[Top 10] Dokkan Battle Best Characters

Dokkan Battle Best Characters
None other could possible be #1...

Haven't you always wondered who the best of the best are?

With 5 years worth of characters available to summon or get as rewards, figuring out what the best units in the game can be daunting, to say the least. There are also plenty of criteria to consider as no one single thing  wins fights in Dokkan, so I’m here to lend you a hand. All units in the game have something useful about them, but these 10 just have a way of standing out from the crowd in most situations. Here are the top 10 units currently available in the Global version of the game.

10. Explosive Evolution Turles

Synonym with support, this is a unit loved by everyone in the community. Although his boost can sometimes be inopportune, this Turles has plenty going for him that makes him deserving of this spot.

  • His passive gives all allies a boost of 3 ki and 40% attack. Couple this with the ki link of “Prepared for Battle” and attack boosting ones like “Fierce Battle” and “Brutal Beatdown,” and you can expect to wipe the field with your opponents.
  • He makes your life easier thanks to his super attack’s chance to stun opponents and his passive debuff of Super class enemies, something that makes a huge difference in difficult events like Super Battle Road.
  • Although he is often used as a support, he is also one of the best leaders for the Movie Bosses category with his ki+3 and 150% stat boost across the board. He can also plow through opponents when his boost is activated.
  • He’s very versatile! He can be thrown into an Extreme class team, a mono-AGL one, Pure Saiyans, with the anniversary fusions in the Final Trump Card category, and others. There is plenty of room for him to fit into.

9. All or Nothing SSGSS Vegito

While the grind to get and max out this character may be a bit of a drag, it is well-worth your time, particularly if you’re a Free to Play (F2P) player.

  • His availability is one of the main reasons he is on this list. Though grinding his medals and other copies through Baba’s shop takes a while, you don’t need to spend a penny to rainbow and raise his SA to level 10.
  • Despite his age, this Vegito holds up really well in today’s meta thanks to his straightforward passive ability and great linkset. With these things, you will struggle little to set off his Super Attack (SA) and expect to hit your opponent hard, as well as contributing to the ki and attack of your allies.
  • Speaking of his SA, his 12-17 ki allows Vegito to infinitely stack his attack and defense, making him great for stacking events like Fighting Legend: Goku.
  • End-game material. Combine his abilities with the fact that he belongs in Super Battle Road categories like Potara, Future Saga, and Realm of Gods, and you can expect to get a lot out of him for end-game events. Not to mention he will make a great addition to your Ultimate Battle Roster.
  • Although he’s missing the “Over in a Flash” link, he still makes for a solid linking partner for both of the 5th anniversary fusions in a Final Trump Card team.

8. (Extreme Z Awakened) Azure Omnipotence SSGSS Vegito

With the introduction of his EZA, this Vegito made a comeback that shook up the entire game. An all-around offensive beast, this Vegito makes for an ideal addition to anyone’s box. His biggest downside is having to EZA him (both you and your wallet will take a beating).

  • Thanks to a great balance of ki links and stat boosting ones, this Vegito will never struggle in fights and will contribute greatly to any team he is put into.
  • Vegito also makes for one of the best offensive weapons in the game thanks to his passive and SA stat boosts coupled with his ability to counter attack and launch multiple attacks.
  • His received damage reduction ability allows him to tank very well against some of the strongest enemies in Dokkan Battle, just be careful against Super Attacks as he cannot tank those.

7. Extreme Ultimate Power Cooler

While the Transformation Boost category was not particularly special when it was first added to the game, Cooler’s introduction made it into one of the go-to teams in the game.

  • It is important to save as many resources as you can in the game. Fortunately, you can hoard your kais because you can farm his Super Attack through his story event.
  • He is a flexible, top-notch leader for Transformation boost and Terrifying Conquerors, which makes him particularly useful.
  • His Active Skill is fairly easy to trigger given the abundance of Pure Saiyan and Hybrid Saiyan opponents in the game. Even if you aren’t facing such opponents, it is still possible to trigger it during long events.
  • He is a team blessing! His debuffing SA along with his ki, attack and defense boosting passive skill for his allies make him a great addition to any team.
  • While support is often associated with low individual performance, this unit should not be underestimated at all.  Cooler is a hard-hitter in his own right and can hit even harder after transforming.

6. Fused Super Power SS Goku & SS Vegeta

One of the 3rd Anniversary LRs, this unit is still going strong in the current meta. If you’re looking for a well-rounded unit to add to your team, these guys are absolutely worth your time.

  • Their fusion ability can come in clutch for events like Super Battle Road and Infinite Dragon Ball History, restoring your health back to 100%. The conditions may be hard to reach for many events, but odds are you won’t need to with these guys on your team because...
  • As I said, they are well-rounded. Between their greatlinks, 120% attack boost, and their passive ability to boost ki per rainbow sphere, hitting hard won’t be a problem. Moreover, their 120% defense boost under a strong leader makes them very tanky.
  • You may be thinking “so why them and not their Angel counterparts?” For one, this unit’s 18+ ki SA boosts his allies' attack, while Gogeta’s debuff will not always work due to the increasingly common enemy resistances. Also, Vegito’s counterattack makes him a far more dangerous weapon in the latter stages of the most difficult events because those opponents tend to attack more frequently.

