10. Little Mac
LIttle Mac in a fighting stance, ready to strike
Little Mac, who ranks tenth on our list, is super annoying. The cause? He has entirely too much power because he can rush you, deal excessive shield damage, and then escape unpunished. Many people simply exclaim, "Just toss him off stage!" but even his recovery is excellent at this point. The fact that he's a pretty easy character to pick up makes this situation worse.

9. Young Link
Young Link ready to slash his opponent
Young Link is more aggravating than Little Mac for various reasons. He doesn't just walk up and start hitting you; instead, he stands back and lobs random projectiles your way, doing a ton of damage because they are out of range to be punished. Similar to Little Mac, what makes this worse is that even beginners may acquire this method because the required skill level is so low.

8. Falco
Image
Falco looking intimidating
Falco is similar to Little Mac and Young Link in that he can choose to hit you face-to-face or remain as far away from you as possible and fling projectiles at you. He also possesses a number of effective melee techniques and a good projectile. The one thing that particularly irritates me is that Falco is what the Smash community refers to as a "cutscene character" or a character that can execute a combo that lasts for an extremely long time. Falco is a challenging character to utilize to the full extent of his abilities, thus I wouldn't suggest him to new players.

Ness lazily holding his baseball bat on his shoulder
Ness is irritating mostly because of one particular action. The action that everyone is familiar with and despises. PK FIRE, PK FIRE, PK FIRE ! We've all played against a ness on quickplay at least once, and I've even fought CPUs who repeatedly used this move. Ness is not a character I would suggest for beginners because of how challenging it is to grasp his recovery and other features of the character.

6. R.O.B.
R.O.B. looking off balance, yet aware of his opponent (opponent being you)
The characters that Smash Players typically rage against are reached at this point in the tier list. Another character who uses both melee moves and projectiles is R.O.B., although this time, his projectiles are ten times more effective than Falco's. Due to ROB's inexperienced nature and low learning ability, I would advise novices to employ him.

5. Mr. Game and Watch
Mr. Game and Watch holding a flag with the number one on it
Mr. Game and Watch is frustrating to play against in contrast to the other characters on this list because of his frame data. He can often launch an attack with plenty of time to dodge your punish and respond to your available options. I wouldn't advise Game and Watch to novice players because his combos are a little difficult to hit and need a lot of practice.

4. MinMin
MinMin with her two weaponized noodle arms
Ah, MinMin. MinMin mixes the projectile and melee elements of other characters, but not in the manner you may anticipate. She attacks the foe with her noodle-shaped arms while maintaining her distance. MinMin is a difficult character to play correctly, thus I wouldn't suggest her to inexperienced players.

3. Pyra and Mythra
Pyra (left) and Mythra (right) standing side by side
Pyra and Mythra is an interesting one, as you can change character styles mid game… by physically changing your character. You can change into a killer character who is either a little bit slower or a very rapid, low frame data character by pressing down and B. I would suggest Pythra to beginners because they are excellent and simple.

2. Kazuya
Kazuya with his demon-eye glowing red
Kazuya is a character that first appeared in Tekken. Despite the fact that he was changed for Smash, it appears as though a Tekken character was taken straight from Tekken and added to Smash without any modifications. Tekken characters are also highly overpowered, in case you didn't know. And Smash clearly illustrates this. Unless you've played Kazuya in Tekken before, I definitely wouldn't suggest Kazuya to a rookie Smash player because Kazuya in Smash requires an extreme degree of skill or complex strategy to succeed.

1. Steve
Steve standing in a nuetral position.. staring. Just staring
In addition to being the most frustrating to play against, Steve is regarded as the best character in Smash Bros. Steve is incredibly simple to do well with, has powerful attacking moves, and has low frame data. Whatever it is, Steve has it. He is a dreadful opponent to play against.
