Elsword Character Tier List [Strongest and Weakest Characters Revealed]

The El Gang

If you’ve played Elsword as long as I have, you'd know that gauging the strongest from the weakest isn't that easy. In order to figure this out, we need to look at the characters' roles within the dungeon. Roles such as DPS (Damage Per Second), SUP (Support), or both.

In Elsword, especially during raids, you need a healthy balance of DPS to SUP characters. And not just any old characters either. Some DPS and SUP characters are better than the rest.

What are DPS characters? These are characters who deal mass amounts of Damage towards the Boss Monster. These characters also take on the brunt of the damage dealt towards them by the Boss Monster.

And SUP characters are those who focus their time and energy healing their party and/or buffing. There's also SUP characters who focus on Freezing the Boss Monster movements which allow the DPS characters to deal constant damage without receiving backlash.

Now that that's been explained, let’s get to the tier list. We’re going to be rating the DPS and SUP from S tier to C tier. Also take into account that every raid is different, just because one character is great for the Berthe Raid doesn't mean they are great for the Ran Raid etc.

 

Starting with S Tier we have:

1. Character Name: Chung 
    Class Name: Dius Aer
    Role: SUP/DPS
    Score: 100/100

Chung The Guardian, Dius Aer

Dius Aer is a result of Chung helping people in need with a pure heart. And during a fierce battle his guardian stone shined bright and he transformed and soar into the sky as if an angel.

He is a key player when it comes to raids, Dius Aer supports his teammates with buffs and attaches debuffs on Boss Monster, along with helpful skills for gaining MP and HP back.

Dius Aer Skills: 

• Holy Declaration: A skill that provides a 20% Physical Attack buff and Super Armor for 12s, with a 22 second Cooldown.
• Holy Grail: A Buffs that heals 2.4% - 18% HP/MP for 5 seconds, with a 22 seconds Cooldown.
• Feather Crest: A Buff that provides a 26% Movement and Jump Speed along with a 19.5% Action Speed Buff.
• Brave Cover: A Buff that connects to one ally Which transfers the damage taken by that ally to Dius Aer but reduced by 40%, and Dius Aer also get 30% Damage Reduction. It also grants both Super Armor for 8 seconds with a 7 second Cooldown.

2. Character Name: Aisha
    Class Name: Lord Aozth
    Role: SUP
    Score: 100/100

Aisha The Magician, Lord Azoth

Lord Aoztth is a result of Aisha learning about the Philosopher's Stone and creates one after many dangerous experiments. Dedication to her craft, Aisha decides to fuse with the Philosopher's Stone and is reborn as the immortal Lord Azoth.

She is relied upon for buffs for her party members and debuffs on the Boss Monster.

Lord Azoth skills:

• Philosopher’s Stone: A Buff that provides 10% Physical/Magical Attack for 15 seconds and provides Consumable items a 15 second Cooldown 8 seconds.
• Compatibility: A Debuff that gives 10% Increased Damage to Enemies with Poison for 15s.
• Refined: A Buff/Debuff that gives a -10% Physical/Magical Defense for 25 seconds with a 8 second Cooldown, +10% All Skill Damage for 25 seconds with a 8 second Cooldown, and Cleanse 1 Ally Debuff.
• Mystic Flask: A Buff that spawns a random colored flask that can be picked up by allies.
•           White: Grants +30% Size, +10% Critical Damage for 30 seconds
•           Blue: Grants -30% Size, 30 MP per second, for 30 seconds
•           Yellow: Grants Super Armor for 20 seconds
•           Purple: Puts you in the state of Confusion for 2 seconds
• Envelopes: A field that provides a 20% Damage Reduction Buff which lasts for 10 seconds with a 15 second Cooldown.

3. Character Name: Laby
    Class Name: Twins Picaro
    Role: DPS
    Score: 100/100

Laby The Mysterious Child, Twins Picaro

Twins Picaro is a result of a monster invasion leaving Laby injured and to protect herself, she became rebellious and aggressive. Together with Nisha, they use their overwhelming power to beat all sorts of enemies to bring about their dream wonderland.

She is a DPS character who doesn’t specialize in party buff skills and debuffs. Her skills are used to deal damage and/or Buffing herself alone. 

These skills are usually used:

• Broom Broom: A Self Buff that provides Twins Picaro with a Super Armor effect and increasing her Damage by 1.2 times. Enemies enter the Groggy state when colliding with her. This skill has a 4 second Cooldown.
• Caramel: Is a skill  Mud that remains for 2.5 seconds. Enemies within the range of the Mud will have their movement speed decreased significantly and cannot jump by 70% with a 4 second Cooldown.
• Rawr: A Self Buff that provides a 125% Damage increase for 60 seconds with a 14 second Cooldown.

