Red Rage Is A Go

Many Alliances employ a popular tactic which is using the same color/element as a Tank of their defense teams - especially during wars. After all, this forces the attacking enemy to use up all their heroes from the advantageous element in an effort to defeat these teams, which may lead to them running out of “proper” heroes to use sooner or later - and their eventual defeat.

So, if your Alliance adopts this tactic while using Fire heroes as Tanks, and you have any of the following heroes in your roster? Consider yourself very, very fortunate since they’re not going to let you down. These are our choices for the Top 5 Empires and Puzzles Red Tanks That Are Powerful.

5. Wilbur

Feast Fit for Kings!

Man, so many Epic heroes definitely deserve to be called Epic, and Wilbur is among the best of them.

His Wonderful Feast is a buffet of buffs for his team while also being a debuff diarrhea for his enemies. Once he unleashes it, both parties will share damage with their allies as a result, but while Wilbur’s team gets to enjoy +63% defense - always a great thing to have, by the way - his enemies will have to endure that -44% defense in return, all for 4 turns. This means, if not dispelled, Wilbur’s team will be way harder to kill, while the enemies will definitely be one step closer to defeat if that defense down is not cleansed ASAP!

If used as Tank, you can very well be sure he’ll receive the most number of attacks, so better limit break and emblem this dude up to ensure he can withstand everything the enemies throw at him - all while serving up the best meal of your life.

What Makes Wilbur Great:

  • Share Damage - both allies and enemies share damage with their teams for 4 turns
  • Buffer - gives all allies +63% defense for 4 turns
  • Debuffer - gives all enemies -44% defense for 4 turns

4. Santa Claus

Naughty or Nice?

It’s still a few months before Christmas, but the man himself can’t be stopped from spreading holiday cheer every day anyway!

Santa Claus’ Ultimate Gift Sack is a bundle of goodies for sure. Firstly, it deals 150% damage to all enemies, before summoning an elf minion for all of his allies - since they’ve been nice all year long anyway. For his naughty enemies, though? They’ll definitely be getting coals in the form of -34% attack and -44% defense for 3 turns. Yikes!

His tanking most attacks will definitely make up for his Slow Mana Speed, so better bulk him up with milk and cookies - just to make sure he can survive long into the (holy) night!

What Makes Santa Claus Great:

  • Attacks all enemies - deals 150% damage to all
  • Minion summoner - summons minions for his allies
  • Dedicated Debuffer - gives his enemies -34% attack and -44% defense for 3 turns

3. Ruby

Skewered in Style

We love, love, love our mana controllers, we love, love, love our ninjas - so a hero who’s conveniently both? Sign us up, please!

As with all ninjas, Ruby’s attack strength depends on how long she’s been saving up her mana - and it’s named Crimson Calamity for a great reason. At 1x mana charge, she only attacks one target for 290% damage, reduces their mana by 25%, and gives them -14% mana generation for 2 turns. At 2x, she attacks the target and nearby enemies for 330% damage, reduces their mana by 50%, and gives them -24% mana generation for 3 turns. At 3x mana charge though? Calamity alert! She deftly deals 370% damage to all enemies, reduces their mana by 100%, and gives them -34% mana generation for 4 turns!

If used as a Tank, you’ll be sure that her skill’s continuously being used to decrease the enemies' mana. Better make her ready to endure all attacks by strengthening her via emblems and limit breaks - to keep her painting the town red!

What Makes Ruby Great:

  • Depending on her mana charge, she:
    • Is a single to multi-target attacker - attacks one to all enemies
    • Controls enemy mana - reduces mana from 25% to 100% and gives -14% to -34% mana generation, which can last from 2 to 4 turns

2. Elizabeth

Tidy and deadly

Dealing with fiends can be a pain, sometimes even more so than killing minions - so having a summoner like Elizabeth on your team can definitely be considered a win already!

The 175% damage she deals to all enemies is already gruesome, but that’s just the tip of the whole spider. Each fiend she summons for every enemy via her Widow’s kiss damages them with 43% attack every turn, and just when you think healers are good to counteract them… well, not really. These fiends also absorb healing for up to 28% of the target’s max health and will only disappear once they get that amount. Lastly, all fiend-afflicted heroes suffer -24% mana generation, which will not go away for as long they’ve got a Spider fiend on their person. And you’d definitely want to have one on them at all times - so better strengthen her up if you’re using her as a Tank!

What Makes Elizabeth Great:

  • Multi-target attacker - deals 175% damage to all enemies
  • Fiend Summoner - summons fiends for all enemies that attack them every turn, absorb healing, and give -24% mana generation to all her enemies for as long as they have a Spider fiend

1. Black Knight Costume

Petition to call him White Knight

No list of Fire Tanks will be complete without Black Knight here, and you can be sure he’s earned his reputation - especially with his costume on!

His Special Skill, But a Scratch, tailor fits him to be your designated Tank at all times. Black Knight Costume’s given a 50% chance to drop any received damage to 1 for 4 turns, which is phenomenal considering he’ll be the target of most attacks anyway, so nullifying their damage is a must. Then, as if making sure the enemies won’t be attacking anyone else, Black Knight taunts them for 4 turns. Lastly, his protected allies get +54% attack for 4 turns too - making them deadlier than usual. He’s definitely a first-choice material for a Tank - and deserves the recognition of being our Top Choice for the role in his element!

What Makes Black Knight Great:

  • Nullifies damage - has 50% chance to drop any received damage to 1 for 4 turns
  • Taunts enemies - prevents them from attacking his allies
  • Attack buffer - gives his allies +54% attack

And there we have it! We honestly can say Fire has a lot of hot heroes under its element - and its Tanks are definitely smokin’!
