Dunes, Dunes, the Musical Fruit
Empires and Puzzles continue to expand its content for its player base - bringing them Season V, better known as the Dynasty of Dunes. Of course, with this new stage comes a fresh batch of awesome summonable heroes players can hope to include in their roster, and believe us when we say the effort to get them might be worth it considering just how amazing these new heroes are. Not only can they rely on their Special Skills to make short work of their enemies, but their Passive Skills are nothing to sneeze at too! With that said, here’re our picks for the Top 10 Empires and Puzzles Best Dunes Heroes That Are Powerful!
10. Faiez
Crops are good this time of year
Faiez may have just become our favorite 3* Healer, and it’s not hard to see why.
His Plentiful Harvest, while at Slow Speed, does a ton of good stuff one can usually expect from a higher-star hero. He boosts the health of all his allies by 350 and grants them immunity to new status ailments for 4 turns. And as that’s not enough, he also gives them +30% defense for 4 turns, too! Awesome, right?
Because he’s from Sun Family, his Passive Skill makes it that he has a 70% chance to boost the health of all his allies by 10% and/or cleanse the latest cleansable status ailments from them when he does Plentiful Harvest. A better 3* Healer that Faiez is hard to come by these days!
What Makes Faiez Great for Dunes:
- Boosts the health of his allies by 350 and makes them immune to new status ailments for 4 turns
- Gives his allies +30% defense for 4 turns
- Has 70% chance to boost the health of all allies by 10% and/or cleanse the latest status ailment when casting his Special Skill

9. Waqas
Attack!
3* attackers are useful to build up for Tournaments, and Waqas? Is a hero you’d want to build up ASAP.
His Unyielding Protector deals 205% damage to all enemies - which is a lot for a 3* hero to do, though it comes with the price of being unleashed at Slow Mana Speed. However, Waqas also reduces the max health of all enemies by 110 each turn for 3 whole turns too! And because he takes his role of attacker pretty seriously, his Passive Skill gives him a 70% chance to deal 70% damage to all enemies and/or give them -34% attack for 3 turns when casting his Special Skill. You just know he’ll be a pest come Rush Attack battles!
What Makes Waqas Great for Dunes:
- Deals 205% damage to all enemies
- Can reduce max health of all enemies by 110 each turn for 3 turns
- Passive Skill gives him a 70% chance to deal 70% damage to all enemies and/or give them -34% attack for 3 turns

8. Scoratek
Anybody got an insect spray?
Dunes Heroes got a Fiend Summoner too - and it just so happens that he looks like a Fiend himself!
Scoratek’s Scarab Throw literally throws a Scarab Fiend at a single target while dealing them 190% damage as well. The Fiend absorbs healing equivalent to 30% of its target’s max health before disappearing, and it explodes after 3 turns, leaving behind 300 damage to its target and minor damage to nearby enemies. As if fiends aren’t annoying enough as they are!
Also, Scoratek’s Passive Skill gives him a 70% chance to deal 70% damage to all enemies and/or give them -24% mana generation for 3 turns when casting his Special Skill. And since he’s at Fast Mana Speed? He may just trigger his passive ability more often than not!
What Makes Scoratek Great for Dunes:
- Deals 190% to the target
- Summons Scarab Fiend for the target which absorbs healing and explodes after 3 turns
- Has Fast Mana Speed
- Passive Skill gives him 70% chance to deal 70% damage to all enemies and/or give them -25% mana generation for 3 turns

7. Junaid
Contemplating mercy, maybe?
Season V has heroes that attack and heal at the same time - which makes Junaid a special brand of hybrid hero!
His Slash and Support does exactly that for his team. At Fast Mana Speed, he can deal 400% damage to the target - and then heal all allies for 30% of the damage dealt. Now that’s a healer masquerading as a full-blown warrior!
And because his awesomeness does not stop there, Junaid’s Passive Skill gives him a 50% chance to deal 70% damage to all enemies and/or give them -24% mana generation for 3 turns. It may be lower than your usual 70% in other heroes, but if RNG is on your side? It may not even matter in the end!
What Makes Junaid Great for Dunes:
- Has Fast Mana Speed
- Deals 400% damage to the target and heals all allies for 30% of the damage dealt
- Passive Skill gives him a 50% chance to deal 70% damage to all enemies and/or give them -24% mana generation for 3 turns.

6. Azmia
She thicc tho
Another hybrid hero, Azmia offers something most others don’t - she heals and counters!
Her Counterstance recovers 20% health for all allies at the onset. Its secondary effect then gives her and her nearby allies the ability to counterattack with 120% of the damage received for 4 turns, which gradually increases by +5% per each counterattack - for the max amount of 150%. Nice!
Her Passive Skill cements her as a healer though, as after casting her Special Skill, Azmia has a 60% chance to boost the health of all her allies by 10% and/or cleanse the latest cleansable ailment from all allies. Azmiazing!
What Makes Azmia Great for Dunes:
- Recovers 20% health for all allies
- Gives herself and nearby allies the ability to counterattack with 120% damage for 4 turns which can increase to 150%
- Passive Skill gives her a 60% chance to boost the health of all her allies by 10% and/or cleanse the latest cleansable ailment from all allies.

