[Top 5] Starfield Best Jetpacks (Ranked)

Useful for jumping around like a bunny.

Jetpacks, also known as boost packs, are used to jump higher distances, although for a short period. The positive is the fact that they regenerate rather quickly and you can jump around pretty often with short breaks in between.

Useful for climbing rocks, and exploring, sometimes it proves to be decent in combat or just running away from creatures that wanna eat your face. Anyway, let’s start with the first boost pack!

5. Mercenary Pack

For starters.

Mercenary Pack is a jetpack equipped with a basic boost, which means that you’ll only be able to fly around for a mediocre amount of time. Although it’s not the greatest boost pack out there, you can travel a lot faster than just walking around by using this jetpack, all you have to do is press the space bar and try to stay above the ground as long as possible while holding the W button.

Why it’s good:

  • It’s not that expensive, around 6000 credits
  • Useful for escaping random creatures trying to brutally maul you to death
  • Also not that hard to acquire(you can get it from Spacer Scum)

Stats:

  • PHYS: 60
  • Corrosive: 0
  •  ENGY: 68
  • Airborne: 20
  • EM: 64
  • Radiation: 10
  • Thermal: 0

You can get it from vendors or just Space Scum, which are bandits.

4. Deep Mining Boostpack

It doesn’t have to do much with mining.

This boost pack is not recommended for direct combat but for more sneaky approaches, thanks to its Chameleon effect, which makes you harder to spot, you can easily get out of combat and wreak havoc more discreetly.

Why this boost pack is great:

  • The chameleon effect
  • Okayish starts for beginners
  • Good for sneaking around

Stats:

  • Physical: 34
  • Corrosive: 10
  • Energy: 18
  • Airborne: 20
  • EM: 26
  • Radiation: 0
  • Thermal: 0

You can get it from science crates or enemy drops(Spacer, Spacer Punk, Spacer Troublemaker, etc)

3. UC Shock Armor Skip Pack

Another one!

This thing also has impressive stats but it also recharges its energy faster than most boost packs, which enables you to fly more frequently. It’s also not that expensive, totally worth its price if you value survival. You can primarily withstand plenty of physical, energy, and electromagnetic damage.

Why this boost pack is awesome:

  • Recharges its energy faster
  • It’s pretty cheap for its stats, costs around 6,000-7000 credits
  • Even if you get your head kicked in, you can still use this boost pack to escape

Stats:

  • Physical: 72
  • Corrosive: 10
  • Energy: 56
  • Airborne: 20
  • EM: 64
  • Radiation: 0
  • Thermal: 0

You can get it during a quest called “Hostile Intelligence” from Lt. Azevedo.

2. Mantis Pack

Goes well with the Mantis Helmet.

This is my favorite boost pack, it looks pretty cool to have on your back and it also has some impressive stats that will keep your character safe. It has a few effects that improve your survivability, like the Chameleon, for example - it makes your character blend into the environment, making you hard to spot.

Why this boost pack is awesome:

  • Improved carry capacity
  • Lesser oxygen consumption
  • The stats are decent in general

Stats:

(Resistances)

  • Physical: 47
  • Corrosive: 0
  • Energy: 55
  • Airborne: 5
  • EM: 51
  • Radiation: 20
  • Thermal: 5

1. Mark I Pack

Another cool boost pack!

Mark I is also one of my favorite boost packs, primarily because of its stats, which can make you unbelievably tanky in situations that can get out of hand quickly. Even if you get tired of it, you can still sell it for plenty of credit.

Why this boost pack works:

  • Very impressive stats, hindered only by its lack of effects
  • Performs greatly in direct combat, in situations where you’re outnumbered
  • It’s visually appealing as well, it doesn’t look dumb

Stats:

  • Physical: 66
  • Corrosive: 5
  • Energy: 64
  • Airborne: 5
  • EM: 68
  • Radiation: 0
  • Thermal: 20

The boost pack is found on a mannequin behind a closed glass casket in the basement of The Lodge. You won’t be able to open it until you get your Security Skill to level 3.
