[Top 15] Pokemon Scarlet Violet Best Raid Pokemons

Mightiest Mark Tera Raids, let's go!

What is Tera Raid, and why is it important to use the right Pokemon?

Tera Raids are when 4 trainers face 1 wild Tera-Type Pokémon they're trying to catch.

To start Tera Raids online, join one in the Poké portal or host one by interacting with a Tera crystal on Paldea, Kitikami, and Blueberry Academy. You can always Tera Raid offline.

It's important to use the right Pokémon because there are plenty of factors that come to mind, such as:

  • Type strengths and weaknesses
  • IV's and EV's
  • Moves it can learn
  • Natures it can learn
  • Abilities it can learn

All Tera Raids have different difficulties, but the most important Tera Raids are here below.

  • 4-Star Tera Raids require Pokémon level 45 and up.
  • 5-Star Raids require Pokémon Level 75 and up.
  • 6-Star Tera raids require Pokémon Level 90 and up.
  • 7-Star Tera raids require Pokémon Level 100.

This list shows Pokémon levels 45 and up.

Are some Pokemon stronger than others for Tera Raid?

Yes, there are! It depends on their type and Tera-type and the variety of movesets and IVs they have.

However, when it comes to Tera Raids, IV's are super important.

IV's are individual values in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet.

IVs are an overview of a Pokémon's stats, such as Attack, Special Attack, Defense, Special Defense, HP, and Speed.

Natures, Abilities, held items, and particular moves can heighten those IV's during the Tera Raid.

As a disclaimer, you can always tweak your Pokémon by changing its moves, nature, and abilities. Changing its nature will highly affect its base stats, making you start fresh and aim for different moves and abilities.

This list is ranked based on the strength of the Pokémon and the difficulty of handling them during Tera Raids.

15. Annihilape

Annihilape stats:

Background

  • Fighting and Ghost Type. Fighting Tera Type.
  • Held item: Shell Bell: Restore a little HP every time it inflicts damage with an attack.
  • Inner Focus ability: Intense focus prevents it from flinching or being affected by Intimidate
  • Rash nature: Increased Special Attack, decreased Special Defense

Stats

  • 266 HP
  • 210 Attack
  • 117 Special Attack
  • 134 Special Defense
  • 148 Defense
  • 169 Speed

Moves

  • Rage fist
  • Cross Chop
  • Bulk Up
  • Rain Dance

Let me introduce you to Annihilape. He’s one of the most difficult Pokémon to handle during Tera Raids because he’s most powerful at low HP and can faint many times. Annihilape may be risky but the damage it does is worth it.

Annihilape is great against Tera-Types:

  • Rock
  • Ice
  • Ghost
  • Normal
  • Steel
  • Psychic

Annihilape is weak against Tera-Types:

  • Fairy
  • Flying
  • Ghost
  • Dark

Analysis:

Fighting and ghost types are rare and must  need 1 teammate with a Water-type Pokémon to get the best out of Annihilape’s abilities.

An ideal build for Annihilape is to Hyper Train its health, attack, speed, and special attack. The shell bell will try to prevent Annihilape from dying during the Tera raid. Combine moves using Bulk Up first, and then secondly, lead with Cross Chop to gain a critical hit to threaten the Tera targets massive health. Moves like Rage Fist is an alternate move meant to break through the Tera Shield when Annihilape will take lots of damage during that time. These moves are well suited for its IVs because you want to get the most out of Bulk Up to raise Rage Fist's power.

Not many players may select Annihilape because players need to be incredibly precise about combining Bulk Up with Cross Chop or Rage Fist. On top of that, they have to be aggressive and can’t have time to be complacent. Players must anticipate when the Tera Shield comes and when negative conditions can harm them and their teammates. It’s easy to misuse Annihilape because players may get knocked out so often that time runs out and the Tera Raid fails.

To accommodate Annihilape’s weakness, teammates may need to select a Water-type Pokémon with water moves benefiting from Annihilape's Rain Dance.

Use Rain Dance to summon heavy rain to power up your team's Water-Type attacks and lower Fire-Type attacks.

Use Bulk Up to boost Annihilape’s Attack and Defense stats.

Use Cross Chop as Annihilape attacks the target with its forearms crossed. Use this move for critical hits.

Use Rage Fist when Annihilape has been hit by many attacks. The more damage Annihilape endures, this move becomes more powerful.

Advice:

Annihilape is a gem when you need a fighting and ghost Pokémon to cover various difficult types. You play 2 roles by using it.

Your primary role is to be aggressive using Bulk Up and Rage Fist. The shell bell may be useful to gain some health as Annihilape’s health must be accurate. It's most powerful at lower health, such as when it's at 20-30% damage. With hyper-trained speed, there may be few chances that it may dodge critical damage.

Your secondary role while playing Annihilape is to cancel out negative conditions with its move Rain Dance. For instance, if the Tera target is using Sunny Day, cancel Sunny Day with Rain Dance to prevent the Tera target from boosting its Fire-type attack. At the same time, you may help a teammate with a Water-type Pokémon that can lead with a follow-up Water-type attack.

14. Azumarill

Azumarill stats:

Background

  • Water and Fairy type. Water Tera Type.
  • Held item: Expert Belt. It boosts the power of a Pokémon's super-effective moves.
  • Huge Power ability: Doubles the Pokémon's Attack stat
  • Adamant nature. Increases attack and decreases special attack.

Stats

  • 345 HP
  • 200 Defense
  • 198 Sp. Def
  • 169 Attack

Moves

  • Helping Hand
  • Tera Blast
  • Liquidation
  • Light Screen

Let me introduce you to Azumarill. It's one of the most underrated support Pokémon, boasting a balance of HP, Attack, and incredible Defense.

Azumarill is great against Tera-Types:

  • Ground
  • Rock
  • Fire
  • Fighting
  • Dark
  • Dragon

Azumarill is weak against Tera-Types:

  • Electric
  • Grass
  • Poison
  • Steel

Azumarill takes partial damage from:

  • Fire
  • Ice
  • Steel
  • Water

Analysis:

An ideal build for Azumarill is to hyper-train its HP, Attack, Defense, and Sp. Defense to its maximum. The Expert Belt will boost moves such as Liquidation and Tera Blast. Use moves such as Liquidation to lower the target's defense and Tera Blast to break through the target's Tera Shield. The moves you'll activate the most are Helping Hand by boosting your teammates' attacks and Light Screen to reduce damage from special moves. These moves are well suited for its IV's because you'll want to get the most out of its defense and strong HP withstanding lots of damage.