5. El Naddaha
Let her play you the song of your doom
Ah, El Naddaha. A harpist she may be but that won’t stop her from being all-around powerful!
Her Luring Song, at Fast Mana Speed, makes her deal 305% damage to the target and minor damage to nearby enemies. However, its real menace is in its ability to make the three of them immune to new status effect buffs for 3 turns - and punishes each attempt by making them receive 200 damage for it. Yikes!
Her Passive Skill also gives her a 50% chance to deal 70% damage to all enemies and/or dispel the latest dispellable buff from enemies when she casts her Special Skill. Suffice to say her song won’t be soothing to her enemies any time soon!
What Makes El Naddaha Great for Dunes:
- Has Fast Mana Speed
- Deal 305% damage to the target and minor damage to nearby enemies
- Makes them immune to new status effect buffs for 3 turns and makes them receive 200 damage for each attempt
- Her Passive Skill also gives her a 50% chance to deal 70% damage to all enemies and/or dispel the latest dispellable buff from enemies when she casts her Special Skill.

4. Khepri
Catch him if you can!
Fiends, fiends everywhere! Just like Scoratek, Khepri’s handing them out like candy to his enemies.
His Scarab Bombardment deals 275% damage to the target and nearby enemies, and also gives them a take-home Bomb Scarab Fiend which damages and absorbs healing meant for them at every turn. And, true to its name, these type of fiends explodes after 3 turns - dealing even more damage to whoever’s afflicted with them and nearby enemies as well. Oopsie-doopsie!
Khepri’s Passive Skill gives him a 60% chance to deal 70% damage to all enemies and/or give them all -24% mana generation for 3 turns when casting his Special Skill. Definitely a hero you’d want on your side instead of against you!
What Makes Khepri Great for Dunes:
- Deals 275% damage to the target and nearby enemies
- Gives them a Scarab Fiend which deals damage to and absorbs their healing. It also explodes after 3 turns
- Passive Skill gives him a 60% chance to deal 70% damage to all enemies and/or give them all -24% mana generation for 3 turns when casting his Special Skill.

3. Horus
Birdone?
Man, heroes with Very Fast Mana Speed tho. Horus, tho.
His being an Unrelenting Hunter not only makes him deal 205% damage to the target and their nearby enemies but it also reduces their health by 110 each turn for 3 turns to boot. And all this! At Very Fast Mana Speed! Horus definitely has the makings of a phenomenal hero!
Let’s not forget his Passive Skill that gives him a 40% chance to deal 70% damage to all enemies and/or give them -34% attack for 3 turns, which may activate when he casts his Special Skill. A Legend this hero truly is!
What Makes Horus Great for Dunes:
- Has Very Fast Mana Speed
- Deals 205% damage to the target and nearby enemies
- Reduces max health by 110 each turn for 3 turns
- Passive Skill gives him a 40% chance to deal 70% damage to all enemies and/or give them -34% attack for 3 turns when he casts his Special Skill.

2. Sobek
So bek it!
We do love our attackers, and Sobek is no exception!
He does one thing and he’s extremely good at it. His Jaws of the River deals 290% damage to all enemies, and it can bypass defensive buffs, including counterattacks. This makes him a ferocious offensive hero from the get-go!
His passive ability allows him to deal even more damage. When casting his Special Skill, he gains the ability to either deal 70% damage to all enemies, or give them 246 Sand Damage over 3 turns at a 60% chance. Attack, attack, attack - Sobek does it well!
What Makes Sobek Great for Dunes:
- Deals 290% damage to all enemies
- This bypasses defensive buffs, including counterattacks
- Passive ability gives him a chance to either deal additional damage to enemies or give them Sand Damage

1. Khonshu
Birdtwo?
If Holy has Horus, it just makes sense that Dark has Khonshu - the Yin to his Yang!
Khonshu’s Midnight Strike, also at Very Fast Mana Speed, has a very specific goal in mind: end his target. After all, it “only” deals 425% damage to the target, as opposed to others’ abilities which have a lot of artsy secondary effect to their attack! However, his Special Skill rewards Khonshu if he manages to defeat his target in one blow via giving him +50% mana - making him ready to strike again. Awesome.
Lastly, his Passive Skill gives him a 40% chance to deal 70% damage to all enemies and/or give them -24% mana generation for 3 turns when casting his Special Skill. He’s in no way Horus’ inferior - and he’s here to prove it!
What Makes Khonshu Great for Dunes:
- Has Very Fast Mana Speed
- Deals 425% damage to the target. If it kills the target, Khonshu gains 50% mana.
- Passive Skill gives him a 40% chance to deal 70% damage to all enemies and/or give them -24% mana generation for 3 turns when casting his Special Skill
