Dokkan Battle Best Fusion Teams

The embodiment of "two heads think better than one"--or at least hit harder than just one.

Hello everyone! I’m back with another list of team-builds. This time we’ll be tackling yet another small but mighty category: Fusion. Because of its small variety, the optimal teams are only slight variations of each other, so I plan on giving you a wider variety of choices with varying strengths, as opposed to a series of teams that are only a unit or two different. I don’t have much else to say (what a rare occasion) so let’s get started on the top 5 Fusion teams you can currently make in DBZ Dokkan Battle global.

5. 100% Off

As the [clever] name suggests, this team is completely free-to-play (F2P). The category may be small, but there are enough units to make a decent Fusion team without spending a penny, just don’t expect to beat SBR or IDBH stages. Now you have a template to improve upon as you summon and get better fusion units, making team-building easier.

  • The very best part is, as I said, that it’s entirely free, you don’t  have to use kais to level them up and one of them even has his own orbs.
  • Their low team-cost makes it friendly for low rank players.
  • Synergy between Fusion units is quite strong, so all units here will boost one another quite a bit and give each other a good amount of ki.
  • In terms of offense, this team performs well thanks to Gogeta and SSJ3 Gotenks.
  • Gotenks & Ghost are themselves a huge plus as they give ki orbs, heal, and can stun opponents for 2 turns. They are the cornerstone of this team.

Units:

  • Recommended Leader: [Extreme Z-Awakened] Into the Final Phase Gogeta
  • Sub-leader (if Gogeta isn’t EZA): Super Ghost prank SSJ Gotenks & Ghost
  • Friend: Transcendent Fusion SSJ Gogeta
  • Power that Outshines the Adults SSJ3 Gotenks
  • Bizarre Finisher Gotenks
  • Over Exhaustion Gotenks (Failure) B
  • From Father to Son Goten (Kid)

Recommended Rotations:

  • Main: SSJ Gogeta---SSJ Gotenks & Ghost; Gogeta---SSJ3 Gotenks
  • Floaters: Gotenks, Goten, and Gotenks (Failure) B

4. Playtime

A team built around the different Gotenks who are all more seemingly concerned with hitting hard over defending. This team was made to power through your opponents before they bring down your health to 0.

  • As I implied, this team is all about offensive power. If you look at the passive skills of these units you’ll notice most of them have greater attack than defensive boosts. It’s perfect for punching your way through stages quickly.
  • The Goten in this team serves as a great linking partner for the rather tricky LR Trunks & Goten, allowing them to be at their best.
  • Both SSJ Gotenks help soften the blows you take by sealing, healing, and/or stunning.
  • The inclusion of two F2P units makes this a team within the reach of low- and mid-ranked players as well as completely F2P users.
  • The rotation setups allow you to use Gotenks’ 11 ki super attack (his best) more consistently

Team

  • Recommended friend: Fused Fighting Force SSJ Goku (Angel) & Vegeta (Angel)
  • [EZA] Grim Reaper of Death’s Rampage SSJ3 Gotenks
  • [EZA] Devastating Fusion Power SSJ Gotenks
  • Budding Warrior Trunks (Kid) & Goten (Kid)
  • From Father to Son Goten (Kid)
  • Super Ghost Prank SSJ Gotenks & Ghost

Rotations

  • Main: SSJ3 Gotenks---SSJ Gotenks; Goten---Trunks & Goten
  • Floaters: Goku & Vegeta, Gotenks & Ghost, and SSJ Gogeta

3. Dragon Ball Heroes Tag Team

I bet many of you forgot about the SDBH (Super DragonBall Heroes) fusions that were added a while back during the collaboration event. Well, they are actually pretty good and are very clearly meant to be used together. This team was created so that the pair can thrive in various events, but you should be wary of enemy vulnerabilities because this team is very reliant on debuffs and seals. This doesn’t mean you can’t take it to really difficult events, but you won’t be able to make use of all of their abilities.

