Choosing the best agents for each map is a necessity - here are some of the agents that work best on each map!
Ascent
Ascent is a fan favorite two site map - being one of the newest maps added into the game it features sharp angles with close-quarter site connections for ultimate levels of gameplay.
Best Agents
- Jett - Jett’s propulsion on this map is amazing because you can use crazy angles and jump over walls to get a hit on the enemy without them seeing it coming.
- Omen - There is a lot of open space in the middle of Ascent, so with Omen’s smokes it can be incredibly helpful to take middle control and move onto a site.
- Cypher - Sometimes a map is large enough as to where you can not have eyes on every single corner. With Cypher’s camera and traps, it will allow any flanking enemies or hiding agents to be spotted with ease.
Haven
Haven is a three site map (A, B, C), it is the only current map with three sites and it features a corresponding three-pronged connection between each side.
Best Agents
- Killjoy - Her defensive abilities on all three sites are amazing and with long hallways, she can stop them dead in their tracks with her turret or grenades.
- Cypher - With three sights your team will be more stretched out than normal. So, it is important to have a Cypher’s camera watching a sight with his traps to better fortify a less defended area of the map.
- Breach - Breach’s abilities are best in long pathways and stopping enemies from getting on sites. Because of the three sites, they can be a bit more compact so his abilities are very useful.
Split
Split’s two sites are on the far left and right sides of the map with a central area that includes high ground dominance for the defending team. It has a more industrial futuristic feel to it and is a heavily defender sided map.
Best Agents
- Reyna - Tight corners and the gun matches will be crucial on this map, having an agent like Reyna who can fire at higher speeds with her ultimate and use her abilities for killing purposes will be important.
- Omen - His smokes are very versatile and on a map where rotation is heavy and there are many angles to hold, they will come in handy
- Sage - Her ice wall and slow orbs are amazing for stopping the enemy on any one of the sites including middle territory
Bind
Bind is a two site map (A and B) that has attackers infiltrating from a beach coast resembling that of a siege on mainland territory. For that reason, there is much more room on the attacker’s side of the map to move around within spawn - but the long pathways to the sites provide optimal defensive tactics.
Best Agents
- Breach - Breach’s abilities are best in long pathways and stopping enemies from getting on sites. A lot of long pathways allows his abilities to be used with ease giving your team the advantage
- Killjoy - Her defensive abilities on both sites are amazing and with long hallways and high ground positions, she can stop them dead in their tracks with her turret or grenades.
- Sage - Her ice wall and slow orbs are amazing for stopping the enemy on any one of the sites including middle territory, but she is also crucial for planting the spike when moving onto A site as to block the enemy from seeing your team.
