One of Canada’s biggest Smash tournaments held in Toronto, Ontario, and on its sixth year as of 2019. 2019 was a big year for GOML, as it was the first year to include many other fighting games in it’s events, such as Dragon Ball Fighterz and Street Fighter V. This year was also the first time the event featured a 24 hour venue, so attendees can play friendly matches, or even just hang out playing other video gamesdoing nothing, all night!

Held in Tokyo, Japan, Umebura is a fun event where pro players from the US can take on players from Japan face to face on their home turf. Though 2019 was its first year to get over 1000 attendees, Umebura is only going to grow from here, gaining popularity in the world.

Unfortunately numbers for the prize pool are not revealed, due to restrictions with Japan’s gambling laws also including eSports, preventing players from earning huge sums of prize money.
