[Top 10] Dokkan Battle Best AoE Units

I bet he is among the first you thought of

A must-know to plow through your competition in the World Tournament.

Area of Effect or AoE attacks are ones that damage all enemies within a certain area, usually a pretty large one at that. In Dokkan Battle they are referred to as All-Target Super Attacks. They are incredibly useful during the World Tournament or when grinding for something on stages with multiple enemies and, with a good team, they can make a huge difference during Super Battle Road.

For this list, we’re gonna go over the best characters that use All-Target super attacks and/or ultra super attacks that will help you make your way through the game. The criteria will be based on things like their attack potential, how well they can take care of themselves, and the ease with which their AoE SA can be used. Enough of an introduction, let’s get to the Top 10 AoE characters in Dokkan Battle global.

10.  [Extreme Z-Awakened] Welcome to Hell Perfect Cell

For newer players this unit may come as a bit of a surprise since the condition for his All-Target SA makes it a rare occurrence, but he does have an AoE attack and it’s pretty good. Other Cell units are his best partners but he’d do well with other Resurrected Warriors villains too.

  • His passive skill alone makes him a powerful unit and if you manage to absorb 6 or more ki orbs, he becomes even stronger.
  • He also debuffs his opponents when there are 2 or more, which is particularly useful here since it’ll let you get the most of his AoE attack.
  • His All-Target SA makes him a decent healer with a 10% HP recovery.

9. [EZA] Super Warrior of Destruction Legendary Super Saiyan Broly

This was not an easy decision given how much damage his LR counterpart can deal, but I gotta say this Broly is better rounded. If you got doubts, why don’t we go through some bullet points regarding his pluses to see if I can convince you to agree with me? Be sure to pair him up with other saiyans.

  • Most importantly, he retains and enhances his defense when attacking, allowing him to dish out damage without becoming a liability.
  • His passive multiplier scales better with his Hidden Potential than his LR counterpart.
  • He raises his own attack with his SA.
  • This is getting a bit nitpicky, but his lower team-cost makes him easier to manage when building teams for lower ranked players

8. [EZA] Storm of Terror Frieza (2nd Form)

Can’t have a list without a free-to-play unit, right? This Frieza isn’t here just because he is F2P, he truly deserves this spot. Given his abilities, it’s easy to see that he was created with the idea of fighting against multiple opponents in mind. He can do well in a variety of villain-based teams but Wicked Bloodline and Terrifying Conquerors are solid options.

  • Great Wicked Bloodline and Terrifying Conqueror’s linkset
  • Active skill that makes him even more useful and lets him activate his full passive
  • Completely self-sufficient against multiple opponents
  • Transformation Boost sub-leader

7. Endless Evolution of the Warrior Race Super Saiyan Broly

Just like in the movie, this man is a force to be reckoned with. The only reason he isn’t higher up is that he loses his All-Target SA after several turns when he transforms, but you may not even need to worry about that since he’s strong enough to wrap up fights in just a few turns. He fits well in many teams but a Pure Saiyans one is a great choice.

  • He is just a straight up hard-hitter thanks to his 130% attack boost right off the bat.
  • Great saiyan-based linkset
  • Completely self-reliant because of his ki +6 from the start
  • Dual-category leader
  • Becomes even stronger with his transformation

6. Wrathful Eruption Majin Buu (Good)

True to his name, his SA is one big, powerful eruption that can tear through your opponent’s defenses. Though his linkset can make him a bit tricky to manage in teams, he is most definitely worth using in whatever team you put him into. He is at his best with other Majin units.

  • His orb-changing skill can help feed himself and other units
  • Decent nuking potential
  • SA can stun opponents for 2 turns
  • He can tank pretty well after absorbing several orbs

5. Earth-Piercing Light Frieza (Final Form)

Personally, I feel this unit is not talked about enough nowadays, so let’s give him some love and go over why he is definitely worth throwing in your team. Couple him with Cooler or other Frieza units to get the most out of him.

  • SA has the chance to seal every enemy’s super attack.
  • Boosts his stats and gives himself +5 ki when facing multiple opponents, letting you get even more out of him.
  • The best sub-leader for the Planet Namek Saga category
  • Has a separate toolkit for dealing with single opponents, increasing his flexibility
  • Well-balanced linkset

4. A Shot at Victory Piccolo

Let me tell you about this Piccolo we sometimes forget about, sonny. Typically, it’s his PHY version that gets the most attention and while that one is strong, this one has plenty going for it too. When you look at his toolkit, it’s easy to see that he was made to deal with crowds of opponents, much like in the movie he was drawn from.

  • SA has a chance to stun enemies for 2 turns
  • Guaranteed SA when facing 2 or more opponents--assuming he is under good leaders
  • Balanced attack and defense boosts
  • Unconditional 100% attack and defense boost

3. Raging Killer Move Krillin

The man spear-heading the Earthlings, he is most definitely a worthy representative. If you’re farming links against Saibamen or you need to fight through World Tournament enemies, he is a top-notch option.

  • The only Earthlings category leader
  • Completely free-to-play!!!
  • AoE SA can stun all enemies
  • Infinite attack & defense stacking potential
  • Launches an additional SA when facing 6 opponents, making him perfect for crowded stages like the World Tournament.

2. Rampaging Vicious Saiyans Nappa & Vegeta

Since they came out so close to the anniversary and LR UI Goku’s release, they sort of slipped through a lot of people’s minds, which is to be expected given how powerful the other units were. However, they should not be underestimated because they are a killer AoE unit, especially for the World Tournament. Pair them with Extreme Pure Saiyans units.

  • Attack boost per enemy and ki +5 passive makes them perfectly self-sufficient, even under a single leader as is the case in the World Tournament
  • Though a bit of a weird active skill, it still can prove to be a life-saver in some instances.
  • The single best Inhuman Deeds category leader currently in the game.
  • Swap with Vegeta restores 50% of health and turns him into a solid fighter against single opponents

1. The Deadly Cell Games Cell (Perfect Form) & Cell Jr.

There’s a reason he’s a fearsome villain and this card definitely does Cell some justice. Although he does not have as many bells and whistles as other units in this list, his solid, straightforward boosts are what make him so good. Pair him up with other Cell units for the best results.

  • Can be run alongside various other Cell units thanks to his unique name.
  • Boosts attack and ki with every enemy on the field.
  • Strong, unconditional boosts that make him a top tier unit thanks to his already good base stats
  • Recovers 10% HP with his AoE super attack