4. Character Name: Add
    Class Name: Dominator
    Role: SUP/DPS
    Score: 100/100

Add The Tracer, Dominator

Dominator is a result of Add experimenting on his Dynamo, through his research he found a new power that allows him to control and summon an army of drones at his disposal.

He is helpful but rarely seen in raid dungeons.

His skills are: 

• Force Field: A Buff that provides 13.8% Physical Attack and 13.8% Damage Reduction for 20 seconds with a 15 second Cooldown.
• Install - Zero Kelvin Generator: (Debuff) 19.5% Damage Taken for 10 seconds when cast w/3DMP, 17 second Cooldown.
• Install - Drone Activator: (Debuff) -21.5% Physical/Magical Defense for 14.4 seconds with a 7 second Cooldown.

5. Character Name: Ara
    Class Name: Surya
    Role: SUP/DPS

Ara the Martial Artist, Surya

Surya is a result of Ara accepting the holy beast's true power and accepting that her helping others helps in her path of returning her brother Ran to her as well.

Mostly used as a Buffer and/or Freezer for Sup instead of DPS.

Surya’s skills are:

• Wishing Star: A Buff that provides 15% Magical Attack for 30 seconds with a 14 second Cooldown.
• Phoenix Wings: A Buff that provides 1.2 - 18% Hp/Mp for 5 seconds with a 22 second Cooldown and a 1.2% Base Value plus, Additional 1.2% per 400 thousand Combat Power the max being 5.6 Million Combat Power.
• Turtle Stance 4: Barrier: A Buff that provides 20% Damage Reduction for 30 seconds with a 8 second Cooldown.
• Glacial Breath: A Debuff Freezes enemies for 5 seconds with a  17 second Cooldown.

Elesis The Red Knight, Adrestia

Adrestia is a result of Elesis slowly merging with the Sword of El becoming the next El Lady but not as the same who manages and maintains the Power of El but as one who fights mighty enemies and protects Elrios.

She is a DPS who used these skills:

• Outburst: A Debuff that provides 10% Magical Damage Taken for 15 seconds with a 21 second Cooldown.
• Elimination: Debuff that provides a -20% Magical Defense for 10 seconds with a 22 second Cooldown.
• Unbroken Belief: A Buff provides 20% Damage Reduction for allies in the field for 10 seconds with a 15 second Cooldown

    Class Name: Demersio

LuCiel, Duo of Demons , Demersio

Demersio is a result of Ciel receiving fatal wounds from on-going assaults from demon assassins, Lu wanting to save his life attempts another soul contract but loses her sense of emotions because of the taxing nature of the contract.

Their skills together are:

• Aura of Punishment: A Buff that provides 23% Critical/Critical Damage for 20 seconds with a 10 second Cooldown..
• Infernal Hands: Debuff that gives 20% Physical/Magical Defense Decrease for 6 seconds with a 14 second Cooldown.

Raven The Maercenary, Revenant

Revenant is a result of Raven destroying his Nasod Arm with Alterasia to get away completely from the Mind Control Device, however Alterasia's venom was spreading and almost resulted in his death. Thankfully the Ponggos found him and gave him armor that slowed down the venom's spread.

His skills are:

• Path of the Dead: This skill inflicts all nearby enemies with Stage 3 Valasia Seed and creates one Soul Tracer per Special Active use, based on the hit on V key for 10 seconds with a 30 second Cooldown.
• Soul Crash: Debuff that is +9% Critical Damage Taken.
• Sprout: Debuff that Increases Physical Damage Taken based on the seed stage for 15 seconds, with a 21 second Cooldown.

9. Character Name: Rose
    Class Name: Tempest Burster

Rose The Empyrean Gunner, Tempest Burster

Tempest Burster is a result of Rose being sent to Elrios through a dimensional tear and joining the El Search Party and trains to become stronger so she can fight the Nasods.

Her skills are:

Add The Tracer, Overmind

Overmind is a result of Add experimenting on countless people in Elrios. During the invasion from demons the people saw a new hero and healer in Overmind but all he sees in new test subjects.

