Gyrados as a Water Tera Type against Glimmora

Tips:

1.Level up your Pokémon a lot, to at least 80. Level 100 is even better.

Get some Exp Candy through Tera Raids!

When you’re at the point facing the Elite 4, don’t just jump right in. Leveling up Pokémon should be a piece of cake now.

Advice best method:

While there are many ways to get Exp Candy to level up your Pokémon, do more Tera Raids to get more Exp Ponts. After completing them, choose the Pokémon of your choice.

Click on this source to find the Exp Candy drop sandwiches!

The Elite 4’s main weaknesses are Ground, Dragon, Fairy, Grass, Steel, and Fighting.

Build some Exp Candy from those Tera Den Types.

2. Gets lots of healing items, just in case.

Image

Player is dead inside from being demolished on the first try.

When you defeat all the gyms, most healing items should be available at any Poké Center if you interact with the Poké Mart.

Advice:

Buy a lot of them! Making money should be easy after defeating all the Gyms, only if you’ve saved up a lot.

Achieve about or more than 50,000 money. Alternatively, save up to 100,100 LP.

Find many things on the ground and sell items such as Bamboo Shoots, Nuggets, Mushrooms, and Stardust. Star pieces and Big Pearls are worth a lot. Star Pieces are $6,000, while Big Pearl’s are $4,000.

Buy Max Potions, Full Restores, and Revives. Those are the most essential.

Max Revives are even better, saving the unnecessary 2’nd move to heal your Pokémon during battle.

In Chancey Supply stores, the most useful healing items are Heal Powder and Revival Herbs.

Heal Powder heals all status problems for a Pokémon, but decreases its Friendship levels.

Revival Herb revives a fainted Pokémon, fully restoring its HP, but decreases its Friendship levels.

3. Have Garchomp on your team and get a Muscle Band

Image
image
Garchomp’s ready to bite the competition!

The Muscle Band is a battle item held by a Pokémon. It boosts the power of the holder's physical moves.

Advice:

The Elite 4 is mostly weak to Ground-Types, but only after you defeat Rika.

Garchomp is an excellent choice as a Ground and Dragon-Type. The Elite 4 struggles against a high-level Garchomp, so having a Level 80 Garchomp can speedrun the 2'nd half of the Elite 4 battles. But you have to use it correctly.

A muscle band will increase Garchomp's physical attacks, such as Earthquake, which is its merciless move.

Use Earthquake against Poppy's Magnezone.

Use Stone Edge, Liquidation, and Dragon Claw against most of Larry's Pokémon.

Use Earthquake or Dragon Claw against Hassel's Flapple and Baxcalibur.

Earthquake does 100 accurate damage.

Dragon Claw does 80 accurate damage. Use this against Larry's Altaria.

Stone Edge does 100 damage with 80 Accuracy and has an increased critical hit ratio.

Prioritize this move on all Larry's Pokémon.

Liquidation does 85 accurate damage and has a 20% chance of lowering the opponent's Defense stats. Use this against Larry's Oricorio.

When you face Geeta, use Earthquake against Geeta's Glimmora. You want Garchomp to KO Glimmora.

4. Get a Shell Bell for Gardevoir

Image
image
Gardevoir must have a Calm Mind before battle.

A Shell Bell is a battle item held by a Pokémon. The holder's HP is restored a little every time it inflicts damage.

Advice:

This cute Shell Bell works with any Pokémon of your choice, so it makes it the most flexible battle item for aggressive Pokémon who rely on either physical Attacks or Special Attacks.

When it comes to the Elite 4, Gardevoir is a great example. Gardevoir boasts 125 Special Attack and 115 Special Defense.

Use Gardevoir specifically against Hassel's Pokémon. All his Pokémon are Dragon-Types. Gardevoir, as a Fairy-Type, is immune to all Dragon-Type moves.

Be cautious. Hassle doesn't just use Dragon-Type moves, while his dragons can use Flying, Grass, Poison, and Ice-Type moves.