Azumarill is very weak in Attack, so it needs many enhancements, such as an Adamant Nature, a huge power ability, and an expert belt. These items help boost its physical attack power. Azumarill may also lack Speed and Special Attack. Allies must choose a Pokémon with Hyper Trained Speed and Special Attack that can dodge incoming attacks and already leads with a boosted Special Attack power.

Azumarill can learn Bellydrum, a move that deducts half of the user's maximum HP (rounded down) from its current HP. In return, it maximizes the user's Attack stat by raising it to 6 stages. This move is useful in Tera Raids so Azumarill can break the Tera-Type's shield.

Use Helping Hand to increase your Ally’s attack.

Use Tera Blast when Azumarill’s Terastilized. It will unleash energy of its Tera Type. This move inflicts damage using the Attack or Special Attack stat. In this case, Azumarill will use its Attack.

Use Liquidation as Azumarill will slam into the target using a full-force blast of water. This will lower the target’s Defense stat.

Use Light Screen to reduce damage from special moves for 5 turns

Advice:

Use Azumarill to become the main defense leader and chip in for Tera Shield damage when appropriate. Essentially, you want to be a reliable cheerleader, boosting your teammates' attacks and telegraphing the target's attacks with a light screen.

Emphasize physical moves such as Tera Blast and Liquidation to break through Tera Shields and have an Expert Belt and Huge Power ability to perform massive damage with those 2 attacks. Level up your Azumarill to 100 and hyper-train its HP, defense, attack, and special defense.

Watch this video on how Azumarill can learn the move Bellydrum.

13. Vaporeon

Vaporeon Stats:

Background

  • Water type. Water Tera type.
  • Held item: Shell Bell
  • Water Absorb Ability: If it is hit by a Water-type move, it will restore its HP instead of taking damage
  • Gentle nature: increases special defense and decreases defense

  Stats

  • 403 HP
  • 140 Defense
  • 248 Special Defense
  • 168 Attack
  • 257 Special Attack
  • 166 Speed

  Moves

  • Fake Tears
  • Calm Mind
  • Haze
  • Surf

Let me introduce you to Vaporeon. It's one of the best Pokémon to raid with because it has lots of flexibility, powerful Special Attacks, Special Defense, and super-high HP.

Vaporeon is great against Tera-Types:

  • Ground
  • Rock
  • Fire

Vaporeon is weak against Tera-Types:

  • Electric
  • Grass

Vaporeon takes partial damage from:

  • Water
  • Ice
  • Steel
  • Fire

An ideal build for Vaporeon is to hyper-train all its stats at their max. Vaporeon’s health is amazing, boasting 403 HP. The Shell Bell will restore a little HP to itself whenever it inflicts damage with an attack. The Water Absorb Ability will counter Water-Tera type Pokémon because when Vaporeon gets hit by a Water-type move, it will restore its HP instead of taking damage. Calm Mind is its essential-niche move that will increase Special Defense moves like Fake Tears and special attack moves like Surf.

Use moves like Fake Tears and Haze to battle against many changes.

Fake Tears will lower the Tera-targets special defense, in case the Tera-target’s special defense is extremely strong. It may weaken the Tera shield, but not much since it's not an attack.

Haze will reset every stat change among all Pokémon in battle, meaning their stats reset to 0 and remove stat reductions due to burns and paralysis. It lifts effects of focus energy, dire hit, mist, leech seed, disable, reflect, and light screen from all sides of the field.

Use Vaporeon’s Calm Mind and follow up with Surf to be involved with the Tera-shield breaking in case the target weakens against Water-Tera-type moves.

Calm Mind is the best constant move since it will boost Vaporeon's Special Attack and Defense stats. However, don’t use Haze after using Calm Mind because it will eliminate Calm Mind’s effects.

Surf will attack the target with a large wave of water.

You will use Calm Mind in many situations and follow up with Fake Tears. This move set will assist your teammate's Pokémon with higher Attack stats, ensuring all their attacks hit and are critical hits. Vaporeon’s physical attack is the weakest. Other ally Pokémon with strong physical attack stats will help you. Your job is constantly lowering the target’s special defense as much as possible for attack accuracy.

In some situations, you may use Haze first to eliminate negative stat changes and then follow up with Calm Mind. For example, if your entire team gets hit with thunder and is paralyzed, Haze can remove that. Then Calm Mind can quickly boost your Special Defense and Special Attack.

Advice:

When you play Vaporeon, you act as a facilitator, ensuring the entire Tera Raid goes according to plan. Ensure it has its shell bell, as the Water Absorb Ability allows it to double its health recovery per turn.

You play two sides of the coin, mostly as a supporting Pokémon lowering the target's Special Defense and accuracy. You can also chip in to break the Target’s Tera Shield with Calm Mind and Surf. Do this when you know the target's Tera-type is weak against both Water-type and Water-Tera-type special attacks.

12. Chancey

Chancey’s Stats:

 Background

  • Normal Type. Psychic Tera Type.
  • Held Item: Eviolite. It boosts the Defense and Special Defense stats when held by a Pokémon that can still evolve.
  • Natural Cure Ability: The Pokémon’s status conditions are cured when it switches out.
  • Calm Nature: Increased Special Defense stat and decreases Attack stat.

Stats

  • 388 HP
  • 31 Defense
  • 165 Special Defense
  • 52 Special Attack
  • 10 Attack
  • 83 Speed

 Moves

  • Life Dew
  • Skill Swap
  • Sing
  • Healing Wish

Let me introduce you to Chancey. It's one of the hardest Support Pokémon to handle in a Tera Raid, and its core role is Special Defense and healing. It’s a lot of pressure for 1 person to handle, and if done right, no one has to die to win a Tera Raid.

Chancey is great against Tera-Types:

  • Fighting
  • Dark
  • Dragon

Chancey is weak against Tera-Types:

  • Poison
  • Steel

Chancey takes partial damage from:

  • Fighting
  • Bug
  • Dark

Chancey is immune to Dragon-Types when Terastilized as a Fairy-Type.

Chancey is a normal type that can have many great builds. One of its best builds is if it's a Psychic type to counter powerful Poison and Fighting Pokémon and your teammates need someone to assist in health recovery. Hyper-train its health, defense, and special defense.

The Natural Cure ability is intended to be Skill Swapped against raid Pokémon to remove their ability during the Tera Raid. Skill Swap and Sing will be the most important moves to repeat as they will cancel out the target’s ability and make the target go to sleep. The Eviolite will increase Chancey’s Defence and Special Defense because it can still evolve into Blissey.

