I’m a sucker for character customization, and Pokemon Scarlet and Violet are no exception. There are so many clothes in this game! And yet, all the shirts and pants combos are lackluster because most are tied to a school uniform. Alas, I’ll rank the top 10 best-looking uniforms in this article.
Note: this list is subjective, so let me know what you guys think and what your favorite uniforms are!
10. New Summer Uniform
- First on our list is the New Summer Uniforms. These outfits are just okay for me. Like lukewarm faucet water, just ok, nothing special here or there. I will say, that they do look better than the base Summer Uniforms! I’m not a fan of a dress shirt paired with shorts; it just looks off, you know?
- These uniforms are obtained right after you buy the DLC.
- The uniform on the right is for Scarlet players, and the one on the left is for Violet players.
9. New Spring Uniform
- The New Spring Uniforms are better than okay, I’d give them a solid nice. Again, they’re far superior to their base counterparts. The base Spring Uniforms look silly with the suspenders; they look like something Carl Fredricksen from Up would wear. No thanks! These updated uniforms are much more pleasing and I like the sweater over the button-up.
- These are given after you buy the DLC.
- The uniform on the right is for Scarlet players and the one on the left is for Violet players.
8. New Autumn Uniform
- Next up are the New Autumn Uniforms. Geez, these new uniforms are tons better than the base uniforms. Have I gotten that across enough? The upgrade from a dumb, poofy jacket to a pleasant, simple one is brilliant. I love the lightweight jacket; it compliments the buttoned undershirt nicely.
- These uniforms will be accessible after purchasing the DLC.
- The uniform on the right is for Scarlet players and the one on the left is for Violet players.
7. Modified Uniform (A/B)
- Coming in 7th we have the Modified Uniforms (A and B). The more casual look to the uniform is more my style since most of the uniforms look too formal or stiff for my comfort. I wish there were more relaxed, loose versions for all the uniforms just to give more options!
- You need the Indigo Disk DLC to get these uniforms
- Both Modified Uniforms can be unlocked when you talk to Giacomo and Eri at the Academy and complete the Team Star post-game side quest.
6. Festival Jinbei (Green)
- Now we’re hitting the jinbei outfits! These outfits look so comfy and easy to wear! They remind me of Pokemon Legends: Arceus and the outfits you could rock in that game. These jinbei are a welcome departure from the boring school uniforms.
- You need the Teal Mask DLC to get the jinbei outfits.
- Progress through the Teal Mask story to unlock the jinbei outfits.
5. Festival Jinbei (Deep Blue)
- I had to put the blue one above the green one because my favorite color is blue, and it has better color coordination with other pieces I like to put on my character.
- Get this jinbei with the Teal Mask DLC.
- Complete the Teal Mask DLC story and talk to Carmine and Kieran's Grandmother.
4. Festival Jinbei (White/Grey)
- The next jinbei we have is the classy-looking White/Grey color. It’s stunning to look at, but I fear that with all those messy sandwiches I make, it’d be best to pack extra clothes just in case!
- Teal Mask DLC is required to get this outfit.
- Complete the Teal Mask DLC story and talk to Carmine and Kieran's Grandmother.
3. Festival Jinbei (Flashy)
- Now this jinbei is the cream of the crop! Just look at those colors pop! Such glory, glamor, and shininess! With all that glitz and glam going on, it definitely shows your fellow Trainers you’re loaded!
- To get this outfit, you need the Teal Mask DLC.
- Donate ₽1,000,000 to the Loyalty Plaza Drive.
2. Tracksuit (Black/Gold)
- Although I think tracksuits are dorky in real life, they just work in games. And pair that with the classic, cool combo of black and gold and I’m sold. This outfit is one of my favorites in the entire game just for the epic color scheme and overall design.
- Indigo Disk DLC is needed to get this outfit.
- Invite Drayton to the League Club Room and defeat him in battle.
1. New Winter Uniform
- And now we have the number one best-looking uniform in Scarlet and Violet: the New Winter Uniform! You can’t say no to the snazzy swagger of a good suit! And the pattern is so vibrant and lively, I love it! I’m surprised that a school uniform can catch my eye, but with such sleek coolness, how could I not want to rock this on my character everywhere I go? My favorite is the orange variant, so I’m jealous of Scarlet players for once since I have Violet myself.
- Preorder the Pokemon Scarlet and Violet DLC and this fancy suit is yours.
- The orange variant is for Scarlet players and the purple one is for Violet players.
Now that you know how I feel about the various uniforms in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, it’s time to get out there and see which ones you like for yourself! And tell us if there are any uniforms that you absolutely love, too! Which ones do you hate with a passion? Let us know!
