Phasmophobia: How To Hide From Ghosts

(start at 0:12)

Do you want to avoid the ghost's company? Find those hiding places, then.

Every location will have plenty of hiding spaces for you to look out for, giving the ghost less chance of finding you and becoming a permanent house guest (death).

During the hunting phases, there are several strategies to avoid being seen by ghosts.

Step 1: Look Around!

Obviously, you won’t be able to find the hiding spots if you aren’t looking around the map. So, make sure to get well acquainted and find those finding spots.

Step 2: Lockers And Closets

One of the easiest places to find to hide are your lockers and closets.

These will mainly be in:

  • Bedrooms
  • Hallways
  • Attics
  • Basements

Before a hunt, I would suggest just looking through the lockers and closets as some will be empty and some will have been blocked off. Let’s face it, you don’t want to be in the middle of a hunt and try to hide in a full closet. That would suck. like a lot..

Step 3: Behind The Furniture

Another ideal place to hide would be behind some furniture; you can usually find them hiding behind some crates. Depending on the map you choose, there are other locations to hide, like behind a chair.

Step 4: Turning Your Light OFF

When a hunting phase is active and you are on high difficulty and unable to find any hiding places, be careful and find a hidden corner and switch off your light. Light and sound are the major things that ghosts look for.

The success of this depends on whether they manage to locate you. However, turning off your light will increase the likelihood that you won't be chased.

Step 5: SHHH, Be Quiet

Phasmophobia has the impressive feature that ghosts can hear you! Having stated that, there is no use deciding to talk to your teammate after locating a hiding place. Whether you are hiding or not, the ghost will approach you immediately if they hear you.