Use the Life Dew ability to heal yourself and your team. There will be many times you will use this, so max out Life Dew’s PP level.

Use the Healing Wish ability when Chancey and your team are at low HP.

Use Skill Swap immediately in the Tera Raid to eliminate the target's ability. If the target’s ability will come into effect again, activate Skill Swap. This is because Chancey has the Natural Cure ability.

Use Sing to put the target to sleep. This will make the target sleep right away. Usually, Sing will make the target sleep for 1 - 3 turns, and it depends on how accurate it is and how strong your Special Defense stat is. You want to use this move when it is Tera Shield breaking time, and the target’s moves are skipped, allowing your teammates to launch attacks.

Useful advice using it:

When you play Chancey, your core job is to heal the team fast when at low HP. Cancel the target’s ability with Skill Swap when it is in effect. Use Sing to skip the target’s turn, hopefully in 1 - 3 moves.

Healing Wish will become essential, and you should only use it when Chansey gets knocked out. As a result, your team’s HP restores. It will eliminate negative status conditions. This is so helpful when facing Poison and Fighting-Type Pokémon.

For example, you and your team are poisoned by Poison Jab, Sludge Wave, or Thunder Punch, and Chancey will faint soon on the next turn because its HP is red. The team's HP is red too. Use Healing Wish so your team can get back to fighting shape.

11. Altaria

Altaria Stats:

Background

  • Flying and Dragon Type. Fairy Tera-Type.
  • Held item: Shell Bell. It restores health every time Altaria inflicts damage.
  • Alternative Held item: Protective Pads. It will protect Altaria from effects triggered by making direct contact with another Pokémon.
  • Cloud Nine Ability: Eliminates the effects of weather.
  • Sassy Nature: Increased Special Defense, Decreased Speed

Stats

  • 271 HP
  • 197 Defense
  • 245 Special Defense
  • 160 Special Attack
  • 163 Attack
  • 158 Speed

 Moves

  • Moonblast
  • Feather Dance
  • Safeguard
  • Mist

Let me introduce you to Altaria. Its one of the best supporting Pokémon during Tera Raids because it can learn various Special Defense moves. You want Altaria to protect your team from your stats being lowered and prevent negative status conditions from coming toward you. Altaria’s special Cloud Nine ability will eliminate all weather effects.

An ideal build for Altaria is if it's paired with a Fairy-Tera type.

As a Dragon and Flying type, these combinations will make Altaria immune to the following Tera-Type raids:

  • Ground
  • Dragon

Altaria is great agaisnt Tera Types:

  • Ground
  • Dragon
  • Fighting
  • Dark
  • Bug

Altaria is weak to:

  • Poison
  • Steel
  • Electric
  • Ice
  • Rock

Altaria takes less damage from:

  • Fighting
  • Dark
  • Bug

These following types are also weak against Fairy and Flying moves.

An ideal build for Altaria is to Hyper Train all its stats and give it a Sassy nature to opt for higher Special Defense and low Speed. Give it a Shell Bell to heal with an attack. Or give it a Protective Pad to protect Altaria from direct physical attacks. This will help against Fighting and Dark types that know many physical attacks.

Special Defense moves such as Mist and Safeguard are essential as they prevent your team's stats from being lowered and prevent negative status conditions toward you.

Use moves like Feather Dance to cover the target’s body with a mass of down that harshly lowers its Attack stat.

Use moves like Safeguard to create a protective field that prevents status conditions for 5 turns.

Use moves like Mist, as Altaria will cloak itself and your team in Mist. The Mist will prevent your team’s stats from being lowered for 5 turns. You want to do this to protect your allies that have already used moves such as Swords Dance 3 times.

Use moves like Moonblast to lower the target’s special attack stat and break its Tera shield.

Advice:

When you play Altaria, your role is counter-defensive. Protect your stats, and your team's stats at all costs. Use Feather Dance to lower the target’s Attack stat, and your team will lose less health during the Tera Raid.

You’re a partial attacker as Fairy attacks like Moonblast are highly effective against Fighting Dark Pokémon. Allies should help boost your overall moves, such as Helping Hand, to make Moonblast and Feather Dance more effective.

Before attempting Bug raids, teach Altaria Aerial Ace for Feather Dance, as Bugs are weak to Flying moves. Bugs take moderate damage from Fairies, as Dazzling Gleam is an 80/100 move.

10. Venusaur

Venusaur Stats:

Background

  • Grass and Poison Type. Grass Tera Type.
  • Held Item: Shell Bell. Venusaur restores health every time it inflicts damage with an attack.
  • Alternate Held Item: Scope Lens. It scopes out weak points and boosts Venusaur’s critical-hit ratio.
  • Overgrow Ability: Powers up Grass-Type moves when Venusaur’s at low health.
  • Mild Nature: Increased Special Attack, and Decreased Defense

 Stats

  • 282 HP
  • 169 Defense
  • 221 Special Defense
  • 192 Attack
  • 243 Special Attack
  • 181 Speed

 Moves

  • Leech Seed / Acid Spray
  • Growth
  • Sunny Day / Sleep Powder
  • Solar Beam / Razor Leaf

Let me introduce you to Venusaur, an OG favorite among many fans. It’s one of the best Grass-Tera-Type Pokémon to raid with because it can learn many crazy Special Defense and Special Attack builds. Most of all, Venusaur is fun to play with, and you can be more creative with it when it is a Grass-Tera-Type. He has lots of cool Grass moves!

Venusaur is strong against these Tera-Types:

  • Water
  • Electric
  • Fighting
  • Fairy
  • Grass

Venusaur is weak to:

  • Fire
  • Ice
  • Flying
  • Psychic

Venusaur takes partial damage from:

  • Electric
  • Grass
  • Water
  • Ground

An ideal build for Venusaur is to Hyper Train most of its stats besides Defense and do your best to level it to 100. Give it a Mild nature as it will also leave room to increase its Special Attack, Attack, Speed, and Special Defense. The Overgrow ability will power up its moves when its health is low. Give it a Shell Bell to restore Venusaur’s health whenever it inflicts damage with an attack.

Use moves like Acid Spray to melt the target in acid, as it will lower their special defense stat.

Use moves like Growth to boost Venusaru’s Attack and Special Attack Stats.

Use moves like Sunny Day to bring out the sun for 5 turns, powering up Fire-Type attacks and Venusaur’s Solar Beam. It will lower Water-Type attacks.

