Leona is one of the tanky supports in League of Legends. Her skills are mostly for team fight initiation. With her recent visual updates, we will check all of her current skins and rank them from worst to best.

13. Defender Leona

Defender Leona Spotlight

Even if this skin is a Legacy tier, Defender Leona takes the last place, or the “worst” skin for Leona. Aside from the new splash art, in-game model, there are no skill, particles, or sound effects for this skin. In addition, some of the players think that the classic skin is better than this skin.

How to get: A chance to get it as a skin shard in a Hextech Box, get it as a permanent skin when rerolling three skin shards. Players can buy this for 750 Riot Points if they  reopen the Legacy Vault.

12. Barbeque Leona

Barbeque Leona Spotlight

Barbeque Leona is part of the Culinary Masters skin line in League of Legends. The shared splash art and in-game model is good, but when it comes to the skill effects, you only get the E skill effect changed. Players think that this skin can be improved by incorporating a grilling sound effect when her W skill is used because she is using a grill as a shield.

11. Valkyrie Leona

Valkyrie Leona Spotlight

Although this is the cheapest skin for Leona, the in-game model and splash art is stunning. Aside from the W skill effects, there are no changes to her particles, sound, and the rest of her skill effects. This skin is also a part of the Fables skin line.

10. Iron Solari Leona

Iron Solari Leona Spotlight

Just like her other skins, Iron Solari Leona offers a new splash art, and in-game model. The in-game model looks great, but the splash art is still lacking. Players can see the Iron Solari symbol when her ultimate ability is used. Considering its price, Riot Games should have changed all of her skill effects.

9. Pool Party Leona

Pool Party Leona Spotlight

Pool Party Leona is one of the favorites of Leona mains because the overall design of this skin is a masterpiece. It offers a new splash art, recall animation, skills, and particle effects. For the in-game model, Leona is dressed in her summer outfit while using a canopy as her weapon, and a surfboard as her shield. A Chroma Bundle is available if players want to change the color of the skin.

Battle Academia Leona is the skin that makes Leona a “Campus Crush” type of girl. The skills, particles, and sound effects are astonishing, especially the skill effect where she charges her shield if players used her W ability. A Chroma Bundle is also available if players decide to change the color of this skin.

As an Epic tier skin, PROJECT:Leona is quite decent on what it has to offer for its price. It comes with a new voice-over, skills, particles, sound, recall, and death animations. The in-game model of Leona is wearing heavy armor, and carries a mounted ion charged shield.

6. Battle Academia Leona Prestige Edition

Battle Academia Leona Prestige Spotlight

Prestige skins are supposed to make the players feel that they are worth the grind because they are hard to get. Unfortunately, Riot Games did not listen to the community when this skin was in the Public Beta Environment, resulting in the disappointment of the players. There are no complaints when it comes to the skill, particle, and sound effects, but the main problem is that they used the old base model of Leona, which makes it look like an Epic tier skin. 

How to get: Currently Unavailable, but a chance to appear in the rotating Mythic Essence shop.

5. DWG Leona

DWG Leona Spotlight

Damwon Gaming Leona is made to honor Cho “BeryL” Geon-Hee for his winning performance along with his teammates during the 2020 World Championship. It comes with a shared splash art, skill, particle, sound, effects which shows the DWG emblem. For the recall animation, players can see Beryl’s signature while Leona is taking tons of selfies.

Debonair Leona Spotlight

As one of the recent additions in the Debonair skin line, Debonair Leona is an Epic tier skin that has an aura of what an Elegant looking skin should look. From the splash art to the skill, sound, and particle effects, it will definitely satisfy the players. There is also a new recall animation for this skin where Leona is sitting while shielding herself from bullets with ease. A Chroma Bundle is also available for this skin.

For the skill and sound effects, it is similar to her PROJECT: Leona skin, but it is understandable. It also offers a filtered voice-over, and a new recall animation.

These two Legendary tier skins are currently sold separately and aside from their respective colors and recall animation, it uses the same skill, particle, and sound effects, as well as  voice-over, emotes, walking, attacking, death, and respawn animations. The theme of these skins are pretty obvious which is Solar and Lunar Eclipse.

High Noon Leona Spotlight

Let’s make this clear; High Noon Leona is the best skin for Leona, not because it is the most recent one, but because it is by far the best skin we have seen for her. From the splash art to in-game accuracy, it marks the spot. The cage dress with a glowing fire moth ribbon behind, and a badass shield with tons of details will make her other skins feel outdated. It also comes with new emotes, sounds, skills, and particle effects, as well as idle, attacking, walking, recall, respawn and death animations. A Chroma bundle is also available for this skin.
