Can't wait to join some ZvZ action?
Zerg versus zerg fights are some of the most exciting and thrilling content in Albion Online. Some players even say that ZvZ is the ultimate “endgame” of this game.
While that statement is contestable, only a few will disagree that joining ZvZs lets you enjoy the full PvP experience that Albion Online has to offer.
Are you interested in ZvZs? Do you want to experience the excitement of zerg versus zerg battles?
In this article, you’ll find the top 10 best Albion Online ZvZ weapons you should try.
Best ZvZ Weapons for Each Role
I categorized this list into four different roles since each role offers a different experience and requires a distinct playstyle. I then chose the two best weapons in each category.
The five main roles in ZvZs are Support, Healer, Tank, Melee DPS, and Ranged DPS.
Best Support ZvZ Weapons
10. Malevolent Locus
Locus ZVZ - How To | Albion Online - YouTube
The Malevolent Locus is one of the staple ZvZ weapons in the game. It’s an invaluable support tool to any zerg thanks to its unique skill, The Void (E).
The Void removes all debuffs from your allies within a large area and provides them with increased damage resistance. It also cleanses any CC effects on them.
Although it’s a channeled spell, you are uninterruptible while casting it. This means you can get the full duration of this spell despite enemy CCs (unless you die).
Malevolent Locus is an excellent disengagement weapon as it allows your zerg to fall back and reset without taking too much damage from enemy counterattacks or getting caught by CCs.
Its crucial role in ZvZs is the reason why it’s one of the best overall ZvZ weapons in the game.
What makes Malevolent Locus great:
- Removes debuffs and CC effects: The Void cleanses any debuff and CC on your allies, giving them a chance to escape or set up a counterattack.
- Excellent disengagement weapon: The damage resistance bonus and cleanse from The Void helps your zerg disengage and reset.

9. Enigmatic Staff
Albion Online | ZvZ 18 | Enigmatic - YouTube
Although often outclassed by the Malevolent Locus, the Enigmatic Staff still fills a useful role in ZvZs. Its Protective Beam (E) gives your allies a massive amount of shield that reapplies after every one second, up to a maximum of nine seconds.
Similar to Locus, its primary role is to provide support for your zerg. However, the Enigmatic Staff is more commonly used as a clutch defensive weapon.
Protective Beam is a channeled spell with a relatively short range of 12 meters, leaving you extremely vulnerable while casting it. It also doesn’t remove any debuffs, so its main role is really just to help your allies soak up damage.
Timing is key to being an effective Enigmatic Staff player—a well-timed Protective Beam can save an entire zerg.
It’s a risky and difficult support weapon to use, but it can be extremely rewarding if you manage to pull it off consistently.
What makes Enigmatic Staff great:
- It soaks up a lot of damage: Protective Beam can absorb an immense amount of damage as long as you stay uninterrupted while channeling.
- Decent area of effect: Protective Beam also has a decent area of effect, especially if your teammates are closed to each other.

Best Healer ZvZ Weapons
8. Fallen Staff
[ZVZ] The MOST OP healing ZVZ build in Albion online!! - YouTube
Perhaps the best ZvZ healing weapon in the game, Fallen Staff is never absent in any competent ZvZ composition. It’s one of the staple weapons in any zerg, primarily used as the main zerg healer.
The strength of the Fallen Staff lies in its unmatched AOE burst healing. Salvation (E) provides an unbelievably high amount of healing to allies within a large area, making it an extremely effective ZvZ healing weapon.
Salvation also has the additional effect of cleansing all CCs and debuffs from your allies, further increasing your zerg’s survivability.
Its downside is that it has a two-second charging time on top of its one-second cast time. That’s a total of three-second delay on your heals! This means you have to cast it proactively most of the time.
What makes Fallen Staff great
- High burst healing: Salvation provides a high amount of burst healing to multiple allies.
- Large AOE: Salvation affects a large area and can heal up to 10 allies.

7. Wild Staff
Elevate (110) vs. Baila Ella (95) - Albion Online ZvZ (Wild Staff POV) - YouTube
Similar to the Fallen Staff, Wild Staff also provides good AOE healing for your team. The main difference is that instead of burst healing, this one provides slow healing over time.
Although Fallen Staff is often better due to the high amount of burst heal it provides, slow healing over time remains important in long, drawn-out fights. And this is the main role of the Wild Staff.
The presence of consistent healing from Wild Staff’s Well of Life (E) means that your main Fallen Staff healer can save their burst healing for crucial moments instead.
Aside from the large AOE and high total heal value, another advantage of the Wild Staff is its instant healing effect. Even though it also has a one-second cast time, the healing immediately takes effect after the cast time for everyone within the AOE.
What makes Wild Staff great"
- Consistent healing over time: Your Well of Life provides high, consistent healing over time to multiple allies.
- Large AOE: Similar to Salvation, Well of Life also has a large area of effect and can heal up to 10 allies.

Best Tank ZvZ Weapons
6. Camlann Mace
KILLING 700 ARCH - BROKE BOYS | ALBION ONLINE | ZVZ | CAMLANN POV - YouTube
Camlann Mace is probably the most ZvZ-oriented weapon in the game. This weapon does what you imagine a weapon should do during a chaotic fight between a hundred players.
The Camlann Mace’s Vendetta (E) basically pulls all affected enemies into a small area while dealing damage and stunning them.
Vendetta requires a target to latch on and has a 0.7-second cast time. But due to the chaotic nature of ZvZs, it’s sometimes almost impossible to consistently dodge this skill. Not to mention, it has a long range of 18 meters and a decent pull range of eight meters.
This weapon is primarily played by tanks, so you’re mostly going to be in the front lines, which allows you to land your Vendetta on multiple enemies more easily.
What makes Camlann Mace great:
- Large AOE CC: Vendetta has a large eight-meter AOE that pulls every enemy within the area.
- Long cast range: You can cast Vendetta from a good distance of 18 meters, which gives you more space to find a better position to cast your spell.