Use moves like Solar Beam to gather light on the first turn and blast a light beam toward the target on the next.

Advice:

When you play as Venusaur, your job is to lower the target’s special defense and attack with special attacks. One downside is that there are lots of turns.

In the first 3 turns, use Acide Spray to lower the target’s defense and build Tera Orb charge.

4’th, use Sunny Day.

Your 5’th, 6’th, and 7’th turn should use Growth to prepare for Solar Beam.

The final moves is to use Solar Beam and knock out the target.

There are other Venusaur builds.

One of the 2’nd best builds is this moveset:

Give Venusaur the Scope Lens. It will allow it to get larger critical hits.

Learn moves:

  • Leech Seed
  • Sleep Powder
  • Growth
  • Solar Beam or Razor Leaf

The idea here is that you want to keep restoring health and attacking the target when the target is sleeping and cannot use any moves against you and your team.

Use Leech Seed to steal health from the target and heal a little bit every turn.

Use Sleep Powder to make the target sleep instantly.

Use Growth to increase Special Attack and Attack stats.

The main goal is to use growth 3 times and then make the target fall asleep after.

Use Solar Beam to attack the target while it doesn’t attack you during that time.

Or you can use Razor Leaf to use the Scope Lens ability, as Razor Leaf will try to aim for a critical hit ratio.

9. Metagross

Metagross Stats:

Background

  • Steel and Psychic Type. Steel Tera Type.
  • Held item: Razor Claw. It boosts the critical-hit ratio of the holder’s moves.
  • Clear Body Ability: Prevents other Pokémon’s moves or abilities from lowering the Pokémon’s stats
  • Adamant Nature: Increases attack and decreases special attack.

 Stats

  • 269 HP
  • 263 Defense
  • 187 Special Defense
  • 299 Attack
  • 202 Special Attack
  • 156 Speed

 Moves

  • Psychic Fangs
  • Meteor Mash
  • Hone Claws
  • Hammer Arm

Let me introduce you to Metagross. Its one of the best Steel-Type Pokémon to raid with because it has a variety of vigorous attacks and moderate HP.

Metagross is great against Tera-Types:

  • Poison
  • Fairy
  • Ice
  • Rock
  • Fighting

Metagross is weak against Tera-Types:

  • Fire
  • Ground
  • Fighting (if a Tera target has a Fire-Type background)
  • Bug
  • Dark
  • Ghost

An ideal build for Metagross is if you Hyper Train its HP, Attack, Defense, and Speed. Metagross’s HP is average, as a Tera Raid attacker, and can withstand many types when it is a Steel Tera type.

Metagross takes partial damage against:

  • Normal
  • Ice
  • Rock
  • Grass
  • Flying
  • Dragon
  • Steel
  • Fairy
  • Psychic

It’s immune to Poison-Types. Metagross will be a heavy-hitting attacker as the Razor Claw will boost Critical Hits, and the Clear Body ability will protect it from having its stats lowered from the target.

Use moves like Hone Claws to sharpen Metagross’ claws to boost its Attack stat and accuracy. Follow up with moves such as Meteor Mash, Hammer Arm, or Psychic Fangs.

Use Meteor Mash to hit the target with a hard punch like Meteor while still boosting the user's Attack stat.

After using Hone Claws, activate moves like Hammer Arm to inflict 100 damage toward the target’s Tera Shield. Unfortunately, this move will lower Metagross’s Speed stat.

After using Hone Claws, use Psychic Fangs to break the target’s Light Screen and Reflect barriers.

Useful advice using it:

When playing Metagross, your job is attacking while increasing your Attack boost. When breaking the Tera-Shield, use Hammer Arm plenty of times to increase a Critical Hit.

Meteor Mash will be your main attack because it will boost its attack stat through the attack instead of waiting for the next turn.

Use Psychic Fangs against the target's defensive moves. Depending on how well the Tera Raid goes, your teammates may assist in healing you or provide Special Defense moves or Special Attack moves since Metagross is weak in those fields.

Hammer Arm may decrease Metagross’ Speed harshly. When its Speed is Hyper Trained, there may be a small chance that Metagross will dodge an incoming attack.

8. Scizor

Scizor stats:

Background

  • Bug and Steel Type. Bug Tera Type.
  • Held Item: Scope Lens. It scopes out weak points and boosts Scizor’s critical-hit ratio.
  • Adamant Nature: Increased Attack, Decreased Special Attack
  • Swarm Ability: Powers Up Bug-Type moves when the Pokémon has low health.

Stats

  • 233 HP
  • 193 Defense
  • 160 Special Defense
  • 280 Attack
  • 96 Special Attack
  • 137 Speed

 Moves

  • Swords Dance
  • Fury Cutter
  • X-Scissor / Iron Head / Lunge / Slash
  • Focus energy

Let me introduce you to Scizor. Its one of the best Bug-Tera-Type Pokémon to raid with because Scizor is a pure Critical-Hit attacker.

Scizor is great against Tera-Types:

  • Fighting
  • Ground
  • Grass
  • Dark
  • Psychic
  • Fairy
  • Ice

Scizor is weak against:

  • Fire
  • Ground
  • Rock
  • Flying

Scizor is an interesting Pokémon. It can try to counter Rock-Tera-Types with Steel Moves, though it may take partial damage from them.

Scizor takes partial damage from:

  • Ground
  • Grass
  • Fighting

An ideal build for Scizor is to Hyper Train its HP, Attack, Defense, and Special Defense. Don’t Hyper Train its Special Attack. Level it up to 100 as fast as possible. Give it an adamant nature since Scizor can learn plenty of physical Attacks.

The Swarm Ability will increase moves like X-Scissor and Fury Cutter when Scizor is at low HP.

The Scope Lens will boost moves like Focus Blast and Fury Cutter, as Focus Blast will increase the precision and power of Fury Cutter.

Use moves like X-Scissor to attack the target with scythes.

Use moves like Fury Cutter to attack the target with scythes. It may become more powerful if it hits in succession. The repeated move can build a critical hit combo.

Use moves like Swords Dance to increase Scizor’s Attack stat sharply.

Use moves like Focus Energy to let Scizor focus on its future attacks that may have a heightened chance of landing critical hits.

Advice:

When you play as Scizor, your job is to become a precise, heavy physical attacker. Mastering Scizor is incredibly difficult, as there is a lot of setup.

When entering the raid, Use Swords Dance about 3 times to sharply increase Attack stats.

In the 4’th turn, use Focus Energy to boost a critical hit rate.

