[Top 5] Starfield Best Places To Build Ships

Stay safe out there.

If you don’t want to be permanently stuck on a planet, you need a ship - the first one you get is the Frontier but after a while, you’ll realize how lackluster it is. Other reasons why you need a ship are for self-defense, as well as transporting cargo, whether legal or contraband.

And there are specific vendors scattered across the systems that sell remarkable ship parts that improve the quality of your ship. Without further ado, let’s begin with this article:

5. Stroud-Eklund Staryard Ship Technician

Narwhals, Narwhals, swimming in the ocean…

This ship technician can be found in the Narion system, which is pretty close to the Alpha Centauri system. It’s a station orbiting the Deepala planet and you can buy pretty unique ship parts there, some are solely for decorative purposes, while others will help you stay intact during combat.

But the most important thing is the fact that you can buy one of the best ships in the game(if not the best…) - the Narwhal. It’s a cargo ship that’s also pretty decent when it comes to staying alive for prolonged periods during combat.

4. The Den Ship Services Technician

The Mother’s Den.

This vendor in my opinion is a jack of all trades, you will find something good in every tab every once in a while. There’s also a good list of ships that you can buy, some of them are offensive and cargo-focused, so if you want to go on a little shopping spree, the Den is the place to go.

Besides, you can only go to the Den to sell contrabands - it has the best vendors if you want to get rid of your contrabands ASAP!

3. Crimson Fleet Ship Services Technician

Yar-har.

To be more specific, this vendor is located in The Key. You might have to do some quests to unlock this area but once you do, keep going straight through the depot till you stumble upon Jasmine Durand - she sells some unique CF ships, as well as shielded cargo, which is CRUCIAL if you want to travel with contrabands on your ship.

The contrabands can be sold after you’ve managed to pass a security check before landing on a planet - there’s a chance, depending on how much-shielded cargo you have, to be arrested and have the contrabands removed from your inventory.

2. Deimos Ship Services Technician

In the OG system!

To reach Nikau the ship technician, you’ll have to travel to the Sol system, after which you’ll have to land on Deimos, which orbits Mars. Nikau and other Deimos ship vendors are known for their military-oriented ship designs which prioritize combat above all else.

That’s why you should travel here if your ship has outdated or lackluster missile launchers, or ballistic or laser weapons. You can seriously get some serious toys here, whether your ship is class A, B, or C.

1. The Red Line Ship Services Technician

Don’t talk to the guards…

After you enter the Red Mile, keep going straight and then right into the office of a guy named Lon Anderssen. He’s pretty depressed, wearing a wifebeater and he likes to talk like he’s about to die. While he’s miserable, I haven’t seen a vendor with as many ship parts as him, be it weapons, reactors, shields, structures - you name it, he has it!

And they’re not just some random, fancy parts - you come here if you want to find some useful replacements for your current ship modules, let it be class A, B, or C. The best vendor out there!
