic Damage that burns opponents for up to three seconds.
• Lightning Truncheon ($2250) - Perfect for the late-game in clearing lanes, this item has a lightning effect that accompanies Odette’s First Skill (Avian Authority). Its unique Passive adds extra Magic Damage to successive damage dealt on up to three opponents. It is an ideal item that enhances Odette’s Ultimate Skill impact with this build.
• Ice Queen Wand ($2240) - This Item has a unique Passive that slows down opponents for up to 15 seconds. This greatly enhances Odette’s Ultimate Skill in the late game. It also enhances Magic Power, Magic Lifesteal and HP which makes it a deadly item through this build that depends on attack strategies and methods of survival.
• Genius Wand ($2000) - This wand is the ultimate end to this build. It possesses a unique attribute that deals Magic Penetration and reduces the opponent's Magic Defense. This is the ideal item to use against other mages in the late game.

Emblem

A Magic Emblem best suits this build, as it is convenient in the late stages of battle and enhances Odette’s HP and Mana Regen through her burst in successful damage dealt. It also restores 2% HP and 3% Mana when clearing minions, which contributes to farming advantages in the early game. Talent Points may be assigned to the following, depending on your preferences.

• Energy - Boosts  Mana Regen.
• Vitality - Amplifies HP.
• Awaken - For Mana Regen.
• Flow - To enhance Magic Power.
• Observation - For Magic Penetration.

Battle Spell

As stated before, Flicker is the only Battle Spell that ought to be mastered with Odette. She is slow and Flicker improves her mobility. It also acts as a third dash for her Ultimate Skill and is an ability that must be mastered to realize the full extent of her Ultimate.

This build focuses on Odette’s Burst Specialty. Given Odette’s versatility, it also enhances her Poke Specialty, given the high Magic Damage Items that can harass enemy lines and lead to team fights. Odette’s CC and AoE Skills can disarm sustaining heroes in the front lines as well.

This is a simple and basic Mage Build that is common for other Mages as well. It focuses on burst as most mages are high damage dealers that specialize in Burst as well like Odette. If battle carries on over a prolonged period, it is advisable to substitute the last item for life support items such as immortality.

• Holy Crystal ($2180) - This sacred crystal adds Magic Power, which is necessary for Burst in Attack.
• Genius Wand ($2000) - This reduces the opponent's Magic Defense through its Passive and has the unique attribute of Magic Penetration. It highly complements this Burst Build and the items before it.
• Glowing Wand ($2200) - Apart from enhancing movement speed and HP that are necessary for Burst, this wand burns targets for three seconds and delivers additional Magic Damage.
• Divine Glaive ($1970) -  This is a spell breaker with Magic Penetration that penetrates Magic Defense. It also provides Magic Power to damage dealt. This is the perfect end to this build as it supplements the overall burst through this build.

Emblem

A Mage Emblem is recommended for this build. This is due to its unique Passive called Magic Worship that when dealing damage greater than 7% of an opponent's Max HP three times within 5 seconds, it inflicts three times extra Magic Damage. This supplements Odette’s Burst Specialty that is focused on in this build. Depending on preference, you can assign Talent Points to the following.

• Energy - Boosts Mana Regen.
• Vitality - Amplifies HP.
• Flow - To enhance Magic Power.
• Observation - For Magic Penetration.

Battle Spell

Flicker is the only Battle Spell that should be mastered with Odette. It provides an extra form of Burst to this build, especially as a third dash to her Ultimate Skill.