In the 5th turn, use Fury Cutter to defeat the target’s Tera Shield and or knock it out successfully in one hit.

Alternatively, you can use X-Scissor at the start of the raid to build up a Tera-Orb charge and Terastilize quickly.

Scizor has other builds too:

Forget X-Scissor for Iron Head to counter Fairy, Ice, and Rock Tera-Types. Iron Head is a 80 Power 100 Accuracy move attacking with a steel-hard head.

Forget the X-Scissor for Lunge to swap for an additional move to lower the target’s attack stat. This may be useful as your team won’t take so much damage.

Forget X-Scissor for Slash. Slash's base power is 70 Power 100 Accuracy and acts the same way as Fury Cutter.  Slash is when Scizor attacks with its scythes and will increase its chance of landing a critical hit regardless of type.

7. Haunter

Haunter Stats:

Background

  • Ghost and Poison Type. Poison Tera Type.
  • Max Friendship is recommended.
  • Held Item: Poisin Barb. It boosts Haunter’s Poison-Type attacks.
  • Modest Nature: Increased Special Attack, decreased Attack
  • Levitate Ability: Immune to Ground-type moves.

 Stats

  • 242 HP
  • 147 Defense
  • 171 Special Defense
  • 131 Attack
  • 310 Special Attack
  • 233 Speed

 Moves

  • Nasty Plot
  • Hex
  • Acid Spray
  • Sludge Bomb

Let me introduce you to Haunter. It's a powerful Ghost and Poison-Type Pokémon with a Poison-Tera Type. It may be weak to most common types.

  • Haunter is strong against these Tera-Types:
  • Ghost
  • Psychic
  • Dark
  • Fairy
  • Grass

If any of those Tera-Types happen to have a Ground-Type move, Haunter would be immune to it because of its Levitate Ability.

Haunter is weak against Tera-Types:

  • Ghost
  • Dark
  • Ground
  • Psychic

Haunter takes partial damage from:

  • Fairy
  • Fighting
  • Bug
  • Grass
  • Poison

An ideal build for Haunter is to Hyper Train its HP, Special Attack, Special Defense, and Defense. Give it a Modest nature to boost its Special Attack. Give it a Poison Barb to boost Poison-Type moves. Give it the Levitate ability, as it will become immune to all Ground-type moves.

Essential Moves to keep are Acid Spray and Sludge Bomb, which poison the target and give it a status condition to make the Tera Raid more efficient.

Use moves like Nasty Plot to boost Haunter’s Special Attack Stat. This will improve the moves of Hex, Acid Spray, and Sludge Bomb.

Use Acid Spray to lower the target’s special defense stat, especially when the target is a Fairy or Grass Type.

Use Sludge Bomb to poison the target with a large 90/100 power. This is Haunter’s biggest special attack during Tera Raids.

Use Hex to do massive damage to the target affected by status conditions.

Advice:

When you play as Haunter your job is to try to worsen the target through status conditions as much as possible to make the Tera Raid efficient and fast.

Nasty Plot will boost Haunter’s Special Attacks and poison Fairy and Grass types more effectively.

Hex is versatile in case Haunter didn’t successfully poison the target. You want to use Hex when your allies may try to burn, paralyze, or freeze the target. You want this move as a good backup plan.

You can telegraph your ally's moves and wait as you continue to use Nasty Plot. Use Hex to break the Tera shield until a status condition is in effect.

6. Miraidon

Miraidon Stats:

Background

  • Electric and Dragon Type. Electric Tera Type.
  • Max friendship recommended.
  • Held item: Life Orb. Boosts Miraidon’s moves but loses a small amount of HP when each attack lands.
  • Alternate Held Item: Wise Glasses. Boosts the power of Miraidon’s Special Moves.
  • Hardon Engine Ability: Miraidon turns the ground into an Electric Terrain, which boosts its special attack stat.
  • Mild Nature: Increased Special Attack, Decreased Defense

Stats

  • 252 HP
  • 154 Defense
  • 247 Special Defense
  • 156 Attack
  • 247 Special Attack
  • 225 Speed

 Moves

  • Charge
  • Electro Drift
  • Metal Sound
  • Parabolic Charge / Mirror Coat / Dragon Pulse

If you have Pokémon Violet, Miraidon is your legendary Pokémon when you start your journey. Miraidon is one of the best Electric-Type Pokémon to raid with because of its unique Hardon Engine Ability. This makes the battlefield an Electric Terrain powering up its special attack stat. When you finish the game, Miraidon can join your battle party.

Miraidon is strong against the following Tera-Types:

  • Water
  • Flying
  • Dragon (if the target has a Water or Flying background)

Miraidon is weak against:

  • Ground
  • Dragon
  • Fairy
  • Ice

Miraidon takes partial damage from:

  • Steel
  • Electric
  • Flying

An ideal build for Miraidon is to level it up 100 as fast as possible and hyper-train all its stats. Give it a Mild nature as its special attack will grow. Give it a Life Orb to boost Miraidon’s overall moves. It will cost Miraidon’s HP for each attack it lands. An alternate held item to use is the Wise Glasses, which boosts Miraidon’s Special Moves.

Miraidon will become incredibly strong with its Hardon Engine Ability and Wise Glasses because it will double its Special Attack stat. Moves like Electric Drift will be a key move to use when knocking out the target.

Use moves like Charge to boost its Electric-Type moves and Special Defense stat.

Use moves like Metal Sound to lower the target’s Special Defense Stat harshly.

Use moves like Parabolic Charge as Miraidon attacks everything around it. Miraidon’s HP is restored by half the damage taken by those hit.

Use moves like Electric Drift to pierce the target with futuristic electricity. If it's a super-effective hit, this move will become more powerful.

Advice:

When you play as Miraidon, you aim to be a useful Electric-type special attacker. Miraion’s Hardon Engine will automatically use Electric Terrain when entering the battle, and the Wise Glasses will double all of its Special Attacks.

The order is to first use Metal Sound for the first 2 rounds by lowering the target’s defense.

3’rd, use Charge.

Then, your final move should use Electric Drift to finish the Tera Raid.

Miraidon has other useful builds.

It can learn Mirror Coat, and Dragon Pulse.

Replace Parabolic charge for Dragon Pulse when facing Dragon-Tera-Types and if the Dragon has a Water-Type background.

Replace Parabolic Charge for Mirror Coat when facing Water-Tera-Types, because most Water-Types have more special attacks than physical attacks. Mirror Coat will counter any special move inflicting the damage taken.

