Danganronpa Trigger Happy Havoc is a visual novel game, which has also been adapted into an anime. There are eight chapters in the game, prologue and epilogue included, and it takes place in a high school called Hope’s Peak Academy. The main character, Makoto Naegi, and fourteen other students are imprisoned in the school by a robotic bear and told that the only way to escape is to kill another student and not get caught by the others. Since it is a visual novel, there is a lot of reading involved as you try to help Makoto get to the bottom of things, after a murder occurs. Players will spend time investigating different areas and trying to find contradictions in statements from other characters, similar to the games in the Ace Attorney series. Danganronpa Trigger Happy Havoc is a nice change of pace if you want to get a RPG storyline, without all the action and fighting.
