Kenshi is a great game, yet it’s poorly optimized and very CPU-hungry. Luckily for us, this game has a loyal fanbase and a great modding community that makes sure we can play this game with greater FPS numbers. I’ll include a few mods that SHOULD improve your gameplay experience - thanks for reading and let’s begin:

5. Removed Weather Effects

Say bye to the annoying rain!

This mod is awesome if you want to disable the weather effects, such as the fog, the rain, or the duststorms. This mod is awesome for improving your performance and also greatly improving your vision in areas like The Great Desert, Vain, etc, where rain and duststorms are very common!

Why this mod is awesome:

- Disables the annoying duststorms+the rain that covers 90% of your screen

- Slight performance boost

- Stobe’s Gamble is far nicer now!

4. Snowii's Massive FPS Boost+++

Great!

This mod is awesome if you’re lucking for a powerful performance boost, at the cost of turning off particles entirely. This is a mod for players that have incredibly potato’ish PCs that can barely run Mario. Although it disables cool things like the Fog in the Foglands, it’s worth it due to the massive performance spike!

Why this mod is great:

- Disables the fog(it’s an advantage)

- Disabled particles(massive FPS boost)

- Potato PC? No problem!

3. Age of Blood & Sand - Performance Addon

Who needs birds anyways!

This is an addon that disables meaningless things that pretty much nobody pays attention to, such as birds, these stupid drones that fly and do nothing in the Ashlands, and particles mostly reduced. It provides you with an even larger performance boost!

Why this mod is great:

- Disables insignificant things, such as birds, drones, etc

- Disables the massive vines in The Swamp(removing them improves your vision in the swamps)

- Higher FPS!

2. Particles and foliage fix (performance and FPS boost)

This mod makes Kenshi look even more of a wasteland than before!

This mod removes objects such as rocks, grass, trees, and many other useless things that make you unable to place your outpost in a cool place - also greatly improves your performance and makes zones such as Vain, Dreg, etc. far less laggy!

Why this mod is awesome:

- Zones particularly filled with foliage are less FPS-consuming

- A general performance boost

- Lack of foliage gives more opportunities for outpost creation

1. Compressed Textures Project

Excellent!

Sometimes while playing Kenshi, you might get an error where it states that your PC has an insufficient amount of VRAM. This mod does a great job at saving some VRAM and improving the performance to a large extent. Graphics look a bit different, if not the same. This is by far the greatest performance addon that you can get currently, IMO!

Why this mod is awesome:

- Massive performance boost without removing too many things from the game

- Reduces loading time+stuttering

- Saves VRAM