Flying-Tera-Types proportionally have fewer special attack moves than Water-types. They can still be unpredictable and use other types of special moves. Still, Mirror Coat has a 50/50 chance of countering their attacks.

5. Charizard

Charizard Stats:

Background

  • Fire and Flying Type. Dragon Tera Type. Mightiest Mark.
  • Held item: Shell Bell. Restore health every time Charizard attacks.
  • Solar Power Ability: In harsh Sunlight, Charizard’s Special Attack is boosted, but health decreases every turn.
  • Modest Nature: Increased Special Attack, Decreased Attack

Stats

  • 298 HP
  • 192 Defense
  • 206 Special Defense
  • 184 Attack
  • 279 Special Attack
  • 237 Speed

Moves

  • Sunny Day
  • Flamethrower / Heat Wave
  • Dragon Breath / Air Cutter
  • Solar Beam / Dragon Pulse

Let me introduce you to the Mightiest Mark Charizard. The Mightiest Mark Charizard is from the March 13 - 17, 2024 7-Star Raid Event. It may happen again in the future.

Charizard is the best Dragon-Tera Type to raid with because the Tera Type cancels out Charizard’s Fire and Flying weaknesses.

Charizard is strong against the following Tera-Types:

  • Dragon
  • Ice
  • Steel
  • Water
  • Rock
  • Ground

Charizard is weak against the following Tera-Types:

  • Dragon (if a Tera target has a Fairy-Type background)
  • Fairy

Charizard’s takes partial damage from:

  • Fire
  • Water
  • Grass
  • Electric

If you’ve already caught the Mightiest Mark Charizard, don’t change its stats, abilities, and Tera-Type. The Modest Nature will continue to increase its Special Attacks. All you have to do is tweak its moves depending on the Tera Raid you’ll attempt, then give it a Shell Bell.

Solar Power will become effective when Charizard uses Sunny Day to boost all its Special Attacks. However, this ability depletes its HP. The Shell Bell effectively regains health as Charizard’s main moves are attacks.

Use Sunny Day to power up Fire-Type moves such as Flamethrower.

Use Flamethrower to burst a blast of fire, which may leave the target with a burn.

Use Dragon Breath to inflict critical damage and to leave the target with paralysis.

Use Solar Beam to gather light on the first turn and blast a bundled beam on the next turn.

Advice:

When playing as Charizard, your role is to be an aggressive special attacker who continues to attack the target, depending on its type.

Your first move should activate Sunny Day to power up all Fire types in your team including yourself. It will also lower the power of Water Type attacks when you’re in a Water-Tera Type raid.

Aim to use many successful moves to Terastallize into the Dragon-Type to survive the Tera Raid. These moves depend on the type.

For Ground, Rock, and Water-Type Tera Raids:

Use a successful Dragon Breath after Sunny Day to activate the Tera Orb. Terastallize into the Dragon-Type and use Solar Beam to effectively destroy the target’s Tera Shield. Keep moves:

Sunny Day

Flamethrower

Dragon Breath

Solar Beam

For Dragon-Tera Raids:

Dragon-Tera Raids are super-easy for Charizard, however Dragon-Type moves are effective from each other. Charizard should relearn moves such as:

  • Dragon Pulse
  • Air Cutter
  • Sunny Day
  • Flamethrower

Moves like Air Cutter are useful to increase critical hits and build Tera Orb Charge so Charizard can Terastilize as a Dragon type and break the target’s shield with Dragon Pulse.

If the Dragon Tera-type happens to be a Bug, Fighting, or Grass Type, continue to use Air Cutter or boost Flamethrower with Sunny Day to break their shields.

For Ice and Steel Raids:

Prioritize Fire-Type moves. You’ll want this moveset:

  • Sunny Day
  • Flamethrower
  • Heat Wave
  • Dragon Breath

Use Sunny Day to power up Flamethrower and Heat Wave to break their Tera-Shields. If the target also has a Dragon-Type background, Dragon Breath can be used to build Tera Orb charge and inflict damage with a paralyze status condition.

4. Gardevoir

Gardevoir stats:

Background

  • Fairy and Psychic Type. Fairy Tera Type.
  • Max Friendship recommended.
  • Held Item: Light Clay. Light Screen and Reflect effects will last longer than usual.
  • Alternate Held Item: Metronome. Boosts Gardevoir’s power of a move that’s used repeatedly. Once the chain is broken, the power returns to normal.
  • Synchronize Ability: When Gardevoir is burned, paralyzed, or poisoned, the target will have the same status conditions Gardevoir has.
  • Calm Nature: Increased Special Defense, decreased Attack

 Stats

  • 285 HP
  • 170 Defense
  • 299 Special Defense
  • 138 Attack
  • 294 Special Attack
  • 200 Speed

 Moves

  • Life Dew
  • Light Screen
  • Reflect
  • Draining Kiss / or Helping Hand

Let me introduce you to Gardevoir. Its the best supporting Pokémon in Scarlet and Violet because of its strong special defense moves it can learn. As a Fairy-Tera-Type, it’s immune to Dragon types.

Unlike most supporting Pokémon, Gardevoir has much room for creativity when crafting your Special Defense. It has many Special Defense moves such as Confuse Ray, Wish, Hypnosis, Confusion, Charm, and Healing Wish.

Gardevoir is strong against the following Tera-Types:

  • Fighting
  • Dark
  • Dragon
  • Poison

Gardevoir is weak to:

  • Poison
  • Steel

Gardevoir takes partial damage from:

  • Fighting
  • Bug
  • Dark

Gardevoir takes minimal damage to Bug and can counter them using Mystic Fire.

An ideal build for Gardevoir is to hyper-train most of its stats but don’t hyper-train its Attack. Level it to 100 and increase your friendship with it as much as possible so it can dodge incoming attacks of all kinds. Give it a Calm nature for increased Special Defense and decreased Attack. This will make Reflect and Light Screen more effective.

The Synchronize Ability counters the target using moves like Fire Punch, Thunder Punch, or Poison Jab. As Gardevoir is burned, paralyzed, or poisoned, the target will also have those conditions.

The Light Clay will increase the longevity of Light Screen and Reflect throughout a Tera Raid. They may stay in effect for 7 turns!

Moves that should stay permanent are Life Dew, Reflect, and Light Screen so Gardevoir can heal your team and protect or reduce incoming damage.

Use Life Dew to scatter mysterious water and restore Gardevoir’s HP, including the rest of your team. This move will be a lifesaver.