  • Like I said, this team is meant to hinder your opponents offense. Between 2 sealers and 3 debuffers, your enemies will hardly harm you.
  • But even without the debuffs and seals, this team has a great defense--except for SSJ4 Gogeta, so you might wanna consider swapping him out if you can’t debuff.
  • Offensively, this team is very powerful thanks to the Gogetas who all have amazing damage potential, particularly the LR one but…
  • The actual centerpiece is the SDBH pair that can launch additional SAs each. Couple this with their tremendous additional attack & defense boosts (that are, quite frankly, super high for SSR units) and you got yourself a perfectly in sync pair of tanks and hard-hitters.
  • Thanks to the way this team was built, you’re guaranteed to fulfill the conditions for the passive skills of the Xeno fusions every time.

Team

  • Leader: Ultimate and Supreme Fusion Gogeta
  • Friend: Transcendent Fusion SSJ Gogeta
  • [EZA] Devastating Fusion Power SSJ Gotenks
  • Entrusted Fusion Fighter Gohanks (Xeno)
  • Brave Fusion Fighter Gotenks (Xeno)
  • [EZA] The Supreme Warrior Super Gogeta
  • Peerless Gleam SSJ4 Gogeta

Rotations

  • Main: LR Gogeta---SSJ Gotenks; Gohanks---Gotenks (Xeno)
  • Floaters: SSJ Gogeta, SSJ4 Gogeta, and Super Gogeta

2. Fusion Super Battle Road Toolbox

This team was created with SBR in mind, but you can use it for other difficult events too even if you can’t fully utilize their toolkits. The main idea behind this team is weakening your opponent and boosting your team’s survivability. Feel free to shift units around based on what you have available in your box, it’s all about keeping the general idea of weakening your opponents.

  • The debuffers in your team will make your life easier by allowing you to deal more damage while restraining your opponents from dealing too much.
  • Having 2 good stunners in the team also means you may beat your enemies with nothing but a few scratches on you. They can also help you save items which, let’s face it, should be used with the utmost care in SBR.
  • Health recovery is another helpful aspect of this team. With both LRs acting as Senzu beans and Gotenks’s & Ghost’s modest healing, your team will stay afloat during the toughest of fights.
  • This team is also well-supported thanks to Gotenks & Ghost’s orb-changing skill as well as SSJ Gotenks’s passive that gives ki, attack and defense to his allies.

Team

  • Leader: Fused Fighting Force SSJ Goku (Angel) & Vegeta (Angel)
  • Friend: Fused Fighting Force SSJ Goku (Angel) & Vegeta (Angel)
  • [EZA] The Supreme Warrior Super Gogeta
  • [EZA] Heroic Victory Declaration SSJ Gotenks
  • Transcendent Fusion SSJ Gogeta
  • Peerless Gleam SSJ4 Gogeta
  • Super Ghost Prank SSJ Gotenks & Ghost

Rotations

  • Main: Goku & Vegeta---SSJ Gotenks; Goku & Vegeta---Super Gogeta
  • Floaters: Gotenks & Ghost, SSJ Gogeta, and SSJ4 Gogeta

1. The Ultimate and Supreme Fusion(s)

With this team we are going all out, this is the sort of team that takes a lot of time, actual money, luck, and plenty of in-game resources to build. Use it to challenge any event because it’s made to endure and dominate the field.

  • While the other teams in this list have great punching power, this one is the best in that it can not only knock your opponent’s teeth out, but the team as a whole has a much better defense independent from debuffs.
  • Thanks to the passive skills of 3 of the Gogetas your offense will be unstoppable as their attacks are effective against all types (this means they get a 1.5 damage multiplier). Not to mention AGL Gogeta gets an even higher multiplier when transformed.
  • Like the previous team, this one has tremendous healing thanks to the LR pairs and Gotenks & Ghost.
  • Having a sealer, stunner, and debuffer means added survivability and that the team can be taken to SBR as well.
  • Although most of the team takes time to build up to their fullest, it truly does pay off as they become tremendous damage dealers and powerful tanks. If you want to be safe, you can always bring items to use for the first few turns.