5. Grovekeeper
Never Care - ZvZ - Grovekeeper POV - NC (20) vs MARTE (65) vs KARM4 (95) - YouTube
Another amazing tank for ZvZs is the Grovekeeper. As a tank, your role is the same with the Camlann Mace: go in the front lines and CC as many enemies as possible.
What sets Grovekeeper apart from the Camlann is that you’ll more often jump in the middle of the chaos. Camlann Mace’s Vendetta lets it CC from afar, but Grovekeeper does not enjoy the same privilege.
However, this doesn’t mean that it’s worse. Your incredible AOE CC via Ground Pound (E) grants you a commanding impact on the battlefield.
Your overall build will also most likely involve a lot of defensive spells (e.g., Resistance Potions, Guardian Armor, etc.), allowing you to survive much longer in fights despite being on the front lines.
Despite its relatively small AOE, the CC duration and cast distance of Ground Pound are more than enough to cement the weapon’s role as a staple ZvZ tank. There’s a reason why most ZvZ shot callers are Grovekeeper players!
What makes Grovekeeper great:
- Good AOE CC: Ground Pound provides you with a reliable AOE CC for engaging the enemies.
- Decent range: Ground Pound has a decent range of 14 meters, which allows you to jump from a distance for more optimal setups.

Best Ranged DPS ZvZ Weapons
4. Brimstone Staff
Albion Online | Brimstone POV | ZvZ 20 - YouTube
Brimstone Staff is one of the most fun ranged DPS weapons in the game. Additionally, it’s also one of the most lethal.
Brimstone Staff’s Meteor (E) is a large AOE nuke that deals massive damage to anyone it hits. As its name implies, Meteor calls upon a meteor from the skies that hits the target area after two seconds.
This weapon has a very straightforward playstyle. All you have to do is cast your Meteor on the clump of enemies and watch them die in the process.
Due to the two-second cast time of Meteor, you’ll most likely need some setup from your team to use it effectively. But once you hit a good clump, you’re guaranteed to kill at least a few enemies.
What makes Brimstone Staff great:
- Massive AOE burst damage: Your Meteor deals an insane amount of burst damage within a large area.
- Good distance and cooldown: Even though Meteor has a 30-second cooldown, it’s a fairly good number considering its potential damage output.

3. Energy Shaper
Albion Online Drums vs WARS ZVZ energy shaper pov - YouTube
The role of the ranged DPS in ZvZs is to stay far away back as possible from the enemy while also dealing enough damage to them. Guess what? That’s exactly what Energy Shaper is good at.
Divine Engine (E) has an unbeatable range of 26 meters! This lets you clap your enemies while also being relatively safe from harm.
Aside from its insane range, Divine Engine also pierces through enemies and deals high damage over time. The longer you hit the enemy, the more damage they take.
You can also move your cursor while channeling the beam, which allows you to adjust your aim so you can hit more enemies.
What makes Energy Shaper great:
- Extremely long range: Divine Engine has a maximum range of 26 meters, which is one of the longest ranged skills in the game.
- High DOT: Divine Engine pierces through your enemies, allowing you to hit enemy clumps with maximum damage.

Best Melee DPS ZvZ Weapons
2. Realmbreaker
SURF X [16X13] - Full Fight Territory ofensive - RealmBreaker/Quebra-Reinos - Albion Online - ZvZ - YouTube
Melee DPS plays a crucial but difficult role in ZvZs. Unlike all the other roles, you’re more likely to die as you’ll often be in the middle of the enemy zerg.
You don’t enjoy the luxury of dealing damage while being far away like ranged DPS does, but you also aren’t as durable as your zerg’s tanks who wear plate armors.
Fortunately, this doesn’t make melee DPS any less important. Melee weapons are some of the strongest damage-dealing weapons in ZvZs—as long as you know what you’re doing.
Realmbreaker’s Aftershock (E) can deal incredible damage to an enemy clump. It has high initial damage coupled with a 20% max and current HP reduction. A successful Aftershock followed up by another decent AOE burst will net your zerg plenty of kills.
What makes Realmbreaker great:
- High damage AOE: Aftershock deals incredible damage in a small area and knocks all enemies hit in the air.
- High-impact debuff: The max and current health reduction from your Aftershock can be lethal when taken advantage of by your other DPS.

1. Bridled Fury
Albion Online ZvZ Montage 28 Bridled Fury Edition - YouTube
Last on this list is the Bridled Fury, one of the best group melee DPS in the game. It’s one of the few melee weapons in the game that can deal insane amounts of damage to a large group of people. And it’s all thanks to Merciless Finish (E).
Merciless Finish deals massive damage to a cone in front of you. Its damage is dependent on the number of Assassin Spirit Charges on you, dealing almost as much damage as Brimstone Staff’s Meteor if you have maximum (3) stacks!
This skill also pushes you backward by eight meters, helping keep you out of harm’s way. Due to this mechanic and your good mobility, you aren’t as susceptible to death as much as other melee DPS.
The only downside is you have to stack up your charges first to deal maximum damage. But that shouldn’t be a problem as long as you know how to properly use your Assassin Spirit (Q3).
What makes Bridled Fury great:
- Insane AOE damage: Using Merciless Finish with maximum Assassin Spirit charges deals almost as much damage as Meteor.
- Good mobility: The backward push from Merciless Finish plus the Dagger tree’s mobility allows you to survive longer and maneuver better in fights.
