[Top 10] Starfield Best Quests Every Player Should Do

The fun ones!

Starfield has some quests worth doing - they’re not my cup of tea, I always went straight to the outpost and made my credits/exp that way. Still, it doesn’t change the fact that this game has some fun and rewarding quests that can grant you some useful items.

This article will discuss quests offering useful items, such as weapons, armor, packs, ships, and other things. Without further ado, let’s begin with the first article:

10. Space Frog From Outer Space

A silly quest.

Somewhere in Cydonia, if you wander long enough, you’re gonna stumble upon a little girl named Renee - she’s sitting on the ground. The player can interact with her and start a quest in which you’re supposed to put 6 posters around the underground city. Upon completing the quest, you are rewarded with…

12 credits and the ability to decorate your outposts with her adorable drawings. It’s one of those quests that steer you off the grind for a bit and allow you to do something silly for once, perhaps you’ll even feel good about yourself!

9. Tourists Go Home

Another “wtf” quest.

This time, one scientist named Guliana Lakota was sick of tourists wandering off into the depths of Titan or getting hurt by industrial machinery, so she decided to come up with a new way of resolving this issue - sewing a weird, monster-looking costume to scare off the tourists. Surprisingly, it works, the hardest part is finding the tourists but once you’re near them, they’ll start running!

After successfully scaring the tourists, go to the doctor, and you’ll receive 1800 credits but your costume is automatically taken away - if you want to keep it, you need to complete this mission 3 times in a row, keep in mind that this quest has a 48 UT time cooldown.

8. In Memoriam

Sarah and her magical eyes.

This quest lets you have Sarah Morgan as a romantic partner, assuming that you like her and want to engage in a long quest. Before you can start this quest though, you’ll have to build a relationship with Sarah, whether it’s looking around outposts, shooting bandits or just flying around.

Without spoiling too much, Sarah Morgan in the past, before the Constellation,  used to be a combatant who underwent tragic circumstances that were out of her control and did the best she could out of the worst situation. It’s pretty emotional as you progress :<

7. Sabotage

Welcome to Neon.

Have you ever wanted to be a corporate rat? Well, here’s your chance, Sabotage is one of the quests that you get after being accepted by the Ryujin Industries Corp. It’s a money-hungry, devilish organization that prioritizes wealth above all else - you will steal, manipulate, and even kill if necessary.

But what does this specific quest give you? It gives you a unique helmet and apparel, which makes you harder to detect by 25%. It’s perfect for those who like to use suppressed weapons and chameleon backpacks and one of the reasons why I love this quest - you can finish it in two ways, either killing everything in sight or getting through undetected/manipulating people with the Neuroamp chip stuck in your brain. Good times!

6. Mantis

*rabid praying mantis sounds*

You can get this quest by killing a random Spacer and looting a note that says “Secret Outpost!”. After that, you’ll travel to Denebola I-B, which is an outpost occupied by Spacers of various levels - you shouldn’t worry too much though, you can finish this quest while being level 5.

The Mantis is a bandit that instilled fear into the hearts of those who happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time or those who tried to offer a challenge. Now, you have an opportunity to unlock this ship but be careful, you’ll have to fight through dozens of Spacers, then robots and turrets that will kill you instantly, unless you complete a puzzle. After all the hassle, you get:

  • The Razorleaf
  • Legendary spacesuit and helmet

5. First Contact

Don’t. Touch. The. Reactor.

This is an interesting quest that can reward you with a cool-looking pistol called XM-2311 with interesting mods or nothing if you are too much of a greedy psychopath. This quest challenges your moral compass, whether you want to authentically help a group of stranded people who have been floating in space for over 2 centuries or annihilate them for a few thousand credits…

In any case, you can do this quest in 3 ways, either:

  • Purchase the GravDrive for the ECS Constant
  • Taking the crew to Porrima II
  • Destroying the reactor

4. Groundpounder

Constant action.

Did you guys watch Rambo IV? Do you remember the last scene? This quest is pretty much that, it is constant combat between you and a hundred rabid Spacers who are just refusing to stop attacking an outpost belonging to the Freestar Collective.

This quest begins after you pick up the distress call from Pvt. Mahoney or directly visiting Aranae IV-A, it’s a long journey of you gunning down Spacers on the ground, as well as in space. Dogfights in space seem easy but you can be easily outnumbered and destroyed if not careful.

The reward is also attractive - The Peacekeeper, which is a rare rifle that you get at the end of this quest. It’s surprisingly powerful and equipped with 4 mods:

  • Long barrel
  • Laser sight
  • Reflex sight
  • Ergonomic Stock

3. Eye Of The Storm

REVENANT!

Frankly, the only thing that I care about is the weapon, which is the Revenant. The quest itself I found pretty dull but if you’re interested in getting one of the greatest weapons in the game, then I highly advise you to do this quest until you reach the objective “Locate the Vault Control Center” objective. The Revenant is going to be on a desk next to Kryx himself, who has been deceased for a very, very long time.

The Revenant itself is known for its high rate of fire, as well as the bleed effect, which deals extra damage as time progresses. The weapon weighs as much as nothing, plus it has a massive magazine capacity. It is, hands-down, one of the best IF not the best weapon in the game!

2. Legacy’s End

The goodies or the baddies.

This quest decides whether you join the Crimson Fleet or the United Colonies, after being a double agent for both factions for quite a long time. In my opinion, it’s always better to join the Crimson Fleet, as you have access to a station with vendors, as well as valuable ship parts for sale.

But the most important thing is the reward, which is 250,000 credits at the end of this quest, it doesn’t matter if you side with the CF or UC, all that matters is finishing this quest. Once you do, well, you can buy yourself a nice ship!

1. Overdesigned

Kepler is here.

This quest lets you get 2 ship variants - either Kepler R or Kepler S. Kepler S is worse - lower stats, crappy weapons, and mediocre cargo hold, while Kepler R is far more expensive and generally more appealing in terms of cargo capacity - it’s capable of hauling loads of items from system to system, which is great for farming credits.

But the most important thing about this quest is doing the dialogue right, let me explain how it works:

  • Start “Overdesigned”
  • Go to the Narion system/Stroud-Euklund Staryard
  • Conversate with Jules Degante
  • Pick: “We can build whatever we want with a larger budget. Let's go with the "kitchen sink" proposal.”
  • Pick: “The only fair thing to do is to make everyone give up one compromise.”
  • Speak with Walter back at the Lodge