The Shell Bell pairs excellently with Gardevoir's Draining Kiss and Moonblast.

Since Draining Kiss attacks with 50% accurate damage and also heals Gardevoir, the Shell Bell enhances Gardevoir's HP using Draining Kiss.

Moonblast deals 95 accurate damage and has a 30% chance of lowering the target's Special Attack by one stage.

When facing Hassel as the last Elite 4 member, don't switch out your Gardevoir. Maintain the first move and end strong by Terastalizing your high-level Gardevoir early.

5. Get Charcoal for Camerupt and Skeledirge

Image
image
Camerupt is getting ready to erupt in battle!

Charcoal is a battle item held by a Pokémon. It increases the power of Fire-Type moves by 20%. It's ideal for a Fire-Type Pokémon to hold it.

Camerupt Advice:

Camerupt is a Fire and Ground-Type Pokémon so that Charcoal can increase its Fire-Type moves.

Camerupt is most useful against Poppy's Pokémon since her Pokémon are hybrid Steel-Types. Steel is inferior to Ground-Types, so Camerupt has the best defense against them.

Use most of Camerupt's Fire-Type moves against all of her Pokémon. Your Camerupt should be at a higher level regardless. KO her Pokémon with moves such as Eruption and Fire Blast.

Eruption inflicts more damage when the user's HP is higher. At full HP, Camerupt can create 150 damage, which decreases in proportion. Try to keep Camerupt in the battle with full HP to use it, you may want to increase its PP to its max.

Fire Blast is an alternate Fire-Type move in case Camerupt's HP decreases. Fire Blast does 110 damage and has a 10% chance of burning the target. It has 5 PP, too, so you may want to increase its PP to its max.

Keep Camerupt's natural move, Curse, to increase its Attack and Defense stats by 1 stage each.

Poppy's Magnezone is an Electric and Steel-Type Pokémon. While Fire-Type moves can still affect Magnezone, Ground-Type moves such as Stomping Tantrum and Earthquake are super effective.

Skeledirge advice:

When it comes to Geeta's Avalugg, give Charcoal to Skeledirge. KO Avalugg with Overheat. Ice-Types can barely impact Fire and Ghost-Type Pokémon.

Overheat does 130 damage with 90 accuracy but lowers Skeledirge's Special Attack by two stages after attacking.

Have Skeledirge learn Torch Song to deal 80 damage and raise its Special Attack stat by 1 stage as an alternate move. If Skeledirge faces Geeta's Espartha, use Torch Song to boost Shadow Ball.

Shadow Ball deals 80 accurate damage and has a 20% chance of lowering the target's Special Defense by one stage.

Allow Skeledirge to learn and Use Sunny Day to cancel Geeta's Veluza's Rain Dance.

Sunny Day powers up Fire-Type moves by 50% and lowers Water-Type moves by 50%.

6. Get Miracle Seed for Tropius

Image
image
Trpoius wants to come to help after a long siesta.

Miracle Seed is a battle item held by a Pokémon. It increases the power of Grass-Type moves by 20%. It’s ideal for Grass-Types to hold it.

Advice:

Tropius is a Grass and Flying-Type Pokémon.

Tropius, in this list, is recommended to battle against Rika’s Pokémon.

Whishcash is a Water and Ground-Type Pokémon. Make Tropius the 1’st Pokémon in your party because Rika will send out her Whishcash as her 1'st Pokémon.

Tropius, as part Flying-Type, is immune to Whishcash’s Ground-Type moves.

Let Tropius learn Grassy Terrain, Giga Drain, and Solar Beam with the Miracle Seed.

Grassy Terrain restores the HP of grounded Pokémon each turn by 1⁄16 of their maximum HP.

It also increases Grass-Type moves by 50% (70% with Miracle Seed). It also halves the powers of Ground-Type moves such as Bulldoze, Earthquake, and Magnitude.

Giga Drain does 75 accurate damages and recovers 50% of the HP drained.

Solar Beam makes Tropoius gather light on the first turn and does 120 accurate damage on the 2’nd turn.

