[Top 5] The Sims 4 Best Vampire Weaknesses

The Sims 4 Vampire Weaknesses
Want to suck the NPC's blood?

Vampires are many simmers’ favorite supernatural beings.

They are super strong and super exciting but, like us all, they also have weaknesses. Here are my top 5 favorite weaknesses so that you can get the best out of your choices. It’s worth noting that certain weaknesses conflict with certain powers, and a lot of weaknesses cause your vampire to become tense. This can be overridden using the ‘carefree’ reward trait.

5. Guilty Drinker

Some vampires are a little human, after all.

The ‘Guilty Drinker’ weakness means that your vampire will become tense when drinking from a sim without their permission. It’s often hard to get a sim’s permission unless your vampire has a good relationship with them, so at first glance, this is quite an annoying weakness.

However, if you want your vampire to only survive on plasma packs then this weakness really won’t affect them. Also, with the purchase of the ‘carefree’ reward trait, your sim won’t become tense, and the weakness is canceled out.

This weakness is great for storytelling, creating a lot of tension. It is also very easily canceled out using the ‘carefree’ trait, leaving you with a weakness-free vampire if you choose correctly.

Guilty drinker weakness details:

  • Becomes tense when drinking blood without permission
  • Canceled out by ‘carefree’ reward trait
  • Your vampire is unaffected if you don’t drink blood without permission

4. Sloppy Drinker

Some vampires need more practice to be on form!

The ‘Sloppy Drinker’ weakness means that your vampire isn’t very apt at drinking blood, so they gain less Thirst when drinking. This really isn’t a big deal; it just means that they have to feed more often.

This weakness is good if you want a strong vampire; it doesn’t affect your game too much.

Sloppy drinker weakness details:

  • Gain less Thirst when drinking blood
  • Therefore, needs to feed more often
  • Not a big deal!

3. Sleep of the Undead

Who needs a bed when you can create a gorgeous coffin room?

The ‘Sleep of the Undead’ weakness means that your vampire can only sleep and nap in a coffin. This weakness is one of the more positive choices unless for some reason you want your vampire to sleep in a bed!

This weakness is good if you want a strong vampire; it doesn’t affect your game too much. Plus, you can design a really nice coffin room, as above!

Sleep of the Undead weakness details:

  • Unable to sleep/nap in beds – only coffins
  • Not a big deal!

2.  Fitful Sleep/Nightmarish Sleep

No wonder vampires can't sleep soundly at night...

The ‘Fitful Sleep/Nightmarish Sleep’ weakness means that your vampire will gain power more slowly when sleeping. There are two tiers – 1st tier is ‘Fitful Sleep’, 2nd tier is ‘Nightmarish Sleep’.

This weakness is one of the best to choose if you want your vampire to be unaffected by their weakness – you’ll barely notice the difference. They’ll just need an extra few minutes of shuteye! Note that it does conflict with the ‘Vampiric Trance’ strength.

Fitful Sleep/Nightmarish Sleep weakness details:

  • Power gain is reduced while sleeping
  • Needs longer to reach full power
  • Two tiers – may as well use both
  • Barely affects your game – great if you want a strong vampire with few weaknesses
  • Conflicts with ‘Vampiric Trance’ strength

1.  Withered Stomach

Yuck! Just blood for me, thanks.

The ‘Withered Stomach’ weakness means that your vampire will vomit when eating human food. This means that putting on the appearance of a normal sim will be impractical but, all in all, your game will be unaffected.

This weakness is one of the best to choose if you want your vampire to be unaffected by their weakness – you just don’t eat human food.

Withered Stomach weakness details:

  • Vomit when eating human food
  • Simple – just don’t eat human food
  • Doesn’t affect your game – no real need to make your vampire eat human food