Use Light Screen to reduce damage from special moves for 5 turns. Don’t use Reflect when Light Screen is in effect.

Use Reflect to reduce damage from physical moves for 5 turns. Don’t use Light Screen when Reflect is in effect.

Use Draining Kiss to attack the target by stealing some HP for Gardevoir.

Advice:

When playing as Gardevoir, your job is to heal your team and reduce incoming damage. It’s also important to heal yourself and have 1 attack to make its Fairy-Tera Type effective throughout the Tera Raid. It may also save time, since Fairy attacks are strong against Dark and Dragon Types.

This is Gardevoir’s best moves:

  • Life Dew
  • Light Screen
  • Reflect
  • Draining Kiss

Gardevoir can be a full supporting Pokémon. Use Helping Hand instead of Draining Kiss to increase all your allies' attacks.

  • Life Dew
  • Light Screen
  • Reflect
  • Helping Hand

Alternatively, you can keep Helping Hand and replace one of Gardevoir’s protective moves for Draining Kiss. As an example, keep these moves when facing Pokémon like Lucario with a Dragon-Tera-Type:

  • Life Dew
  • Draining Kiss
  • Reflect
  • Helping Hand

3. Skeledirge

Skeledirge’s stats:

Background

  • Fire and Ghost Type. Fire Tera Type.
  • Max Friendship recommended, as a Starter Pokémon
  • Held Item: Throat Spray. Sound Based moves will boost its Special Attack Stat.
  • Blaze Ability: Powers Up Fire-Type moves when HP is low.
  • Naive Nature: Increased Speed, Decreased Special Defense

Stats

  • 364 HP
  • 250 Defense
  • 178 Special Defense
  • 219 Attack
  • 280 Special Attack
  • 214 Speed

 Moves

  • Torch Song
  • Hyper Voice
  • Flamethrower
  • Rest

Let me introduce you to Skeledirge. Its one of the best Fire-Type Special Attacking Pokémon to Tera Raid with because it boasts high Special Attack, HP, and Speed stats. Skelridge will grow much stronger if you choose Fuecoco as your starter and build a max friendship with it.

Skeledirge is strong against the following Tera-Types:

  • Bug
  • Grass
  • Ice
  • Steel
  • Ghost
  • Psychic

Skeledirge is weak to:

  • Ground
  • Rock
  • Water
  • Dark
  • Ghost

Skeledirge takes partial damage from:

  • Bug
  • Steel
  • Fire
  • Grass
  • Ice
  • Fairy

An ideal build for Skeledirge is to hyper-train all its stats. Level it to 100 along your journey to become Champion. With increased friendship, you can take advantage of its Speed, as you may get battle messages that “Skeledirge avoided the attack in your shout.” Keep its Naive nature. Skeledirge must dodge critical hits by keeping the flow of attacks going.

Skelridge is a special Fire and Ghost Type Pokémon that can learn Sound-Based moves. Increase the moves of Torch Song and Hyper Voice by giving it a Throat Spray. Use its Fire-Tera type to fight against Bug, Steel, Grass, and Ice Tera-type Pokémon. Unless facing Sound-proof Pokémon, the move Hyper Voice affects all types and breaks through Substitute.

Its Blaze ability will power up Fire-type moves when its HP is low and use Torch Song and Flamethrower to attack the target fast and defeat it.

Use moves like Torch Song to attack the target with a boost and boost Skelridge’s Special Attack stat. It will increase both Hyper Voice and Flamethrower.

Use moves like Flamethrower when Skelridge is in Fire-tera form to break the target’s Tera-Shield and drastically deplete the target’s health.

Use Hyper Voice as an alternate Special Attack throughout the Tera-Raid. Preferably, use Torch Song beforehand to double Hyper Voice’s power.

Use Rest when Skelridge’s HP is super-low, and it’s about to get knocked out 2 moves later, in case no one is helping to heal you.

Advice:

When Playing Skeledirge, your main job is to keep attacking with Special Attacks without getting completely knocked out. Having a long history with it as a Fuecoco will become essential, as it may dodge incoming attacks for you.

At low health you should use Torch Song and Flamethrower to break its Tera-shield while in Tera-Fire form. When it is necessary, use Rest if players have Pokémon that can’t heal you, such as Life Dew. Losing Skeledirge during a Tera Raid can cost a lot of time.

If any of your teammates are using moves such as Helping Hand, it will increase all of Skelridge’s Special Attacks even more when equipped with the Blaze Ability and holding the Throat Spray.

2. Garchomp

Garchomp Stats:

Background

  • Dragon and Ground Type. Ground Tera Type.
  • Max friendship recommended.
  • Held Item: Muscle Band. Slightly boosts the power of Garchomp’s physical moves.
  •  Rough Skin Ability: Garchomp’s rough skin damages attackers that make direct contact with it.
  • Lonely Nature: Increased Attack, Decreased Defense

Stats

  • 364 HP
  • 222 Defense
  • 210 Special Defense
  • 367 Attack
  • 219 Special Attack
  • 252 Speed

Moves

  • Dragon Claw
  • Earthquake
  • Iron Head
  • Swords Dance

Let me introduce you to Garchomp. Garchomp is one of the best Dragon-Type Pokémon and a Ground-Type, eliminating its weakness to Dragon and Fairy-Type Pokémon. Build max friendship with it to continue attacking for you and dodge incoming attacks.

It’s #2 on this list because most Types are weak against Ground-Type moves, and Earthquake is an overpowered move to try to break a Tera-Shield efficiently. However, the rest of your team needs immunity against Earthquake. Garchomp has great coverage to attack most types.

Garchomp is strong against the following Tera Types:

  • Dragon
  • Fairy
  • Fire
  • Poison
  • Electric
  • Rock
  • Steel

Garchomp is weak against the following Tera Types:

  • Ice
  • Water
  • Grass

Garchomp takes partial damage from:

  • Poison
  • Rock

Garchomp is immune to Electric-Types, because it is is Ground-Type.

An ideal build for Garchomp is to train it through power items and hyper-train all its stats. Level it up to 100 as much as possible. A lonely nature is preferred as it will increase physical Attack while leaving room for a Special Attack if desired. You want high-speed and max friendship so it can keep its attacks flowing during the Tera Raid.

The muscle band will increase the moves of Dragon Claw, Earthquake, and Iron Head as physical Attacks. Garchomp’s rough skin ability is great against other Pokémon that use physical attacks.

Use moves like Swords Dance to increase the physical attacks of Dragon Claw, Earthquake, and Iron Head.