7. Mystic Water for Gyrados

Image
image
Gyrados can’t wait to flood the Elite 4 battlefield.

Mystic Water is a battle item held by a Pokémon. It increases the power of Water-Type moves by 20%. It's ideal for Water-Type Pokémon to hold it.

Advice:

Gyrados is a Water and Flying-Type. Do not use a Dragon Tera Type Gyrados against the Elite 4, you want it to stay as a Water Tera Type.

Gyrados is ideal against most of Rika's Pokémon since they are all Ground-Type hybrids.

After using Tropius against Rika's Whishcash, unleash Gyrados.

Use most of Gyrados's Water-Type moves such as Hydro Pump and Waterfall.

Hydro Pump is a powerful 110 damage move with 80 Accuracy. It has 5 PP, so you may want to increase its PP to sweep most of Rika's Pokémon.

Waterfall deals 80 accurate Damage and has a 20% chance of causing the target to flinch. This is a great move if you're running low with Hydro Pump.

Blizzard is similar to Hydro Pump dealing 110 damage but with 70 Accuracy. It has a 10% chance of freezing the opponent. Keep this move specifically against Rika's Donphan. Water and Ice-Type moves have an equal advantage over Poison and Ground-Types. Ice-Type moves are slightly stronger in this case.

While Garchomp should be the one to Terastalize and KO Geeta's Glimmora with Earthquake, Gyrados is a useful bench Pokémonn against Glimmora. Use Gyrados' Water-Type moves.

8. Punching Glove for Lucario

Image
image
Lucario can’t wait to help his friends defeat the Elite 4!

The Punching Glove is a battle item held by a Pokémon. It boosts the power of the holder's punching moves and prevents direct contact with targets.

Advice:

Lucario's makes a great Pokémon as a Fighting and Steel-Type, making it immune to Poison-Types.

Lucario resists nearly half of the Type chart besides Fire, Fairy, Flying, and Ground. Keep it as a Fighting Tera Type against the Elite 4.

With the Punching Glove, Lucario should be your 6th Pokémon as a bench Pokémon, if all else fails. Against the Elite 4 it should have this moveset:

  • Drain Punch
  • Thunder Punch
  • Fire Punch
  • Ice Punch

Drain Punch is a Fighting-Type move dealing 75 accurate damage, recovering 50% of the HP drained. It's highly effective against Larry's Pokémon. Even if Lucario can sweep most of Larry's Pokémon with Drain Punch, Garchomp has a better power and accuracy moveset. You may consider swapping in Lucario to fight against Larry's Altaria.

Thunder Punch is an Electric-Type move dealing 75 accurate damage and has a 10% chance of paralyzing the target. Have this against some of Larry's Pokémon, such as Oricorio.

Fire Punch is a Fire-Type move dealing 75 accurate damage and has a 10% chance of burning the target. Have this against Poppy's Steel-Type Pokémon.

Ice Punch is an Ice-Type move dealing 75 accurate damage and has a 10% chance of freezing the target. Have this against Rika's Ground-Type Pokémon and Hassel's Dragon-Type Pokémon.

The game allows you to change Pokémon before facing Geeta. Prioritize having a 2'nd Lucario with a Steel Tera Type, and give it the Punching Glove with this moveset:

  • Close Combat
  • Fire Punch
  • Thunder Punch
  • Flash Canon

Use Lucario's Close Combat against Geeta's Kinggambit. Close Combat deals 120 accurate damage but lowers the user's Defense and Special Defense by one stage each after attacking.

Since your Lucario should be at a higher level, hopefully, you only get to use it once.

Save Lucario's Fire Punch against Geeta's Avalugg, just in case you need to swap him in.

Save Lucario's Thunder Punch against Geeta's Veluza in case you need to swap him in.

Flash Cannon deals 80 accurate damage and has a 10% chance of lowering the target's Special Defense by one stage.

While Garchomp should be the best Pokémon to Terastalize and use Earthquake against Glimmora, Lucario should be saved as a bench Pokémon just in case.

