With the Vagabond being one of the better starting classes for newer players, and the class is mostly a split for dex and strength, here are our top 10 best weapons for Vagabond builds.

10. Rivers Of Blood

You will be leaving rivers of blood behind you...

The Rivers of Blood, an overpowered weapon with one of the best weapon arts and high damage output. If you use an overpowered summon like the Mimic or Tiche you will be destroying bosses. With only 12 strength 18 dex and 20 arcane needed, you can use this weapon with your Vagabond character, even if it means adding a few extra levels in arcane. 

Why the Rivers of Blood is great for Vagabond :

  • Does blood loss build up.
  • Fast moveset.
  • Has an amazing weapon art.

How to get the Rivers of Blood:

  • At the Mountaintop of the Giants, go to the Church of repose.
  • Kill the invader Okina who is wielding the katana.
  • After defeating him the weapon will drop.

9. Great Club

Get at them Fred Flintstone.

With a requirement of 35 strength, you too can become Fred Flintstone, as this weapon scales with strength your Vagabond will be the unstoppable Takar! (blows flame) straight out of Far Cry Primal.

The Giant Crusher is a colossal, hard-hitting weapon that scales with strength. It does require 60 strength to use, you will be able to use this weapon late game, and do some massive damage.

  • Has a unique one-handed and two-handed R2.
  • Does great physical damage.

How to get the Giant Crusher:

  • Go to the Outer Wall Phantom Tree site of grace.

6. Margott’s Cursed Sword

Margott, Margit, and all the other Mar’s need no introduction, with an amazing cursed sword that scales mainly with dex, the requirements are dex 35, arc 17, and strength 14.

  • Great dex weapon with C scaling.

How to get the Cursed Sword:

  • Defeat Margott the Omen King.
  • Take his remembrance to Enia at the roundtable.
  • Trade the remembrance for the weapon.

5. Grafted Blade Greatsword

What's better than one sword? 100 swords, as one sword.

With a requirement of 40 strength and 14 dex, this hard-hitting weapon will be recognizable by a lot of George R.R. fans. 

Why the Grafted Blade is great for Vagabond:

  • Weapon skill grants the same as Godricks great rune for 30 seconds.
  • Massive damage.
  • Skill increases poise.
  • Amazing two-handed weapon.

How to get the Grafted Blade:

  • Go to Castle Morne.
  • Beat Leonine Misbegotten, and the weapon drops after the fight.

4. Ruins Greatsword.

Dealing great damage and looking amazing since ancient Roman times.

The Ruins Greatsword, is a massive weapon requiring, 50 strength and 16 intelligence. This hard hitter that has B scaling will send foes groveling for mercy, I’m looking at you Patches. With the additional few magic levels and extra magic damage, you will be doing great damage.

Why the Ruins Greatsword is great for Vagabond:

  • Massive damage.
  • B scaling with strength and strength is the Vagabond's highest starting level. (apart from vigor)
  •  Charged attacks deal gravity damage.

How to get the Ruins Greatsword:

  • Before the Festival of Radhan, go to Redmane Castle (or after defeating Radhan and exhausting Jerren’s dialogue)
  • Enter the arena and defeat the Misbegotten Warrior and the Crucible Knight.

The hand of Malenia is a katana that you will need to fight for as it requires 48 dex and 16 strength. The boss you get it from is also the toughest challenge in the game, but her Blade of Miquella, I mean Blade is worth the challenge.

  • Trade the Remembrance of the Rot Goddess with Enia at the roundtable.

2. Banished Knight Halberd

Banish your enemies to the Shadow Realm.

The Banished Knight Halberd, is a weapon you can get very early on with it only requiring 14 strength and 12 dex. With D scaling in both.

Why the Banished Knight Halberd is great for Vagabond:

  • Can get it early on.
  • Can be infused with ashes of war.
  • Can be buffed with magic and consumables.
  • Great ranged damage. 

 

How to get the Banished Knight Halberd:

  • Edgar can drop the Halberd +8  upon his defeat at Castle Morne,
  • Alternatively farming the Banished Knights has a 4% drop at 100 discovery.

Add Tiche and nobody will stop you.

The Black Knife is an amazingly strong weapon with the requirements of  8 strength, 12 dex, and 18 faith. This weapons skill will drain a boss's health bar and lower their max HP. This weapon is amazing for Vagabond players as it can be used at close range and at a distance.

Why the Black Knife is great for Vagabond:

  • Quick R2  double slash.
  • Blade of death the weapon art has a massive range.
  • Stealth attacks deal bonus damage.

How to get the Black Knife:

  • Go to Altus Plateau.
  • Go to the Sainted Hero’s Grave.
  • Defeat the Black Knife Assassin.
  • The weapon will drop after the boss is defeated.
