When we talk about interiors, we talk about habitat modules - these modules can be purchased to add more rooms to your ship—an armory, captain’s quarters, or maybe a cargo hall. Each module has its uses and gives your ship more functionality, space, and elegance.
Now that we know what we’re gonna talk about, let’s get started with the article, shall we?
10. Stroud Brig 2x2
Useless but fancy.
The BRIG is there to look fancy. It has a few storages where you can dump your weapons and other items but it doesn’t have anything more than that. It’s just there to give more life to your ship, filled with windows, openable doors, and cool aesthetics.
Features of this module:
- 2x weapon rack
- Weapon case
- Ammo case

9. Deimos Living Quarters 2x2
Elegant and spacey.
This is also another HAB module that makes your ship look a bit more presentable, in times when you’re not trying to fight off multiple ships trying to split your ship in half. It’s pretty much just a room to chill out in, contemplate your life choices, and generally rest from the troubles of playing Starfield.
Features of this HAB module:
- 10 storage boxes
- (I know it doesn’t seem like much but there are also plenty of cool decors and eye-pleasing aesthetics)

8. Taiyo Engineering Bay 3x1 Bottom A
Another “crucial” module for your ship.
Well, not really. This is yet another module that only serves as a decoration for your ship. You can also have more companions on your ship thanks to this module but there are better ways for that. When it comes to engineering HAB modules, they’re filled with fancy pipes, monitors, and random pipes sticking out of pipes, to convince you that you’re in the engineering section of the ship… Looks cool but Starfield devs didn’t give any purpose to this module.
Features of this HAB module:
- 150 storage crates
- 10 storage boxes
7. Stroud Armory 2x1
Plenty of stuff in here.
The point of the armory in your ship is to accumulate the weaponry that you’ve scavenged from outposts or corpses(that you’ve left behind, of course). There are 10 armories to pick from but I chose this one because of its interior design - it has many features and you can have respectable storage for eternity.
What are the features of this habitat module?
- WEAPON RACK
- 5X BACKPACK STAND
- 6x WEAPON CASE
- 2X HELMET DISPLAY
- STORAGE BOX (10)

6. Taiyo Battle Stations 2x2 Bottom A
Makes your ship look 10 times more professional!
There is not much of a difference when it comes to picking the right battle station - all of them have the same features, which means the only difference is in the visuals and general aesthetics. The way I see it, this module looks the most unique - multiple monitors scattered on panels, servers and the general vibe of the room makes you feel like you’re the captain of some badass ship.
What features you can expect from this HAB module:
- Navigation Console
- Storage box(10)

5. Stroud Captain's Quarters 2x1
I’m the Captain now.
The Captain’s Nest is the section with the navigation console, with which you can travel from point A to point B. The vibe of this place is supposed to make you feel like you’re in charge of the ship but to be honest, it’s just a place filled with storage, safes, and other objects. The most important part of this is the navigation console.
The features that you can expect from this HAB module:
- NAVIGATION CONSOLE
- STORAGE BOX (10)
- COOLER (10)
- SAFE (40)

4. HopeTech Cargo Hall 3x3
For storing your precious items.
As the name suggests, it’s the cargo hall. It’s where you store most of your items, the ones that you’ve looted from various planets, outposts, caves, corpses, and many more shady locations. It’s hard to fill up these cargos entirely and most likely you’ll end up selling all of the garbage to a local vendor. It’s also worth adding that the Silent Runner is one of the greatest ships for storing items, due to its massive cargo capacity.
The features of this module:
- 150 storage crates
- 10 storage boxes

3. Nova Galactic Mess Hall 3x2
NOM NOM NOM
It’s pretty self-explanatory, this is where you eat your veggies and make sure you don’t starve to death. You can cook here, put your stuff in a freezer and chill. The module’s interior is beautiful, thanks to its lamps illuminating rooms with blue lights, giving a warm feeling. Another thing is the fact that everything looks neat and orderly - the chairs are in a neat row and you don’t see any useless items floating around, the design is minimalistic, fair to say.
The features of this module:
- Cooking station
- x10 coolers

2. Nova Galactic Science Lab 2x1
No, you can’t cook meth here.
In this specific module, you can cook your food, as well as create medicine. Unfortunately, you’re not allowed to create drugs and get high, perhaps when the modding community kicks in, you’ll be able to create various “candies” that will convince you to enter a vacuum without your spacesuit. The area looks pretty sci-fi and should make you feel like a doctor, even though you’re not.
Features of the science lab:
- Cooking station
- Pharmaceutical lab
- Research bench
- Storage box

1. Taiyo Workshop 2x1 Top B
The last one.
The Workshop area is mainly used to create or upgrade weapons and create or improve spacesuits, as well as make outpost components to name a few. I believe it’s one of the most crucial habitat modules to have, mostly because of its crafting potential. Other than that, you can also store some of your resources and use them to craft things later.
The features of this habitat module:
- Industrial Workbench
- Spacesuit workbench
- Weapon workbench
- 10 storage boxes
