Blued Up!
Don’t be surprised if most defense teams you see in the game include Ice heroes in their lineup - the element definitely has a wide array of almighty heroes ready and willing to prove to you their worth anytime, anywhere! From powerful healers to glorious fiend-slayers to merciless attackers, you name it, the Blues have it. Here’s another batch of Empires and Puzzles Best Blue Heroes That Are Powerful.
10. Gunnar Costume
Doesn’t miss arm day, this one
The first in our list is one of the most useful heroes you’ll ever deploy during 3* Tournaments, and boy does Gunnar Costume deserve that distinction!
His Steel Link allows all enemies to share damage while also giving them -44% defense… for 5 whole turns! We all know how devastating defense down in this game is, so his skill is just brutal to enemies considering how easy it’ll be for Gunnar’s teammates to off them one by one, either through tile damage or use of their own Special Skills. Definitely a fantastic hero through and through!
What Makes Gunnar Costume Great:
- Awesome to use during 3* Tournaments
- Makes all enemies share damage with each other
- Gives all enemies -44% defense for 5 turns
9. Captain of Diamonds
What long locks you have, Captain!
Ah, minions. Their summoners are usually one of the more annoying heroes to encounter in the game, so good thing we have a minion killer from the Ice element in the form of Captain of Diamonds!
His Pest Control is very aptly named considering his goal in life is to destroy those little beasts. Firstly, he destroys all minions from his target before dealing them 260% damage - so they can’t even use the critters as meat shields in the first place. But what’s awesome about his skill is that his single target attack may become multiple target attacks if more than one of his enemies has minions! So him attacking everyone in one go? Possible. At Fast Mana Speed, too!
What Makes Captain of Diamonds Great:
- Destroys all minions from a target
- Deals 260% damage to the target
- Attacks another enemy with minions
- Has Fast Mana Speed
8. Xiahou Dun
Ready for Battle!
One of the newer heroes in the game, Xiahou Dun is a hybrid minion summoner and dispeller - except it’s his minions who do the dispelling for him!
His Qilin Blade, at Fast Mana Speed, deals 355% damage to the target - and that’s not all. He then summons a Wei Soldier Minion for himself and his nearby allies, but what makes these tiny heroes awesome is that they dispel all dispellable buffs from their target per hit - meaning their enemies may not enjoy any special buffs on their person for as long as Xiahou Dun is alive and summoning them. Dispellers are always welcomed in every lineup, so having this hero is like having an army of them fighting for you!
What Makes Xiahou Dun Great:
- Has Fast Mana Speed
- Deals 355% damage to the target
- Summons a minion for himself and nearby allies that dispels buffs from their target per hit
7. Azmia
Azmia the Almighty!
Azmia, like Xiahou Dun, is a hybrid hero capable of two things at once. She heals her team then allows most of them to counter enemy attacks!
First, her Counterstance recovers 20% health for all allies. Its next effect, however, gives her and her nearby allies the ability to counterattack with 120% of the damage received for 4 turns, which gradually increases by +5% per each counterattack - for the max amount of 150%. Not bad, girl!
Then there’s her Passive Skill as a Dunes hero; after casting her Special Skill, Azmia has a 60% chance to boost the health of all her allies by 10% and/or cleanse the latest cleansable ailment from all allies, making her a good healer to include in your team. And you should, if you have her!
What Makes Azmia Great:
- Recovers 20% health for all allies
- Gives herself and nearby allies the ability to counterattack with 120% damage for 4 turns which can increase to 150%
- Passive Skill gives her a 60% chance to boost the health of all her allies by 10% and/or cleanse the latest cleansable ailment from all allies.
6. Esme
Her beauty’s definitely Esmesmerizing!
With so many fiend summoners running rampant nowadays, we’re in dire need of a hero or two who can get rid of them with ease. Fortunately, the Ice element has one in the form of our girl Esme!