5. Apex of Supreme Saiyan Power SS4 Goku

While both Super Saiyan 4 LRs are incredible, Goku makes his way into the list thanks to his overall survivability and consistent damage-dealing.

  • Though he lacks an initial defense boost, Goku becomes tankier with each passing turn. Add to this his defense boost through his SA and you got yourself a formidable tank.
  • Not only can Goku take hits, but his chance to dodge and counter enemy super attacks can prove invaluable against hard-hitting opponents.
  • Staying alive is not Goku’s only game. Thanks to his passive and 18+ ki SA, he can hit hard; and if you need to wrap up a fight, his active skill will both severely hurt the enemy and further boost his attack for the next hit. Finally, thanks to his passive ability to boost ki spheres absorbed and a strong linkset, you can expect him to eat through your opponent’s health bar in most situations.
  • Beyond acting as one of the best leaders for Goku’s Family, SS4 Goku can also double as a Super AGL leader, as well as fitting in nicely in any Kamehameha or Pure Saiyans team.

4. Awakened True Power Super Saiyan Gohan (Youth)

Introducing the boy stacking event bosses truly fear: LR Super Saiyan Gohan!!! A formidable unit with and without his transformation, you will wonder how you got through the game without him.

  • His infinite defense stacking and passive boost turn him into an impenetrable fortress duringlong events like Infinite Dragon Ball History, making him a key unit for such events. Even without much stacking, he is a formidable defender.
  • While he has been labeled as the staple stacking event unit, LR Gohan can also hit hard thanks to his passive attack boosts and links such as Super Saiyan and Fierce Battle. Although it requires him to meet very specific conditions, his attack potential shoots through the roof when transformed and coupled with SS Goku.
  • He is an incredibly versatile unit too, besides a solid linkset, he can be thrown into 11 different categories and perform well in them all.
  • Most importantly, he is the sole, best leader for the Kamehameha category, making him an invaluable unit since he allows you to bring together some of the best units in the game.

3. Sign of a Turnaround Goku (Ultra Instinct  -Sign-)

Making his way near the top of the list is the character many gave up their dragon stones for (and regretted it) on the home stretch to the 5th anniversary. Just like in the show, UI Goku has proven himself a force to be reckoned with.

  • Thanks to his 70% chance of dodging all enemy attacks, Goku can help you save plenty of health. Although his dodging drops after 7 turns to 50%, he is still a very capable dodger, but that will rarely be problematic because…
  • He will knock out your opponent by the time his passive dodging drops. Unless you’re playing a stacking event or SBR, UI Goku will plow through your opponents due to his initial boost, attack and ki boost per dodge, and ability to disable the enemy's guard.
  • But say you don’t want to rely too much on his dodging for longer events, well he is a solid defender as well. Between his strong base defense and both passive defense boosts, you can expect him to tank some serious hits.
  • Lastly, he can be thrown into powerful teams like Kamehameha, Realm of Gods, and Universe Survival Saga while having great synergy with most of the strongest units in those categories.

2. Ultimate and Invincible Fusion Vegito

One of the two units you saved stones for like people were stacking up on toilet paper and disinfectant gel, the new transforming Vegito was absolutely worth it. (As for those of you who got shafted, I feel your pain). This Vegito lived up to his hype with his beautiful animations and amazing capabilities

  • Vegito shines with his transformation and, fortunately, it is one of the easiest ones to attain as it only requires you to wait a few turns.
  • He is an absolute powerhouse. Between his cumulative passive and super attack stat boosts, launching an additional SA, as well as amazing raw stats, Vegito will tear through any opponent. Add to this his Active Skill attack and he will wrap up any fight in little to no time.
  • If at any point you need an escape, you can wager on his ability to dodge as the 3rd attacker in a rotation.
  • He is not limited to attacking thanks to his limited stacking defense, initial boost, and self-boosting SA. With all this, he makes for a worthy tank.
  • Lastly, he becomes completely self-sufficient  thanks to his passive that gives him +7 ki once he reaches his maximum potential.

1.Ultimate and Supreme Fusion Gogeta

Here he is, the other man you saved up your stones for like my aunt saves coupons to go grocery shopping: Gogeta. While both of the new LR fusions may seem identical at first glance, Gogeta ultimately has a slight edge on Vegito.

  • Thanks to the additional ki link in his base form, Gogeta will have an easier time stacking his attack through his Super Attacks, something that ultimately makes a huge difference when he transforms.
  • The Warrior Gods link he gains, does more to benefit his attack than Vegito’s Power Bestowed by God.
  • Lastly, his passive skill allows his attacks to be effective against all types of enemies, something that makes a noticeable difference during difficult events with bosses of varying types.

(A little side note: this was all considering realistic versatility, not the ideal conditions for them both. Were we to max them out and put them in their ideal scenarios, Vegito would be the better individual unit.)