Use Dragon Claw against Dragon-Tera Types, as it will inflict damage with its sharp claws. It’s possible to get critical hits with this move when using Swords Dance 2 or 3 times beforehand to break a Dragon-Tera Type Shield.

Use Iron Head against Fairy-Tera Types, as it will inflict damage with its steel-hard head. It may make the target flinch. It’s possible to get critical hits with this move when using Swords Dance 2 or 3 times beforehand to break a Fairy-Tera Type Shield.

Use Earthquake to strike every Pokémon around it, including the target. This move is most effective against Fire, Electric, Poison, Steel, and Rock. However, this may affect your team if they aren't immune to Ground-Type moves.

Advice:

Garchomp’s type is hard to penetrate when it’s a Ground-Type because it’s no longer weak against Dragon and Fairy-Types, but it also takes 0 damage from electric moves.

Poison and Rock moves are ineffective against Garchomp. Give it the Rough Skin ability when Tera Pokémon may use physical attacks against it.

Garchomp’s role during the Tera Raid is to keep attacking and not interrupt it when it’s attacking. The strategy is to use Swords Dance 2 or 3 times and then use either Dragon Claw, Earthquake, or Iron Head.

Garchomp can face many Tera Raids as a Ground-Tera type, and you want to join Dragon, Fairy, Electric, Poison, Fire, Rock, and Steel Tera Raids.

If you swap any moves, Garchomp can learn Liquidation, a Special Attack move that can counter Ground-Type Pokémon against it. Garchomp may want to follow up with Bulldoze to lower the Tera-Ground-Type’s Speed. If an ally uses Rain Dance, Liquidation becomes stronger.

Another great move Garchomp can learn is Sleep Talk when facing Fairy-Tera Types. Use this move when the Fairy-Tera Type puts Garchomp to sleep. Sleep Talk should activate the following moves, such as Swords Dance, Poison Jab, and Iron Head, to counter the Fairy-Tera Type.

1. Lucario

Lucarios Stats:

Background

  • Fighting and Steel Type. Ice Tera Type.
  • Max Friendship recommended.
  • Held Item: Shell Bell. It restores a little HP every time it inflicts damage with an attack.
  • Inner Focus Ability: Lucario’s intense focus prevents it from flinching or being affected by Intimidate.
  • Naughty Nature: Increased Attack, Decreased Special Defense

Stats

  • 289 HP
  • 195 Defense
  • 171 Special Defense
  • 330 Attack
  • 282 Special Attack
  • 240 Speed

Moves

  • Ice Punch
  • Meteor Mash
  • Drain Punch
  • Swords Dance / blank spot of your choice

Beloved by many fans, Lucario is a formidable Fighting-and-Steel-Type Pokémon. In Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, he has many strong Tera-type builds, such as a Physical Fighting Type, Special Fighting Type, Psychic type, Steel Type, and Ice type.

Lucario is a special Pokémon who doesn’t necessarily need to Terrastilize to win the Tera raid. By giving him an Ice-Tera type, he’ll have more Type coverage.

Lucario is strong against the following Tera Types:

  • Normal
  • Ice
  • Rock
  • Dark
  • Steel

1 Ice move can change everything, while Lucario can also be strong against:

  • Grass
  • Ground
  • Flying
  • Dragon

 Lucario’s main weaknesses are:

  • Fire
  • Psychic
  • Fairy
  • Fighting (if a Tera target has a Fire-Type background)
  • Ground

Lucario takes partial damage from:

  • Ice
  • Normal
  • Dark
  • Dragon
  • Flying
  • Grass
  • Ground
  • Steel

Lucario’s #1 on the list because he’s an easy Pokémon to raid with, and you have lots of creativity when coming up with your custom build when he has a Naughty nature and the Inner Focus Ability. His type of coverage is one of the best if you’re crafting him correctly.

An ideal build for Lucario is to increase all its base points throughout the story (or use Power items during all battles) and Hyper Train all its stats.

Give it a Naughty nature to decide whether to build a physical or Special Attacking Lucario. With increased friendship and high Speed stats, Lucario may avoid attacks coming toward him and ensure all his attacks flow without interruption.

Use strong moves such as Drain Punch to recover health through an attack.

Charge Tera type quickly through Swords Dance while still raising its Attack. You want to keep these moves permanent in his build.

Use moves like Meteor Mash to attack the Target and increase Attack.

Use moves like Ice Punch to freeze the target.

Advice:

Lucario has 2 types of flexible movesets as a Fighting/Steel Type with an Ice Tera Type.

1’st best moveset: (Against Dragon)

Use moves like Swords Dance and Drain Punch because Swords Dance will raise Lucario’s physical attacks.

Drain Punch will gain back some health through attacking.

Use moves like Meteor Mash to fire punches like a meteor and boost Lucario’s Attack stat.

Use moves like Ice Punch to leave the Target frozen if able to. Terastalize as an Ice-Type to break the Dragon-Tera-Type Shield.

Ice Punch is an alternate attack move for Drain Punch when using Drain Punch only when necessary.

2’nd best moveset:  (Against other Fighting-Types)

The idea here is that Lucario will face Tera Pokémon similar to his type but with a different Tera type.

Keep moves Drain Punch, Swords Dance, and Ice Punch.

Adapt the 4’th move of your choice that the target is weak to, which can be anything.

As an example, use Lucario against a Medicham with a Ground-Tera type.

Use moves like Ice Punch and Water Pulse to penetrate Medicham’s Ground-Tera Type and break its shield using those 2 specific moves.

Or use moves like Shadow Claw or Shadow Ball as secondary attacks to lower Medicahm’s special defense or gain critical hits.

Drain Punch may be ineffective, but it will regain health, as Fighting Pokémon are weak to their type.

Swords Dance will increase Ice Punch and Water Pulse.

3'rd best moveset: (Flying, Grass, and Dark)

Keep moves of Ice Punch, Drain Punch, and Swords Dance.

Let Lucario learn Reversal.

Focus on increasing Swords Dance and allow Lucario to take partial damage.

Get a few Ice Punch moves to build Tera orb charge, and if successful, Terastalize and use Ice Punch to break the Tera Shield.

If unsuccessful to Terastilize early, and Swords Dance is maxed out to 6 stages, cheer for your allies to boost Attack, HP, or Defense.

You want to wait until Lucario's HP is red to make Reversal more successful and contribute to breaking the Tera shield.

Thanks for reading, and Metagross wishes you good luck on your future Tera Raid endeavors!