Glimmora is weak to Steel-Type moves, making Flash Canon the best option as you continue to lower Glimmora's Special Defense.

9. Wise Glasses for Bellibolt

Image
image
Bellibolt’s excited to go against Geeta, but it needs a big sandwich first.

Wise Glasses is a battle item held by a Pokémon. It Increases the power of Special-category moves of all types.

Advice:

Bellibolt is an Electric-Type Pokémon.

You want it to fight against Geeta's Veluza since it is a Water and Psychic-Type.

Many players may struggle against Veluza, and Bellibolt can greatly penetrate Veluza's HP.

Skeledirge and Scyther are great bench Pokémon in this specific battle. Only swap them in if necessary.

Swap in Skeledirge to cancel Veluza's Rain Dance with Sunny Day and use Shadow Ball.

Scyther may defeat Veluza by combining X-Scissor or Bug Buzz.

You can also stall with these Pokémon to heal Bellibolt with Max Revive or with Revive and Max Potion.

With Bellibolt, it should have this moveset:

  • Electric Terrain
  • Charge
  • Discharge
  • Zap Cannon

Keep Bellibolt's Electromorphosis ability. When Bellibolt gets hit by an attack, the power of the next Electric-Type move it uses is doubled.

Electric Terrain creates a low-lying electric field lasting 5 turns, that prevents grounded Pokémon from falling asleep. It boosts Electric-Type moves by 50% (more with Electromorphosis).

Charge raises the user's Special Defense by one stage. If Bellibolt's next move is a damage-dealing Electric-Type attack, it will deal double damage.

Discharge deals 80 accurate damage and has a 30% chance of paralyzing the target.

Zap Cannon deals 120 damage with 50 accuracy and paralyzes the target if it hits.

With the Veluza fight, first, use Electric Terrain. Have Veluza hit Bellibolt. Use Zap Cannon to try to KO Veluza, but there is a 90% chance this move will get Veluza's HP to 30% - 20%. This is why you need Discharge since it's guaranteed to hit.

It depends if you want to make a risky strategy, as Veluza may use a Psychic-Move.

Since Water-Types can't KO Electric-Types easily, use Electric Terrain as your 1'st move.

Use Discharge as your 2'nd move.

Finally, use Zap Cannon as your last move to guarantee a KO.

10. Scope Lens for Scyther

Image
image
Scyther is Bug-Buzzed to join the battle!

The Scope Lens is a battle item held by a Pokémon. It Increases the Pokémon's critical-hit ratio. This means the next few hits will become more powerful and grow each time after the first hit.

Advice:

Scyther is a Bug and Flying-Type Pokémon.

Use it against Geeta's Espartha as Psychic-Types are extremely weak to Bug-Types and Dark-Types.

Scyther may assist in battling Geeta's Veluza, but only as a second resort.

The Scope Lens interacts with Scyther's Swarm Ability and Technician Ability.

The Swarm Ability increases the power of Bug-Type moves by 50% when Scyther's HP falls below a third of its maximum (in a pinch).

The Technician Ability increases the power of 60 base power moves or below, by 50%.

Both Abilities are useful in battling against Espartha, and it doesn't change Scyther's moveset:

  • X-Scissor
  • Focus Energy
  • Trailbalze
  • Night Slash

X-Scissor deals 80 accurate Damage.

Focus Energy is a Special Defense move, increasing the critical hit ratio even more.

Trailblaze deals 50 accurate damage and raises the user's speed by one stage.

Night Slash is the only Egg Move based on this specific moveset. Read this article about Egg Moves. Find and catch a Gallade, Weavile, or Bisharp who naturally learns the move Night Slash. Make sure Scyther is holding the Mirror Herb.

Nightslah deals 70 accurate damage and has an increased critical hit ratio. It's beneficial to have during the Espartha fight.

Trailblaze is specifically on this list because it may assist in the Veluza battle. Grass-Type moves are super effective against Water-Types.