Her skill, simply titled Fiendslayer, is the bane of all fiends considering it can utterly destroy them without question. And that first step’s important, as most fiends eat healing for breakfast! After annihilating these pesky critters, Esme then heals her allies for 40% health - and if they had Fiends when Esme used her skill, then they’ll be immune to new Fiends for 4 turns afterward. You can definitely say Esme’s the direct answer to problems named Elizabeth et. al!
What Makes Esme Great:
- Destroys all fiends from allies
- Heals all allies for 40% health
- Makes allies immune to new fiends for 4 turns if they had fiends
5. Iris
The Blue Eye has it!
We adore dispellers considering how useful they are - so loving Iris and all she does feels very natural!
Her Erase Strength easily makes her a god-tiered dispeller. It deals 325% damage to the target and minor damage to nearby enemies, but what makes it fantastic is that it dispels buffs from them all at the end of each turn for 3 turns! That means you don’t have to wait for a mana gauge to fill before being able to dispel buffs; Iris’s just happens automatically. Bonus points since she deals extra damage against Fire, which is naturally weak to Ice in the first place! And all these good stuff happen at Fast Mana Speed, too! It might not take long until all the heroes on the enemy side are being dispelled of their buffs without much prompting from your team, all thanks to Iris!
What Makes Iris Great:
- Deals 325% damage to the target and minor damage to nearby enemies
- Dispels their buffs at the end of each turn for 3 turns
- Deals extra damage against Fire
- Has Fast Mana Speed
4. King Arthur
Braids of Might and Power
Our list today won’t be complete if we don’t have a hero that’s good to use when fighting Titans. Luckily, we have His Highness to rectify that!
King Arthur’s Excalibur deals 468% damage to a target and gives them -39% attack as well as -54% defense against Ice for 4 turns - making him phenomenal to include in a hero lineup for fighting Titans, and among a group who can exploit the heck out of the elemental defense down he gives. What’s more, every time his Special Skill is unleashed, it gives him +74% defense against Special Skills for 4 turns, which makes him quite an ideal Tank whether he’s facing Titans or regular-sized enemies… all in the name of Camelot!
What Makes King Arthur Great:
- Good to use against Titans
- Deals 468% damage to the target
- Gives the target -39% attack and -54% defense against Ice for 4 turns
- Gives himself +74% defense against Special Skills for 4 turns
3. Rian
Armored to the Core!
Rian’s another interesting hybrid hero - a cleanser and attacker, all in one!
His Cleansing Determination, as the name suggests, cleanses status ailments from all allies before dealing his enemies 180% damage. Amazingly, the more status effect he removes from his team, the higher his damage becomes - maxing at 340% in total. Woah! With him on your team, you might just be tempted to make all your team suffer through the agony of status effects before letting Rian do his thing - all in the name of victory!
What Makes Rian Great:
- Cleanses status ailments from all allies
- Deals 180% damage to all enemies
- Damage can go up to 340% depending on how many status effects were removed from his allies
2. Aegir
Serve and Protect at All Costs!
You’ve probably seen this guy a lot on the battlefield as part of a defense team, and that’s for a very valid reason!
Aegir’s Icy Resilience is all about damage sharing in the best way. Aside from his team sharing damage for 3 turns, they also get +30% defense and get to heal 100% of normal damage dealt for the same amount of turns, too! That ability just screams defensive hero and players who have him will be wise to heed this call!
What Makes Aegir Great:
- Makes all allies share damage with each other for 3 turns
- Gives all allies +30% defense for 3 turns
- All allies heal 100% of dealt normal damage for 3 turns
1. Cao Cao
Misty eyes mean trouble!
If you love Xiahou Dun, you’ll definitely love his Legendary counterpart, Cao Cao - heck, we all do!
His Order to Overwhelm is just a ton of problems for the enemy especially if they’re Fire-flavored. First, it deals 275% damage to all enemies, and extra damages are dealt to Fire foes. Second, it summons a Wei Soldier Minion for all of Cao Cao’s allies. Third, like Xiahou Dun’s pets, Cao Cao’s minions also do that special thing where each hit from them dispels all dispellable buffs from their target. And considering all of his allies will have this critter with them the moment he uses his Special Skill? It just spells trouble with a capital T!