Overmind’s skills are:

• Trolley Dilemma: A Buff that gives one ally 20% MPR, 1.5% Cooldown Acceleration for 50 seconds with a 180 second Cooldown.
• Detoxication: A Buff that provides 12% All Skill Damage for 1s while in field that lasts for 12 seconds with a 15 second Cooldown
• Cure: A Buff that spawns a healing bomb on top of every ally: 
•           Recover 100% Special Resource
•           40 - 55%, Instant Hp/Mp Recovery (+5% per DMP used)

Chung The Guardian, Comet Crusader

Comet Crusader is a result of Chung becoming determined to save his father who was corrupted by demons and because of his strong will to fight, his Guardian Stone transforms and fortifies his cannon and armor allowing him to stand in front of the enemies’ attacks and guard his friends.

His skills are:

• Rapid Guardian: Buff that provides a 1.4x Cooldown Acceleration, 8% Action Speed, and Mp gain for 12 seconds with a 22 second Cooldown
• Wonder Wall: Buff that has 50% Damage Absorption and gives Super Armor for 11.5 seconds with a 16 second Cooldown.
• Iron Howling: Debuff that does -10% Physical Defense for 5 seconds and removes debuffs from allies within range with a 12 second Cooldown.

Eve The Nasod Queen, Code: Antithese

Code: Antithesis is a result of Eve finding a mysterious code in a destroyed core. In hopes of rebuilding the Nasod Kingdom she uses the unknown code resulting in hundreds of errors to pop up while using it. Unable to accept that she released a failing code she forces all the results to come back successful but it overloaded her emotion core. Because of the code, she couldn't tell the difference between right and wrong anymore and decided she is perfect and whoever goes against her is wrong.

Her skills full of errors are:

• Destruction Aura: Buff that provides 11.5% Physical/Magical Attack and 23% Maximize for 30s with a 10s Cooldown
• Awakened Will: Code Failess: Debuff that gives -30% Physical Defense for 5 seconds.
• White Box: Removes debuffs from all allies within range with 21 second Cooldown.
• Purify: Buff that provides 99.9% Damage Reduction for 0.5 seconds with a 10 second Cooldown.

       Class Name: Avarice

Lithia The Seeker, Avarice

Avarice is a healer who hustles for profit. Lithia turned her eyes to healing magic after her attempt to remove the curse of the wraith. She decides to use the curse that grants her great mana to enhance her magic. In turn, she developed her own magic that allows her to use minerals to enhance the effects of her magic and begins charging people for healing them. She decides to gain as much profit as possible.

Her skills are: 

• Golden Vow: A buff where a [Golden Vow] is created with one ally. Ally with the [Golden Vow] will receive 20% Physical/Magical Defense.
• Sandstorm Carried Will: This skill gives a bonus effect to your allies with [Golden Vow]. Sandstorm Will skills are also cloned to cast from the vowed, applying all the effects but no damage.
• Reasonable Price: This skill kills mobs giving stacks of [Pay] to all party members, [Normal Mob: 10, Midboss:20 Boss: 50], up to 100 stacks. Each stack of [Pay] gives 0.2% Special Active MP Cost Decrease (Max 20%).

Celestia is a result of meeting a strange weapon who calls himself Clamor after  awakening inside a temple. As they travel together, Noah and Clamor begin to form a bond. When Noah goes back in time, waking up inside the temple again, he goes back in time to when Clamor is still alive. Prophetess is a result of when Rena noticed the spirits have begun to hide away from the humans, she decided to become a mediator that would bridge the worlds and rekindle their link. She discovers that when she records the spirits' voices and turns it into prose, she gains the power of the spirits. Soon, she meets up with an ancient language expert from Feita to decipher the spirits language. This is where she discovered that the power grew stronger when melodies and chords were added. As her senses became more acute in Elriabrunnr, Rena could see that everything in the world had patterns and flow, just like how words had rhyme and rhythm. Combined with her senses and the wisdom of the spirits, she has become the prophet that foresees dangers and leads the world.

Nyx Pieta is a result of when Noah wakes up inside a temple, and finds Yuria in trouble but fails to save her. However, Noah manages to use the power of the Moon to heal her before it is too late. His success in saving Yuria causes Noah to become fixated on trying to save everyone the way his brother would have using the healing power of the Moon, despite it being harmful to his body. Noah continues to use the power of the moon, convinced that protecting others by sacrificing himself is what his brother would have wanted.

Prime Operator is a result of Rose getting inspired by Nasod designs and engineering after being thrust into Elrios through a dimensional tear. Through tireless research, Rose continues to build her army of mechs that are extremely powerful. Rose is now hailed as the Goddess of Machines that will obliterate anyone that stands in her way.

• Armored Tempest: Supper Armor for 1 second within the field. The duration is 5 seconds with a 14 second Cooldown.
• Mecha Control: a Debuff that grants -40% Defense for 10 seconds from Focused Strike! Stigma or autogun command attack with a 8 second Cooldown.
